Chapter 34 Six Years Later, Conscription.
Six years later, six years after the conscription.
Barak Kingdom, Soto City.
As night fell, the Soto Great Soul Fighting Arena was ablaze with light.
Three figures battled on the dilapidated arena, while another, with wings of flame, spread out. The air seemed to weave a dense web of flames through the air, making the air seem exceptionally hot.
"Fatty, take action! End this soul fight right away!"
"Alright, Brother Mo. First soul skill, Phoenix Fire!"
A figure on the stage clasped their hands together, and stone pillars burst forth from the arena's ground, encircling a soul master.
At that moment, the Phoenix Fire enveloped the arena and the Soul Fighting Observation Deck erupted in joy. Clearly, today's soul fight was truly spectacular.
"Oh my god! This is truly shocking! The previously invincible Tiger-Wolf team lost to the Dragon-Phoenix team in their first match! And one of them is a Grand Spirit Master! Congratulations to the winners!"
With the host announcing the results, the Soul Fighting Tournament concluded successfully.
After the two members of the Dragon-Phoenix team collected their prize money, they immediately left the Grand Soul Fighting Arena.
One of them was a towering figure, with thick eyebrows, fierce eyes, a straight nose, and a square mouth, a truly imposing and majestic appearance. The other, with a red Mohawk and a broad, portly figure, had a rather naive air.
These two were Xuan Mo and Ma Hongjun.
Six years ago, Xuan Mo had withdrawn from the Barak Kingdom's Junior Spirit Master Academy, despite the academy's initial objection. It was only after Flanders dragged Zhao Wuji to the academy that they finally agreed.
What happened in between remains unknown...
Xuan Mo looked at Ma Hongjun with great satisfaction. After all, seeing that Oscar hadn't wasted his talent, as a brother of several years, it was impossible not to be happy.
At least the fat man's original tragic fate had been somewhat changed by his arrival.
"Hmm, I didn't expect Xiao Ao to come too."
As the two of them left the house, they saw a man in a simple gray suit, with peach-colored eyes and a full beard, pushing a small cart and hawking his wares.
The two exchanged glances and hurried over.
"Bitch Ao, what are you doing here?"
Ma Hongjun took advantage of Oscar's inattention and yelled from behind, nearly scaring him to death.
"Stupid, fat guy, what are you doing?"
Oscar, regaining his composure, glared at Ma Hongjun. But what was even more surprising was that Oscar didn't respond to Ma Hongjun's behavior, but instead kept his head down.
Even Xuan Mo was a little surprised.
"Bitch Ao, what the hell are you doing?"
Ma Hongjun approached with curiosity.
Although Oscar kept trying to hide, he couldn't hide from Ma Hongjun. So, before long...
"Holy crap! Little Ao, you've made a killing! No, no, you bitch, you have to treat us, or this won't make sense."
Ma Hongjun's words piqued Xuan Mo's curiosity. When he walked over and saw Oscar clutching a large bag of Gold Soul Coins, he was startled.
But he quickly reacted.
"Little Ao, you must have won this from gambling on the Soul Fighting Competition. But then again, where did you get all that money?"
"Hey! I borrowed it from Dai Laobai, and I have to pay him back half later..." Oscar looked at Xuan Mo with a mournful expression.
"That's still a lot, you have to treat us both."
Seeing Ma Hongjun's relentless attitude, Xuan Mo also watched the show from the sidelines. Oscar could only grimace, a sly glint in his eyes. "Alright, then, I'll treat you to a visit to Tianranju."
"Okay, you said it,"
Ma Hongjun agreed without a second thought, not even noticing Xuan Mo standing nearby with a strange look on his face.
"Fatty, I'll treat you to Tianranju next time. Little Ao, don't you have anything else to do here?"
Xuan Mo looked at the playful duo with a look of helplessness and interrupted them. Ma Hongjun, realizing what was going on, also gritted his teeth at Oscar.
"Actually, the dean wanted you to go back early so you can prepare for tomorrow's new student intake. But he also wants you to be an examiner for the fourth round."
"Oh! I didn't expect time to fly so fast!"
Xuan Mo sighed at the first half of Oscar's words. But when he heard the second half, his brows raised slightly.
"Wasn't Old White always the examiner for the fourth round? Why are you suddenly asking me to come?"
"Hey, Old White Dai is busy with the first round, recruiting students and welcoming new students with Teacher Li. You and Fatty Sha just missed out on the recruitment a year ago, and now, even though you're qualified, you've been drafted for this fourth round."
Oscar smiled with a hint of gloating, then shrugged helplessly. After all, the only students with the most qualifications for the fourth round were Xuan Mo and Dai Mubai.
"Alright, let's go back first."
Xuan Mo, who knew Flanders well, naturally knew he was capable of such a thing.
"By the way, where's Old Bai?"
"Dai Old Bai, he's taken the twins to the Rose Hotel again. Oh, how envious!"
"Oh!"
Xuan Mo pondered Oscar's words, his eyes flickering.
...
Meanwhile, at the Rose Hotel in Soto City,
Dai Mubai was exchanging glances with a man and woman, though his clothes were not intact.
His shirt was completely torn, his pants were badly torn, and his clothes were torn in many places.
Dai Mubai looked deeply at the man and woman before him.
"I think we'll meet again soon. If anyone bothers you at Shrek Academy, tell them I'm Dai Mubai, the Evil-Eyed White Tiger."
He waved to the beautiful twins and then headed out of the hotel.
However, the woman standing next to the man couldn't help but ask Dai Mubai from behind, "How did you know we were going to Shrek Academy?"
Dai Mubai stopped and said coldly, "You are only about twelve years old. At this age, with a soul power of more than level 20, what else can you do if not to enroll at Shrek Academy? I'll wait for you at Shrek."
When the last word was finished, Dai Mubai had already walked out of the hotel.
Ma Hongjun had just broken through to level 29.
