It's been a few weeks since the encounter with Lilith and since then a lot had happened in the world and also in the life of Lisa and Amir.
There had been rumors spreading around of monstrous beasts parading the country at dusk but this seemed to all be in the words of mouth and not reality as patrol and security had been hightened but no update on it's legitimacy.
But something wasn't right and they knew it, how else would the random killings in the forest be explained, there were literally people left for dead, with thier guts open. Intestine and all visible for the passers-bys to see. Surely no human would do this right?.
Or maybe one could explain the constant howls that escape the vastness at night, were there monsters existing or not. This caused the queen to deploy a team of imperial soldiers into the forests to verify these claims because she too was scared for her life.
The Soldiers came back with little to no news at all. One of these days, the night was specifically bright as the Full moon shone providing somewhat lumination to the cold, starry night. The Soldiers were patrolling the forests as usual. They were divided into s group of threes scattered across the vast forest, guns strapped to thier chests for protection.
One of these groups had decided to take a detour around the river area of the forest, they sat down, tired after a long aimless walk and laid on the grounds, close to the bank of the river.
'I honestly think the queen is making a fuss over this issue' one of them said as he picked up pebbles tossing them blandly into the river. 'Better to be safe than sorry' Another replied as he held a twig examining it aimlessly.
'I agree, but she is just overworking us.. it's been about five days and still no sighting of this..... Monsters' said the last one and they all sighed and fell into scilence.
Suddenly, A big slurping sound was heard breaking the scilence, they exchanged glances snd quickly leapt to thier feet, taking thier guns, cocked it and stood to shoot. But they didn't see anything other than a huge, overshiny horse with a horn propped out of its head. It was deep sea blue by shade. The horse bent down, across the otherside of the river drinking water.
'Oh, it's just a horse' said one of them smiling
'A beautiful one at that too' Another said, they both eased themselves, lowering thier weapons but the last one was skeptical.
'And an overly wierd one at that' he added and they all exchanged looks and raised up their weapons to shoot, but the horse was gone.. it wasn't there anymore.
'What? Where...' but his voice traded off, the group of three was now reduced to a group of two, one of them had dissapeard, but how?. The remaining two skittled pointing thier guns everywhere. No sooner did they hear a thud behind them, they turned to look, it was the head of thier colleague, bloody and half eaten..the rest of his body was no where to be found.
They looked at each other, horror evident in there faces, they decided to run for it. As they made to dash, a great gust of wind swiped past them and so did one of them. The duo had now be reduced to a Solo and it was the skeptical man.
'Oh..God' he cried as he ran into the bushes, wailing for help, he heard large thuds behind him, then a roar and before he knew it he was on the floor, he had tripped over the dismembered body of the man that was swiped earlier.
'No' he gasped, he stood up to run but was met with a horrific sight instead. Right before him was the horse from earlier. It's eyes were deep red, muscles tensed, talons escaping it's hooves and most of all, it's mouth was bloody.
'Jesus christ, please don't kill me' he sobbed as he closed his eyes waiting for impact, but a great gust of wind came again and when he opened his eyes, the monster was no longer there.
He ran, thanking The heavens inwardly for this opportunity. There is danger looming in the country and in the world, are the humans ready?.
