Chapter 8 - EXPLOSION AND POWER

(Eren's Narration)

The streets were quiet, but the silence was deceptive. Suddenly, I noticed movement coming from the shadows; four more people were approaching, weapons drawn, exuding a somber tension. These were no ordinary enemies. Survival in this city required intelligence and speed. And I knew it all too well.

Elif was still beside me. I turned my eyes to her; there was fear, yes, but also caution and an involuntary curiosity. Would she run? Or would she trust me? A determination rose within me: no matter who she was, no matter what they did, I would protect her.

Adrenaline coursed through my veins. That intense energy emanating from Eren... dangerous and captivating. I didn't know exactly what he would do, but every movement carried a deadly control and precision. My heart raced, my breath hitched.

The threat from the shadows took on a new meaning next to Eren; fear was no longer alone. As I gazed at him, admiration and anxiety intertwined. Being near him… felt both safe and terrifying.

I took my steps slowly but surely. Every movement was a deadly warning to enemies. Guns, fists… all swift, controlled, and sharp. But I didn't lose my focus; Elif was with me, and protecting her came first.

With one move, I knocked out one of the enemies. The others were stunned and unprepared. The darkness within me was transforming into a source of strength for this moment. To frighten them and at the same time keep Elif safe… this was my true mission now.

My eyes followed his movements. Calm, cool, and deadly… Eren was taking down enemies as if dancing with shadows. My heart nearly stopped; fear and admiration mingled.

I knew most of the dangers in this city, but now I realized that being near him… created a kind of strange security. The danger was still there, but it seemed to be contained by Eren's presence.

When the last enemy retreated, silence once again filled the streets. I stood beside Elif. I could feel her breath; her fear was still there, but the watchfulness and curiosity in her eyes made the danger she was experiencing all the more meaningful.

The dangers in this city were endless. But one thing was certain: I would not leave her alone. Her safety required me to break my own rules. And I would not regret doing so.
