Chapter 12 - dark lotus auction

After a while, the chief returned carrying the dishes and salads. There were five dishes and two salads in total, each plate piled with meat from various beasts, "here is your food sir" the chief said with a smile

"The smell is so fucking good!," Jack said as he inhaled the food, looking like a homeless guy who hadn't eaten for a long time. He then began to take a bite of each of the five dishes .

Which were tiger meat, horse meat, bear meat, wolf meat, and eagle meat. Each dish had its own unique flavors, and with every bite he took his taste buds tremble and scream in ecstasy.

"Being fourth-grade beasts (Qi Grandmaster), their meat was not only delicious but also infused Jack's body with vast amounts of Qi, and his exp bar was rising rabidly."

EXP : { 24000 / 24000 }

Ding !

Congratulations host for advancing to the 7th level of Qi disciple realm!

"So I can actually advance just by eating?" Jack froze as he felt new power surging through his body. "This is broken!"

"Host have to know that… any cultivator who consumes beasts meat can advance in cultivation, especially if the beast is a few realms higher.

However, ordinary cultivators can only absorb a maximum of 10% of the Qi. But due to your bloodline's supreme purity, and because you are the host of this Omnipotent System, you can absorb 100%."

"Sigh… being a genius is really boring."

"After finishing his food, jack got up and placed a pouch containing one hundred thousand low-grade spirit stones on the table as a tip. Although he wasn't required to pay for his first meal.

eating the most delicious food he had ever tasted without giving anything in return didn't sit right with Jack. After all, he was now filthy rich, with 650 million low-grade spirit stones in his possession not counting the middle and high grade spirit stones."

"After leaving the restaurant, he strolled through the streets, buying sweets here and there. Hmmm… what should I do now? Go to an inn and sleep the night away while preparing for the auction? Ah… yes, the auction. How could I forget something so important?"

"There are tons of treasures I obtained from that old man's heritage, so there's no problem selling a few of them. And where could I possibly find a better place than an auction?" Jack said with a smile as he walked toward the tallest building in the city.

~~~~~
After several minutes of walking non stop he finally reached the dark lotus auction.
"He saw a massive building at the city's center, its marvelous structure forged from pure white-golden marble. Each pavilion stretched nearly twenty meters in length, its walls adorned with intricate irregular pentagon patterns that shimmered faintly under the light.
The complex was divided into multiple pavilions—Alchemy, Formation, Weapons, and Artifacts—while at the very heart stood the grand Main Pavilion, bearing the emblem of the Dark Lotus Auction. At first glance, it looked less like an auction house and more like a mighty sect."
"Jack saw countless people entering and exiting the auction house, most of them nobles with the emblems of their families or sects embroidered on their robes. In front of each entrance stood five Garuda cultivators at the Master Realm, ensuring that no disturbance could occur.
This display alone was enough to reveal the terrifying might of the Dark Lotus Auction—for Master Realm cultivators were considered rare experts throughout the entire Desolate Rift Continent."
He walked past the guards, and the moment his foot stepped into the auction house, his eyes widened. Before him unfolded what could only be described as the most beautiful sight he had ever seen.
The inner walls were decorated with low-grade spirit stones that glittered faintly, while towering columns of dark violet were etched with strange patterns that amplified the Qi within the hall, making it a hundred times denser than outside.
Yet, despite the countless patterns woven into the columns, their effect was somewhat diminished—the sheer number of cultivators inside the auction house had clearly made the Qi amplification effect past its natural limits."
And at the middle of the first floor, there was tens of attendants who were standing at their respective places, trying to maintain order, but waves of people were pressing toward them, eager to secure their places.
"As Jack recovered from his shock, he made his way through the bustling crowd until he reached a young female attendant. She looked cute and delicate, her smile bright as she greeted him. 'Hello, sir. How may I be of assistance?'"
I want to sell some items," Jack said with a faint smile.
"Well, sir, for that you'll need to proceed to the second floor," the attendant replied politely.
"There, our appraisal masters will examine your treasures and determine their value, after which you'll be given the appropriate amount of spirit stones."
Thank you," Jack said and without wasting any time . He was heading straight to the second floor. Upon reaching it, he immediately noticed the difference—the number of people had decreased significantly, and the atmosphere was far calmer compared to the noisy first floor."
Suddenly, a voice echoed from behind him. It belonged to a middle-aged man. "Hello, sir. If you wish to have your items appraised, please follow me.
But be aware—the lowest-grade items accepted in this auction are third-grade. Even so, if you have an item below third grade, you may still sell it here for a price unmatched anywhere else."
"Well… I actually want to sell some items ranging from third to fifth grade. So if you can find me a good appraisal master, I would be grateful," Jack said with a faint smile, tossing a pouch toward the middle age man.
As soon as the man inspected it, his eyes widened in shock—inside were fifty thousand low-grade spirit stones.
"This… this, thank you young master! Please follow me!" The middle-aged man's attitude had turned 180 degrees, as his tone now carried more respect. One had to know that he was just a lowly worker in this auction house, so fifty thousand was by no means a little sum to him.
"Jack followed him until they stood before a big golden door with a name above it: Jin Wushuang
afterward, the attendant knocked on the door, and as soon as he did, an angry voice with an oppressive aura echoed from inside the room. "Didn't I say no one dare to annoy me!!".
Elder… I have a young master who claims that he wants to sell some grade 5 items," the attendant said, his body sweating heavily, and his voice tinged with fear.
"Hmmmm… grade 5 items, you say…" The angry voice suddenly faded, replaced by a tone of curiosity. "Then, let him enter!"
Young master, my mission ends here," the attendant said, departing without waiting for a response from Jack.
"Why is he so scared? Whatever," Jack said in a nonchalant voice as he opened the door. and What he saw inside was by no means an ordinary room.
"Treasures!" Yes, the room was essentially a collection of treasures, with the worst of them being at the low fourth-grade.
