Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: A Spirit with Maxed-Out Special Effects!

Since that day, Qian Renxue became a frequent visitor to Yun Chuan's side. Whenever Bibi Dong went to handle political affairs, she would quietly sneak in to play with him. Sometimes she would even confide in him and pour out her troubles.

Yun Chuan, meanwhile, faithfully maintained his persona as a baby, appearing utterly bewildered by her monologues, but in reality, he firmly remembered everything she said. He wanted to analyze her personality and emotional journey to determine what attitude and methods he should use to 'conquer' her.

Every time Qian Renxue secretly snuck in to play with him, sometimes they would play so long they would forget the time. As a result, they would always be caught by Bibi Dong, who had just returned.

After a cold expression, the young Qian Renxue, like a child who had done something wrong, would hang her head and slink out of the room.

However, most of the time, Qian Renxue was able to leave before Bibi Dong returned. Yun Chuan was certain that Bibi Dong also knew about Qian Renxue secretly coming to play with him every day, but for some reason, she pretended not to know.

After all, she still held a mother's love for her; if she didn't see it, she simply pretended not to.

......

Time flowed by quietly like this.

In a blink of an eye, Yun Chuan was six years old.

During these six years, he diligently played the part of a child. He didn't act abnormally in the slightest; he played when he should play and made mischief when he should make mischief. It was as if he completely regarded Spirit Hall as his own home. Anyway, with the Female Pope backing him, Yun Chuan could do whatever he wanted without consequence.

His current identity in Spirit Hall was not that of a Holy Son, nor an ordinary Spirit Hall disciple, but the adopted son of the Female Pope. Bibi Dong was his nominal mother.

And today, he was six years old.

The moment of destiny had arrived!

Spirit Awakening!

Douluo Continent is a World that places extreme emphasis on bloodline and talent. As long as you possess a good Spirit, then as long as you don't die prematurely, you will surely stand at the peak in the future. Conversely, if you are a good-for-nothing, you can only struggle to survive in the mud for your entire life! The most classic example is the Grandmaster Yu Xiaogang.

Therefore, Spirit Awakening, for the people of Douluo Continent, can truly be said to be the moment that determines destiny!

Whether it's a dragon or an insect, it all depends on today!

......

Awakening Hall!

This was a solemn and magnificent hall.

It was a place in Spirit Hall specifically for the awakening of Spirits for high-ranking disciples. Inside, apart from an awakening array in the very center, there were no other sundries. However, on the surrounding walls, there were murals and sculptures depicting various angels fighting evil monsters, radiating light and saving the human World. Overall, it was very ceremonial.

Yun Chuan's small hand was held by Bibi Dong's slender jade hand as he slowly stepped into this grand hall. Today, he was the only one awakening his Spirit in this Awakening Hall. This was not a special privilege; it was simply because there happened to be no children of his age today.

Six years old is the best time for Spirit Awakening. Not more, not less.

At this time, several attendants were already waiting in the hall. Seeing Bibi Dong walk in, holding a six-year-old child, they quickly bowed.

"Greetings, Supreme Pontiff!"

Bibi Dong's expression was graceful, and she didn't say much. She simply let go of his hand, signaling Yun Chuan to walk into the central awakening array. A faint smile finally appeared on her noble face, seemingly encouraging him not to be afraid.

Yun Chuan, who was only six years old this year, had long hair like black jade and skin so fair it seemed to glow. On that exquisitely crafted face, which seemed to be the most perfect masterpiece of heaven, he appeared somewhat uneasy due to the upcoming moment that would determine his destiny. But with his mother's encouragement, the panic in his clear black and white eyes finally faded, replaced by determination!

Step by step, his small body eventually walked into the awakening array.

"Good child."

Bibi Dong's face showed a loving smile, seemingly proud of her son's bravery. She looked like a foolish mother who overly doted on her child.

In these six years, Yun Chuan had used every trick in the book and finally succeeded in maxing out this woman's favorability!

Next, the Spirit Awakening officially began!

The person presiding over the awakening ceremony was, without a doubt, the Female Pope. Although the awakening of a Spirit would not be better simply because the person presiding over it was more powerful, it was still about the sense of ceremony!

Otherwise, there would be no need to specifically come to the Awakening Hall for the awakening; as long as there was an awakening array, a Spirit could be awakened anywhere. Spirit Hall wouldn't have bothered to specially build such an Awakening Hall.

"Chuan'er, relax a bit, don't be afraid," Bibi Dong said gently. Then, with a wave of her hand, the central awakening array began to glow! Even the various sculptures and murals around the hall began to glow, clearly indicating that these things were not just decorations.

Yun Chuan's name in this life was naturally still Yun Chuan. Perhaps it was because of his cheat-like attribute panel, but somehow, when Bibi Dong decided to name him, she chose the same name he had in his previous life.

Yun Chuan in the awakening array slowly closed his eyes, feeling warm all over, as if he had returned to his mother's womb. Truly, as a transmigrator who had consciousness from within the womb, he guaranteed that this feeling was exactly the same as being in the womb!

"Bang!"

It was as if some barrier within his body shattered.

Yun Chuan, with his eyes closed, subconsciously extended his right hand, and a hammer slowly materialized. However, when he truly grasped this hammer, he only felt his hand sink. He couldn't hold onto the object in his hand at all, and it slipped out, slowly falling to the ground.

"Boom!!!"

The entire hall shook!

Not just the hall, but the entire Spirit City was affected by a tremor. It was as if an earthquake had occurred!

And the culprit behind all this was merely the small hammer that slipped from his hand and fell to the ground, causing these consequences.

Yun Chuan slowly opened his eyes and subconsciously looked downwards, only to see a hammer, almost with maxed-out special effects, enter his vision!

This was a hammer with a cylindrical head, entirely golden, as if made of the purest gold. It was densely covered with exquisite patterns and adorned with various colorful gemstone crystals!

But what was most striking was undoubtedly the radiant white light that the golden small hammer constantly emitted, as well as the blue electric arcs that occasionally flashed, and the crimson flames that covered its entire body!

Regardless of its inherently domineering and luxurious style, just the shimmering light, burning flames, and crackling lightning effects of this golden small hammer alone made it clear at a glance that it was no ordinary object!

"This is my Spirit..."

Yun Chuan looked at the golden small hammer lying on the ground, creating countless cracks in the hard floor. He subconsciously bent down and reached out to grasp the hammer's handle!

As soon as he gripped the handle, a feeling of mutual understanding immediately surged through him, as if this small hammer was a part of his own body. He could pick it up whenever he wanted.

As for the fiercely burning flames and crackling electric arcs on the small hammer, they couldn't harm him at all. Because this was his Spirit, equivalent to a part of him. How could he possibly harm himself?

After Yun Chuan gripped the golden hammer handle tightly, he pulled upwards with force!

The small hammer remained motionless.

He only felt as if he was holding a mountain.

Heavy, extremely heavy.

Although this thing was a part of him, he simply couldn't wield it as easily as his arm; it seemed he couldn't even pick it up? Yun Chuan was a bit stubborn. He gripped the hammer handle with his other hand as well, pulling upwards with both hands simultaneously, trying hard to lift this small hammer.

But this small hammer, with its maxed-out special effects, remained completely still, no matter how hard he tried. It was as if the hammerhead had taken root in the ground, merging with the earth!
