The second research project Judge was overseeing was the development of scientific weapons. Since this was Judge's area of expertise, Kaido had specifically assigned the project to him.
When the group arrived at the laboratory, Eneru's gaze was immediately fixed on a unique weapon displayed inside a glass container in the center of the room. It was a golden staff, highly similar to Eneru's own weapon. The only visible difference was that the two ends of this staff had been modified to be three times larger than the main shaft, appearing as if two small, spiked maces were embedded at the tips. Upon closer inspection, one could notice that the protrusions on these mace-like sections had numerous hollow spaces.
Judge enthusiastically began his introduction. "Lord Eneru, this is the item Lord Kaido had prepared just for you".
"For me!?" Although Eneru had a feeling about the weapon the moment he saw it, hearing Judge confirm it still deeply moved him.
"That's right!" Judge walked over and pressed the power button on the machine below, opening the glass container. "Lord Eneru, please try it out. This is the weapon most suited for you, created by combining Onigashima's strongest technology with the Sky Island Dials you provided".
Eneru's eyes shone with interest. He glanced at Kaido, and seeing the smile on his face, Eneru slowly walked over and retrieved the staff.
"Oh!" His first thought was that it was incredibly heavy, feeling at least dozens of times heavier than his original golden staff. "It doesn't look much bigger than my old staff, so why is the weight so different?"
Hearing Eneru's question, Judge quickly explained. "That's because the material used to create this weapon was brought here by Lord Kaido. It's a special material created by that man named Wapol. We call it: Munch-Munch Metal. This metal has truly incredible properties."
"Firstly, this metal has an extremely high density and is almost indestructible. Even normal cannon fire can't destroy it. Of course, a person as strong as Lord Kaido is a different matter. This is why its weight is so immense".
"I see!" Eneru tested the weight in his hand. He had to admit, the new staff felt much better than his original one. To be honest, his previous golden staff only looked impressive; its actual durability was quite lacking.
"Besides that," Judge continued, "Munch-Munch Metal also possesses memory properties".
"Memory properties?!" Eneru questioned.
"Precisely, Lord Eneru. Even if the weapon is damaged and its external shape is altered, its memory properties will cause it to quickly return to its original form. This is another aspect of its indestructibility".
"Oh, this is becoming more and more interesting!" Eneru said.
"Not only that, but we have also implanted the ability of the Weapon-Weapon Fruit into this staff. It can transform into various weapon forms based on your thoughts. You can try mastering this ability later. Finally, the most crucial part is that we have placed a large number of Dials you brought from Sky Island inside this weapon, allowing you to create thunderclouds by yourself using only this weapon!"
At this, Eneru's eyes completely lit up. Eneru knew a little about science and technology. His ship, the Ark Maxim, already had the ability to generate thunderclouds, which allowed him to unleash his ultimate attacks like Raigo and El Thor. However, using the ship in combat was impractical, as the Ark Maxim was too large a target and too easily destroyed. Eneru also couldn't constantly control the ship while fighting.
Now, if this single weapon could accomplish the same feat, it would be a massive power-up for him. He impatiently asked, "How many thunderclouds can it release?"
"At full power, it might not reach the destructive force you and Lord Kaido used to destroy G1, but taking Wano Country as an example, destroying any specific area of Wano Country is certainly not a problem".
"Oh!" Eneru was now completely fixated on the weapon. He looked at Kaido and asked, "Big Brother Kaido, is it okay if I take it right now?"
"Worororo, of course, it's fine," Kaido replied. "This was prepared for you from the start. What do you think? Are you satisfied?"
"Satisfied? Of course, I'm satisfied! Thank you so much, Big Brother Kaido!" Eneru said gratefully.
"As long as you're satisfied!" Kaido responded. He then scanned King and Jack behind him. "King, Jack, if you have any ideas, you can also ask Judge to make suitable weapons for you. But honestly, I don't recommend that you do it".
King seemed indifferent, but Jack was puzzled, and even Eneru turned his attention to them.
"Do you remember what I said at Marineford? Of all powers, only Haki reigns supreme! The reason I created this weapon for Eneru is because of the nature of his Devil Fruit ability. The Beasts Pirates currently needs Eneru's destructive power to deter the Marines and the World Government. But in my heart, rather than relying on weapons, I hope you all rely on yourselves".
At this point, Kaido's expression became serious. "I have high expectations for all of you. I believe every one of you can reach the level of a Marine Admiral. Don't disappoint me!"
Kaido's words immediately sobered everyone present, and even Eneru's expression became serious.
"Understood, Big Brother," Jack was the first to state firmly. "I won't disappoint you!"
Eneru also spoke seriously. "Don't worry, Big Brother Kaido. I always remember what you said. At least until I defeat that yellow monkey, I won't slack off".
"Hmm," Kaido grunted in acknowledgment.
Next, under Judge's guidance, the three—Kaido, King, and Jack—went to the third laboratory. Compared to the first two projects, the work in the third laboratory seemed relatively ordinary. However, it was still very important to the Beasts Pirates.
This laboratory was manufacturing new communication equipment that integrated Wano Country's Den Den Mushi and Sky Island Dial technology. Both of these bio-technologies had communication capabilities, but each had its weaknesses. For instance, a basic Den Den Mushi couldn't transmit images or record sounds. Conversely, while Sky Island Dial technology could store and replay images and sounds, it lacked long-distance communication range.
Following ideas provided by Kaido, Judge successfully integrated the two bio-technologies and created two new types of devices. The first type used a Sky Island Tone Dial as the playback device and a Den Den Mushi as the signal receiving device. The second type used a Sky Island Vision Dial as the playback device, again with a Den Den Mushi as the signal receiver.
Kaido directly named these two new devices: radio and television. "Good, good," he praised. "One day, perhaps these two devices will be able to replace that Morgans fellow's News Coo, preventing the Marines and the World Government from controlling the flow of information across this vast ocean".
If this had been before Judge joined the Beasts Pirates, he certainly would not have believed Kaido's ambitious words. But having witnessed so many miracles in the Beasts Pirates, and having realized that the crew was definitely hiding super-technology that even surpassed Vegapunk's work, Judge had a different idea now. So, he spoke directly.
"Lord Kaido, I have a suggestion, but I don't know if I should bring it up now?"
"Oh, just say it," Kaido commanded. "I've been watching your performance. I can promise you that if that day truly comes, I will grant your Vinsmoke Family the status of overlords of the entire North Blue".
As soon as Kaido spoke those words, Judge's eyes became fervent, and his entire body trembled with excitement. "Thank you so much, Lord Kaido! My suggestion is very simple. I feel that compared to your dream, Wano Country is still too small..."
