Chapter 23 - Chapter 23 Illusion

life is like a long investment; choose the right people, do the right things, achieve the right results, and show your worth to the world.

It's impossible for a person to only make correct decisions throughout their life, but good fortune is always on my side. I've never lost.

Is it because the Mother God is protecting me? If so, she must be watching me now. I will surely succeed.

But... then what?

If I successfully overcome this difficulty, what comes next? After a grand gamble, am I waiting for... another even grander gamble?

Will I return with countless chips after one success after another, or after one failure....

Will I never return?

"Heh heh, don't you have any idea? You lowly gambler," a mocking voice came.

The scene switched again. Aventurine was standing on the street, lost in thought, and the sarcastic voice came from behind him.

"What's going on?" Aventurine clutched his head and looked behind him. A somewhat illusory 'Old Woman' stood behind him with her arms crossed, looking disdainful.

Fu Xuan: Who is this?

March 7th: Is Aventurine actually two people?

Welt: No, his body is very illusory. This isn't a real person. Perhaps the power of harmony is causing him to have a Phantom?

Aventurine clutched his head, mumbling, "Am I dreaming, or have I completely lost my mind?"

"Have you forgotten me so soon? When you were tied to the electric chair by the warlords of Iyimani Ka, who gave you the idea?" The Phantom responded softly, a playful smile on her face.

"Enough…" Aventurine interrupted him indifferently. "I might be crazy, but I'm not stupid. Get out of my head, newborn of harmony."

"Heh, harmony? Don't be silly, this isn't our first meeting, no need to be so formal, right?" The Phantom chuckled and retorted,

"I am you, and I understand myself even better than you do, and I know exactly what you want. You are dying, and you want to drag a few unlucky people down with you... That's why you came here, isn't it?"

The Phantom's gaze was as sharp as a knife, staring directly at the other party, and sneered, "...The great unveiling, do you really think you can do it?"

"Why not?" Aventurine responded without showing weakness, straightening his back.

"Perhaps you can deceive everyone, but you can't deceive yourself," the Phantom pointed out calmly.

"I can prove it to you—before you completely disappear, I will accompany you on one last journey…..."

"Let's have a good talk on the way," the Phantom said nonchalantly.

As she spoke, the Phantom began to walk at a leisurely pace towards the depths of Clock Studios Theme Park. Her figure gradually disappeared into the darkness, as if to lead Aventurine into an unknown abyss.

"...Damn it, what the hell are you?" Aventurine finally couldn't stand the eerie atmosphere anymore and couldn't help but curse. His voice echoed through the empty theme park, carrying a hint of despair and anger.

Sparkle: Oh, Little Peacock is cursing for the first time! Could it be... that you've been broken by yourself? Hahahahaha

The Phantom seemed to sense Aventurine's gaze and suddenly stopped. She slowly turned around, faced Aventurine, then crossed her arms over her chest, and said indifferently:

"Most people in this world spend their entire lives just to reach one result... and I am that result."

After speaking, the Phantom's eyes became sharp, like two sharp swords piercing directly into Aventurine's heart. She then said, "Kakavasha, I am your future."

These words were like a heavy hammer striking Aventurine's heart, causing him to tremble all over.

Then the Phantom dissipated, and everything returned to normal. Aventurine just clutched his painfully aching head and said self-deprecatingly,

First auditory hallucinations, now visual hallucinations. Great. Next, am I going to be promoted to a harmony Emissary?

Aventurine looked around and found no tourists.

Why are there no tourists here? What is that Wing-head doing?

Only one Pipi... No, a child?

Star: Wing-head... Sunday's nickname is getting shorter and shorter.

Guinaifen: Hehe, Mr. Sunday's nickname +1!

Aventurine in the scene was fully focused on observing his surroundings when he suddenly noticed something unusual. Looking into the distance, he saw a small boy dressed simply and somewhat shabbily, standing alone next to the Clockie statue.

I remember that Golden Hour is not allowed for minors...

Aventurine mused to himself, "Strange, according to regulations, Golden Hour should prohibit minors from entering…" Filled with doubt, he couldn't help but ask, "Hey, little friend, why are you here alone?"

Before he finished speaking, Aventurine quickened his pace towards the child. At the same time, he instinctively clutched his head with his right hand, a pained expression on his face, and his brows furrowed tightly.

"Sir, what's wrong? You seem to be feeling unwell…" Hearing the voice, the little boy turned around and looked at Aventurine curiously.

When their eyes met, Aventurine was instantly stunned by the sight before him—the little boy's eyes were like two dazzling gems, with pink, azure, and cyan pupils interweaving, forming a pair of dreamlike, colorful eyes.

But what shocked him the most was the profound meaning contained in these eyes—Evians!

"Your... eyes? This is impossible, who are you?" Aventurine was so shocked he was incoherent.

"They're beautiful, aren't they? Sister said they're a gift from 'Mama Fingo.' Colorful eyes can bring good luck." The child put his index finger to his mouth with an innocent expression and exclaimed, "Ah, sir... you also have a pair of beautiful eyes. They're so pretty!"

Aventurine asked in astonishment, "Are you... alone? Where are your parents?"

The child nodded very obediently and sensibly, then replied,

"They're all in this theme park. Mom and Dad went in first. I'm just about to go find them."

Immediately after, he waved to Aventurine: "So I have to go, goodbye, sir. I hope you have fun too!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the young child ran off into the distance, leaving Aventurine standing alone, muttering thoughtfully, "Those eyes, and Mama Fingo, no, this is impossible..."

"There will be no more Evians in the universe..."

While thinking, Aventurine decided to catch up, then started to follow behind him.
