Chapter 72
Lily's POV
The moment I stepped outside, the sun hit my face like a slap.I hadn't realized how dizzy I already was until I started walking toward the car.
My stomach was hollow. I'd barely had a bite since morning, and with all the stress and that strange, stabbing pain I'd felt just moments ago, my body was close to giving up.
I made it to the car parked at the edge of the palace driveway and stopped short when I saw the trunk opened wide, and full. Like really full.
There were so many bags. Shoe boxes, dress bags, trays of what looked like expensive wine, and a whole bouquet of satin fabrics in colors too bright to be for just one occasion.
"Is this all for the graduation?" I whispered to myself, my eyebrows scrunching.
No. It couldn't be. This wasn't for the celebration. It was for her.
Jane.
