Dekisugi lay on the bed with an ice pack on his forehead, his tone full of apology.
When Shizuka arrived, she had already told Dekisugi about the class competitions that the school was going to hold for this summer sports meet.
As the class monitor, failing to step forward when the class needed him most must have been a source of great self-reproach for Dekisugi, who always excelled academically and took the lead.
