Chapter 108. All Three Egyptian Gods Descend! Little Blue's Holactie Proclaims a Divine Victory!
The Duel Monsters world had already confirmed—beyond any doubt—that the D-player's Graveyard truly contained the gods.
Although the Three Egyptian Gods had been nerfed in the Higher World, it was undeniable that they possessed the DIVINE Attribute and the Divine-Beast Type.
That alone was the best proof.
No further evidence was needed.
And "Holactie the Creator of Light"!
In the eyes of all their old-guard duelists, that God Card only ever appeared when they faced the Great Evil God Zorc.
Its condition required Tributes of the Three Egyptian Gods.
In the GX world,
the entire Duel Academy was dumbfounded by this blazing "midsummer" of milling.
Because they'd already had the cautionary explanation about Tearlaments' Elegy ahead of time,
they understood very clearly that those two "Earth Fairies" were the chief culprits enabling Dragonmaids to mill.
But none of that mattered.
What mattered were the Three Egyptian Gods that had been milled,
as well as the card "Holactie the Creator of Light."
"Mamma mia!"
"Light… what? Light? The Creator… of Light?"
"Whoa—! Is that… is that—?"
"A fusion of the Three Egyptian Gods?"
Professor Chronos was so shocked he couldn't even speak clearly.
His eyes had gone a little vacant.
He seemed unable to believe the card lying there in the Graveyard in that short video.
"Hiss—!"
"The more I watch, the less I can see through this D-duelist."
"So what exactly is he trying to do?"
"The God Cards have been sent to the Graveyard!"
"What on earth is his ace?"
"Don't tell me his ace is the Three Egyptian Gods in the Graveyard?"
Head Coach Napoleon scratched his head.
He simply couldn't figure out what this guy in front of them was trying to pull.
You have to know: that one mill wave had sent half the Deck to the Graveyard.
While the old guard of the original series were thinking this,
the duelists of the other four Duel Worlds were thinking the same thing.
In the short video, the D-duelist's turn continued.
Mystery Duelist Blue (D-side): "I activate the effect of 'Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson' in my Graveyard!"
Mystery Duelist Blue (D-side): "I target Little Blue and make his Level 7 become Level 5!"
"At the same time, I pay half my Life Points to Special Summon this card!"
"Level 5 Tuner 'Destrudo,' plus Little Blue's Level 2!"
"That's Level 7!"
"Synchro Summon! 'Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!'"
"My Graveyard Tuner monster 'Glow-Up Bulb' activates!"
"I send the top card of my Deck to the Graveyard and jump back!"
"I tune Level 7 Clear Wing with the Level 1 Tuner 'Glow-Up Bulb!'"
"Level 1 plus Level 7 equals Level 8!"
"Synchro Summon! 'Chaos Ruler, the Chaotic Magical Dragon!'"
"I activate Chaos Ruler's effect! Mill five cards!"
"I choose the DARK 'Thunder Dragonroar' and add it to my hand."
"All the other cards go to the Graveyard!"
"'Block Dragon' in the Graveyard activates—banish three EARTH monsters to Special Summon it!"
"I overlay Chaos Ruler and Block Dragon!"
"Two Level 8 monsters!"
"Build the Overlay Network!"
"Come forth! 'The Zombie Vampire!'"
"Activate 'The Zombie Vampire'—I detach one material!"
"I mill the top four cards of my Deck, and if a monster is sent by this effect, I can Special Summon one of them to my field."
"Unfortunately, I didn't hit one!"
"But that's fine!"
"I milled this Trap Card—'Magical Trick Mirror!'"
"I banish 'Magical Trick Mirror' from my Graveyard!"
"I discard 'Monster Reborn' from my hand! Start reviving that monster from the Graveyard!"
"Uncle!"
"'Obelisk the Tormentor!'"
Obelisk the Tormentor?
This guy really did use all sorts of oddball card combos,
and brute-forced a god onto the field.
That Trap Card's effect
also made many of the old guard look grave.
In the Higher World,
the Three Egyptian Gods apparently weren't as simple as they imagined.
ZEXAL world.
"Wait, what?"
"His ace monster…"
"Don't tell me it's actually the Three Egyptian Gods?"
Yuma Tsukumo stared blankly at the descent of the so-called God Cards.
An idea had taken shape in his heart.
But even though the duelists across all the Duel Worlds,
just like Yuma Tsukumo, had realized a possibility—
namely, that the Three Egyptian Gods might really be the D-duelist's ace—
they immediately dismissed the thought.
For one, Monster Reborn had already been discarded to the Graveyard.
The D-duelist no longer had Monster Reborn in hand.
Which meant he had no way to revive Slifer the Sky Dragon in the Graveyard,
or The Winged Dragon of Ra.
Summoning Obelisk the Tormentor
seemed to be his limit.
5D's world.
The Synchro world's duelists were, of course, thinking the same.
"That's enough, that's enough—getting Obelisk out is already plenty!"
"The problem is, that Obelisk is in Defense Position, so it can't break the opponent's board, right?"
"Yeah, and the opponent's Life Points keep recovering by the ATK of each monster that's Special Summoned. Even if he does summon the Three Egyptian Gods, what good would it do?"
"I said it already! The King's Duels aren't for entertainment! Blue's gonna lose at this rate!"
Yusei Fudo listened quietly to the chatter around him,
yet his thoughts were entirely different from theirs.
Higher-World duel thinking was shrouded in mystery.
Who knew whether this D-duelist still had an ace up his sleeve?
Moreover,
judging by the current situation,
the D-duelist didn't seem to be stopping at all.
And reality matched Yusei Fudo's prediction.
Mystery Duelist Blue (D-side): "I'm not done yet! I activate 'The Revived Sky God' in my Graveyard!"
Mystery Duelist Blue (D-side): "I can banish this card from my Graveyard to place one 'Monster Reborn' from my Deck on top of my Deck."
"And since there's a Divine-Beast in my Graveyard, I also draw one card."
"What I draw—naturally—is Monster Reborn!"
"Well then, the equation for victory is complete!"
"I activate the Trap 'Dark Spell Regeneration' in my Graveyard!"
"I banish 'Dark Spell Regeneration!'"
"I discard 'Monster Reborn' from my hand!"
"Come, be reborn—O god!"
"The sun that burns all!"
"'The Winged Dragon of Ra!'"
"At the same time, by that Trap's effect—I choose your 'Topologic Bomber Dragon' and send it to the Graveyard!"
Sure enough,
the second God Card,
The Winged Dragon of Ra, was Special Summoned.
Duel veterans across the worlds couldn't help but gasp.
He really had managed to Special Summon two God Cards to the field.
Could he be a genius?
At the very least, for every other duelist except this D-duelist,
these Trap Card lines of play
were roads not even imagined.
Duel Monsters world.
The moment the second God Card appeared,
Seto Kaiba completely lost it.
"The gods? Two of the gods?"
"Yarooo! Who is he?"
"Obelisk the Tormentor! And The Winged Dragon of Ra!"
"Both—"
Kaiba almost reflexively suspected that this D-mystery duelist might be another incarnation of Atem.
But in the next instant he cooled down slightly.
Those God Cards had empty fame without the true power of gods.
Even if he summoned two—so what?
By contrast, Yugi Muto and the Pharaoh within him could no longer suppress their emotions.
More Pharaoh than the Pharaoh himself?
Who could stand that?
Who was the true master of the God Cards?
Obviously he, Pharaoh Atem,
was the true master of the gods.
Yet this D-duelist
had actually summoned two God Cards before him.
Could it be—
he even intended to summon the third God Card,
Slifer the Sky Dragon?
And as it turned out—he really did.
In the short video, the combo kept going.
Mystery Duelist Blue (D-side): "We've come this far."
Mystery Duelist Blue (D-side): "I think everyone's guessed what I'm about to do!"
Mystery Duelist Blue (D-side): "So, you all want to know how my last God Card hits the field, right?"
"Alright then! Watch closely!"
"I activate this Trap in my Graveyard—'Transaction Rollback!'"
"By banishing it and paying half my LP, I copy the effect of a Normal Trap in my Graveyard, other than 'Transaction Rollback.'"
"The one I choose is—"
"my second copy of 'The Revived Sky God!'"
"And this 'Revived Sky God' has another effect!"
"I Special Summon one 'Slifer the Sky Dragon' from my Graveyard."
"After that, both players draw until they each have six cards in hand."
"Come! The third of the gods!"
"Special Summon—'Slifer the Sky Dragon!'"
Here it comes, here it comes.
The third god.
It's here.
Slifer the Sky Dragon
successfully descended.
All three God Cards—
the D-duelist had actually summoned every last one.
Who was the Pharaoh?
This D-duelist right here—he's the Pharaoh.
If it were him, he might truly become the real King of Games.
Yes.
The three remaining duelists on Red Team—A, B, and C—
all had their scalps tingling from watching these God Card summons.
Teammate B, the other Mystery Duelist Blue, stared at the field of the Three Egyptian Gods,
utterly speechless.
He wanted to praise his teammate as insanely cracked plus ultra,
but he couldn't even find the words.
The two enemy duelists on Red Team were trembling as they watched the descent of the Three Egyptian Gods.
Even if these Three Egyptian Gods weren't that strong,
even if The Winged Dragon of Ra's ATK was 0,
for some reason,
their hearts were overwhelmed with shock.
So shocked they were left speechless.
As the two opponents,
even if they won—so what?
Their foe was already soul-shaken, possessed by Pharaoh Atem himself.
This duel—even if they didn't win—
they could die without regrets.
At the same time,
the various Duel Worlds erupted in an uproar.
They had just reviewed the Three Egyptian Gods not long ago,
and now here they were summoned again.
One or two would have been fine.
But right now,
it was, in the truest sense, all three Egyptian Gods.
Everyone got their fill.
Duel Monsters world.
Yugi Muto and the Pharaoh within him could no longer sit still.
At first they'd thought this was a "for-fun" Deck.
But these three God Cards
utterly and completely broke their mental guard.
How was this a meme Deck?
This was clearly a Holactie-focused build.
". What do you mean? He really summoned all of them? Partner?"
"He—he summoned them all! The Three Egyptian Gods!"
The Pharaoh within couldn't help but cry out.
"Another me, I never expected this!"
"The third 'Little Blue' actually gave him hope!"
"This is ridiculous!"
Yugi was about to cry—who summons the Three Egyptian Gods like this?
You have to know, when they summoned the Three Egyptian Gods,
they used Tribute Summons.
So, did the Three Egyptian Gods of the Higher World
have some unspeakable secrets?
While the old guard across the worlds were reeling from the gods' descent,
they realized another problem.
The gods were stylish, and summoning them was soul-shaking.
But how do you win?
Keep in mind—Holactie was still in the Graveyard.
In the short video,
the D-duelist quickly provided the answer.
Mystery Duelist Blue (D-side): "I think you've all noticed the last God Card I milled earlier, haven't you?"
Mystery Duelist Blue (D-side): "That's right—just as you thought!"
"I activate 'Plaguespreader Zombie' in the Graveyard!"
"If this card is in the Graveyard, I can return one card from my hand to the top of the Deck to Special Summon it."
"If it leaves the field, it's banished."
"Rise again—Plaguespreader!"
"At the same time!"
"'Vampire Retainer' in the Graveyard activates!"
"If this card's in the Graveyard, I can send one 'Vampire' card from my hand or face-up field to the Graveyard to Special Summon it."
"If it leaves the field, it's banished."
"Where's my 'Vampire' card, you ask?"
"Don't forget!"
"My Xyz monster!"
"'The Zombie Vampire' has the 'Vampire' name!"
"I send 'The Zombie Vampire' to the Graveyard!"
"Rise from the Grave—Retainer!"
"I overlay Retainer and Plaguespreader to build an Xyz network!"
"The final key to the victory equation is—"
"the Xyz monster!"
"'Herald of Pure Light!'"
"Special Summon complete! Activate 'Herald of Pure Light!'"
"I detach one material to target a monster in my Graveyard and add it to my hand."
"Then I put one card from my hand back on top of the Deck."
"The one I choose—"
"is of course that card!"
"Return to my hand and proclaim the final dawn!"
"'Holactie the Creator of Light!'"
"On the field—three God Cards!"
"I send them all to the Graveyard!"
"Judgment descends! 'Holactie the Creator of Light!'"
"Duel—over!"
With that final, seamless sequence,
the opponent's 30,500 LP flickered like a candle in the wind,
while Blue's 1,125 LP felt as infinite as the heavens.
Once "Holactie the Creator of Light" was summoned,
the final divine judgment ended the duel.
Just as shown,
the winners were the Blue Team pair.
All the Duel Worlds roared.
In the end,
the Three Egyptian Gods truly did summon Holactie.
And the appearance of "Herald of Pure Light"
almost gave the duelists across the worlds a brain hemorrhage.
You really could retrieve Holactie from the Graveyard.
Damn—genius.
A true genius.
Using the Graveyard as a Deck,
he really did take Holactie back to hand.
Every duelist's eyes went wide.
Their dazed gazes still couldn't quite believe that final sequence existed.
The Duel Monsters world fell utterly silent.
Joey Wheeler, Yugi Muto, Ishizu Ishtar, Marik Ishtar, Seto Kaiba, and the others were all dumbfounded.
They stared at the final divine judgment,
and long afterward, they still hadn't recovered from the shock of Holactie.
What is a special victory?
This is a special victory.
Holactie the Creator of Light appeared again,
and brought down a divine special win condition.
