When Harmonica had told Lucas that Zade knew he was his father, she hadn't meant that literally.
She was only saying it to get him to consider changing his mind about accepting any sentence the judge gave.
Who knew that Zade actually knew that Lucas was his father.
Worse, he knew that Lucas was in prison and not on some business trip like she had told him.
Her face softened, guilt crashing down on her.
She walked towards him and crouched down to his level, pulling him into her arms in a tight hug.
''I'm sorry.'' She murmured, rubbing at his back while his hands tightened around her neck as he cried into her shoulders.
''I'm so sorry.'' She kept muttering, her hand slipping into his hair as she brushed it gently.
Tears threatened to slip off her eyes but she tried to hold it in, not wanting to turn the room into a stream.
She finally pulled away from Zade when she felt that he had already calmed down.
Her hand reached up to wipe the tears away from his face.
