Chapter 113 - The Sealing Sword and the Mafengka Pearl

"What!?"

"You're saying the shaman of the Lan Tribe—Clan Leader Wulanda—has been awakened?"

"And he even intends to break the seal on the wind monster Mafengka, letting it loose upon the world again?!"

To be honest, when the Elder of Wind Village heard this news, his once slightly narrowed eyes—along with his eyelashes and long beard—trembled uncontrollably from the shock.

As the oldest and most experienced elder in the village, he was far more familiar with the old legends than young ones like Tiemuzhen.

And precisely because he understood them so well, his expression had become one of utter disbelief.

Because he knew clearly: if everything Lin Feng said had truly happened, it would bring a catastrophe beyond imagining to the world.

"Mm, that's right. Which is why we need to quickly locate that island where the Sealing Sword and the Mafengka Pearl were placed. We have to get there before Wulanda does, and secure both the Sealing Sword and the Mafengka Pearl."

"Elder, you should know where that is, right?"

As the representative speaking directly to the Elder on behalf of Doraemon's group, Lin Feng didn't waste time with extra chatter.

Solving the problem as soon as possible was more important than anything else.

"That place… is mentioned in old legends."

"According to the tales, after the Wind Tribe's leader Noahzhen defeated the wind monster Mafengka, he sealed it into three Mafengka Pearls using the Sealing Sword."

"Two of those pearls were buried with Wulanda in his tomb."

"As for the last one, it was placed together with the Sealing Sword on a small island at the far southern end of the sea. That island is called Dragon-Jaw Island."

"There's a massive active volcano on it. From afar, the island looks just like an evil dragon raising its head above the waves, spewing fire at the sky."

With the Elder's vivid explanation, Lin Feng and the others finally obtained the information they needed.

The last Mafengka Pearl and the Sealing Sword were indeed on that southernmost island—Dragon-Jaw Island.

The question now was… how exactly would they get there?

"So that means… Fengzi and Xiaohei are also parts of Mafengka…?"

After hearing this from the Elder, Suneo glanced nervously at the two dolls floating beside Lin Feng.

To think he had even wanted to capture one to take home as a toy… If he couldn't control them, they might just bring disaster straight into his house.

From the Elder's explanation, they had learned a crucial fact: the complete form of the wind monster Mafengka possessed terrifying power.

It could even control the weather and summon massive floods. If that happened… his entire house could drown.

Even though Fengzi and Xiaohei weren't monsters now, the destructive power they had shown was already frightening enough.

"Well, that may be true, but right now they don't show any signs of having such terrifying abilities…"

Shizuka stroked Fengzi's cute little body as she spoke gently.

"Shuu~! Shuu~!"

Feeling her touch, Fengzi affectionately rubbed his head against her palm.

No matter how one looked at him, it was almost impossible to imagine such an adorable creature being connected to a terrifying wind monster.

On the other hand, Xiaohei—with his cold aura and aloof temperament—did feel a bit like Mafengka.

But strangely enough, he obeyed Lin Feng without question.

No one knew how Lin Feng had tamed him.

"In that case, Doraemon, can't we just use the Anywhere Door to go directly to the island?"

After hearing the Elder's explanation, Nobita spoke with his usual naive confidence.

"No, Nobita. The Anywhere Door can only connect to places with exact coordinates. Since no one knows the precise location of that island, we'd have to try over and over before we hit the right spot."

Doraemon sighed helplessly. If it were really that easy, they wouldn't have gone through all this trouble to consult the Elder.

"Huh…? It's that complicated? Then what do we do…?!"

Nobita really hadn't expected the Anywhere Door to have such a restriction. He always thought it could take them anywhere without fail.

"Don't worry. Now that we've reached such a critical point, the Wind Tribe must act as well."

"Tiemuzhen, go inform everyone. Have all villagers gather immediately."

"Kaimujin, prepare the Wind Ship."

"You all will board the Wind Ship and head to Dragon-Jaw Island."

After a brief moment of thought, the Elder issued a series of calm, decisive orders.

"Yes, Elder!"

Tiemuzhen and another man—likely the Elder's attendant—bowed respectfully and hurried off to prepare.

"The Wind Ship? What's that…?"

Gian perked up at the unfamiliar name.

"It's the 'Noah's Ark' our ancestors used long ago. Once you board it, it will guide you toward your destination."

"Come, let's head outside as well. Starting up that ship is no easy task."

The grey-haired Elder slowly rose from his chair and walked toward the exit.

Doraemon's group exchanged glances, then followed after him.

Lin Feng, however, already had a deep impression of the Wind Ship. Its most amazing feature was that it didn't sail on water—it flew in the sky, driven by the power of wind.

In a way, it really was a flying ship.

Following the Elder, everyone soon arrived near a large pit at the edge of a valley.

Thanks to Tiemuzhen's call, many villagers had already gathered there.

They all knew that since the Wind Ship was being activated… something big was about to happen.
