LUCAS WYKES
I launched a ball of fire at my opponent however he had already moved rushing at me I weaved out of the way of his sword trust next I trapped his legs under a pile of earth and spun on my hill thunder clap impulse already activated.
My leg repped itself around the back of the boys head in a perfect headkick.
"Duel over winner Lucas Wykes."
The near by emitter rushed the boy out of the duelining platform.
"Poor fella to think he got pared up with Lucas of all people."
"I know right."
"Isn't he the strongest student in school?"
"No I think that would be Claire Bladeheart."
"Really I would put all my money on Wykes."
The students around me murmured different things about me but ignored them instead I stepped off the duelling platform exhausted from the duels I've been part of for the whole class.
'Fuck I didn't think it would be so draining using my deviant magic all bloody day.'
I take a seat next to Arron ready for the show. Jamie is facing of against Charles Ravenshit himself.
"Oh....this ought to be fun." Arron said in excitement.
"How many seconds do you think he'll last?" I asked with a smirk on my face. Arron holds up five fingers which made me chortle.
Jamie took out a ruby red long sword from his dimension ring the blade looks like it was made from a sea of red flames it had an almost liquid like texture to it. Its hilt is jet black with a sapphire embedded in its pommel.
"Beautiful." I murmured.
Ten seconds that's how long it took for Jamie to destroy Charles it looked stupid Jamie literally just stud in the same place and waited for Charles to give him an opening for him then Jamie's ruby red blade blazing with red flames found its mark then Charles was down with a stain on his pants.
Then Jamie stood in the same place waiting for more challengers it was then that I realised I would be watching a master class in the ways of the sword.
Jamie defeated all his opponents by only relying on his swordsmanship. I watch his last match with pure delight as Jamie dodges his opponents water whip technic and in the next moment he copies it and creates his own fire whip technic to clash with Roland's whip technic.
'At least I think that's the fella's name.'
However water beats fire every single time so Jamie's fire whip ends up crumbling into steam every time he clashes with Roland's whip technic.
"Is he an idiot fire can't beat water dammit." Arron hissed.
But I simply smiled not knowing Jamie's plan but knowing the fact that he had one.
"Don't worry Jamie's got something cooked up."
Arron merely nodded without conviction. However I focussed on the fight at hand hell it seemed that everyone was. Soon the small duelling platform began to be covered by steam. Jamie and Roland however continued their clash resulting in Jamie's flaming whip crumbling every time.
'What is Jamie planning?'
Then I realised that he was about show all of something fantastic as instead of forming his own whip and clashing with Roland.
Jamie chooses to rush forward into Roland's upcoming swing he ducks beneath it and while inside Roland's guard about to be trapped by Roland's returning strike Jamie jumps back into the air and points his blade towards Roland. However at that very moment Roland's whip arks above trying to ensnare Jamie leg but it is to late because Jamie has already formed his flaming whip it coils like a snake around Roland's neck without the boy even realising it.
"Duel over winner Jamie Wykes." The professor announced with a proud tone.
I stand in awe and I without realising what I am doing begin to clap then Arron claps then the howl class stands to applaud the to lads for showing Xyrus academy's duelling class the best duel of the year.
"You are a terror with that blade of yours." I say raising my hand in the air to high five Jamie. He grinned and our open palms collided.
I approached Roland next and offered him a smile and my hand.
"That was a bloodydamn good duel man."
"Thanks Lucas....your cousin is a damn terror." Roland replied with an exhausted smile. The boy is the same age as Jamie with short blond hair, tanned skin and laughing blue eyes.
'I've seen this fella before....wait!!'
"We're in the same class!!." Say in realisation off where I'd seen the boy.
"Oh now you've noticed me after having my ass kicked by your cousin." Roland said with toothy grin.
I merely chuckled.
"Isn't the trip to the beast glades tomorrow....aren't you worried about burning yourself out?"
"Nah not really I should be good once I take an elixir." Roland replied while rubbing his neck which was burned slightly.
'From what I saw from the duel just now Roland was using his handle to swing around his water whip that's great and all but I saw the look on his eyes when Jamie got close-up to him despite being an augmenter the fella nearly pissed himself.' I think to myself in amusement.
"A bit of advice friend." I start.
"Or this ought to be good." He replied with a forced smile that said.
'You can shove your advice back up your arse.'
But I decide to continue.
"You should swap to a long sword like Jamie instead of swinging around that handle I know its probably something special from house Alderman's volt but trust me man you would be an even bigger terror with a blade in your hands."
He places a hand on his chin in thought.
"Hmm I'll think about it....but only because I lost to Jamie not because you said so." Then the boy headed over to his group of friends who were waiting for him.
I smile inwardly because I never thought I'd meet someone with such an interesting technic and fighting style.
'Now if only he would follow my fucking advice.'
Jamie, Arron, Emily and I eat our dinner but of course it cant be peaceful because Arron wont stop glazing Jamie.
"And Jamie went like boom! into the air and whip went like harush!harush! to wrap Around Alderman's neck."
"Arron." Jamie says.
"Shut up!" I say while cutting some meat from my plate.
"Oh relax lord Wykes." He drawls. "I was just explaining to the girl about how cool Jamie looked at that moment.
After dinner I went to my dorm and waited for the next day.
