Lily's POV
The world was a blur when I opened my eyes.
A striking pain shot through my head. That was the first thing I felt, It was throbbing, sharp, and crawling down the side of my head like molten metal. I winced, lifting my hand to touch it, and hissed when my fingers grazed the swelling. My head was damp, maybe it was blood, maybe, or sweat. I couldn't tell, but either way, it wasn't good.
The room was dim now and it looked like hours had passed.
My pulse quickened as the memory came rushing back.
"Oh my God!! Mum, the open door, the wrecked apartment, the pool of blood, the man with the dagger tattoo. Everything that happened last night"
I sat up too quickly, and the room spun. "No… no, no, no…" I muttered, clutching my temples. My legs felt like lead, but I forced them to move. I had to do something.
But who could I call?
