Chapter 111 - Returning to an Old Place

There was no denying it—after changing into a new appearance, Xiao Hei really did give people a refreshing sense of "brand-new."

Compared to his previous whirlwind-like look, this new form was clearly far more likable.

Though perhaps it was tied to his personality—because even with a new body, Xiao Hei's eyes were still that same dazzling, piercing red.

Even if he were a prince, he would probably give people the impression of a rather seductive kind of prince.

After getting used to the flexibility of his doll-like body, Xiao Hei glanced at Lin Feng, as if saying: This should satisfy you now, right?

In response, Lin Feng simply smiled and nodded, clearly quite pleased with Xiao Hei's new appearance.

"Alright, since everything is settled, let's head out."

"Anywhere Door!"

As he spoke, Doraemon reached into his four-dimensional pocket and pulled out the Anywhere Door.

"Take us to the Wind Village we went to yesterday!"

Once Doraemon finished setting the location, he opened the door.

On the other side, a completely different landscape appeared.

The moment they stepped through, the tatami under their feet instantly turned into lush green grass.

To be honest, this was Lin Feng's first time using the Anywhere Door together with Doraemon and the others.

Although the door appeared frequently in daily-life storylines…

There was no doubt it was one of Doraemon's most broken, overpowered tools.

The feeling of casually traveling through space like this—it was something Lin Feng found hard to forget.

He looked back. Inside the not-yet-closed door was still Shizuka's room, yet around the doorframe itself stretched nothing but vast open meadow.

"Fwoosh! Fwoosh! Fwoosh!"

Perhaps stirred by the warm and lively atmosphere, Fuko immediately chose to unleash her freedom the moment she arrived on this land.

Like a carefree little bird, she shot straight into the sky, soaring hundreds of meters upward in an instant, flitting across the heavens at astonishing speed.

She looked just like a child joyfully releasing her nature.

Compared to her, Xiao Hei was far more composed. He maintained a steady flight at a fixed height, following closely behind Lin Feng.

"Sorry, everyone… looks like the Anywhere Door's coordinates were a bit off. Wind Village seems to still be some distance away…"

After checking their surroundings, Doraemon scratched his head, tongue sticking out a little as he offered an embarrassed smile.

"This way. The correct direction should be over here."

After confirming the bearing, Doraemon led the group deeper into the valley.

"Wow, the scenery here is so beautiful!"

This was Shizuka's first time in the Wind Valley, so she was naturally fascinated by the picturesque landscape.

"Right, Shizuka? This place is super pretty! And there are lots of interesting animals and fun games. I'll show you around later, okay…?"

Hearing her sigh in amazement, Nobita hurried up to her side, grinning flatteringly as he enthusiastically made the proposal.

"Nobita, we can do that later. Did you forget why we came here in the first place?"

Although Shizuka was intrigued by the animals and games, she hadn't forgotten their purpose.

"Uh… of course I didn't forget. It's just that the clues for that Ma Fēngkǎ Pearl probably won't be that easy to find, right?"

Nobita scratched his cheek awkwardly under her questioning.

"That's exactly why we all need to put effort into searching. If we leave this unattended, it'll definitely lead to something terrible later."

Shizuka's expression was firm—clearly, she had come with a very pure sense of purpose.

"Yeah… you're right. I understand, Shizuka! I'll work hard to find clues and help solve this crisis!"

Perhaps infected by her determination, Nobita clenched his fists and declared loudly.

"What are you talking about, Nobita? In the end, I, Fat Tiger, will be the one who finds the clues and saves the day! Right, Suneo?"

Fat Tiger glanced down at Nobita with disdain, giving himself a thumbs-up as he boasted with a laugh.

"Uh… y-yes, of course. Fat Tiger, you're the best. You'll definitely find the clues before Nobita…"

Suneo had no courage to contradict Fat Tiger face-to-face, so he could only play along.

Lin Feng followed a short distance behind them.

While observing the environment, he listened to Fat Tiger and the others brag and talk nonsense up ahead.

He shook his head helplessly, a faint wry smile on his face.

If nothing else, their mentality was unbelievably optimistic—despite not understanding anything yet, they were already acting like victory was guaranteed.

No wonder in every big adventure, they only started panicking once danger appeared right in front of them.

If not for occasional luck-buffs and the protagonist halo of the "five-man hero squad," they probably would've been dead many times over.

But Lin Feng didn't intend to leave initiative in the hands of others. Sometimes, taking action first was the safest and most reliable choice.

As they continued drawing closer to Wind Village territory, they soon returned to the hill where they'd parted with Temujin and Domuzhen yesterday.

Back then, both sides had said that they would meet again when they had time.

Who would've expected that this "sometime" would turn out to be tomorrow?

Lin Feng wasn't sure what expression Temujin and Domuzhen would show when they saw Nobita and the others returning so quickly.

But no matter what, this matter was serious—and Wind Village had always had friction with the Lan Tribe.

If the Lan Tribe successfully summoned the Wind Monster—Ma Fēngkǎ—

Then without a doubt, Wind Village would be one of the first targets to be attacked.
