Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: She's Here And All Alone

"Come to think of it... you're really beautiful," Jennifer said, giving her a proper look.

"God, why did I end up with this ugly face?" Jennifer pretended to be sad.

Vivian couldn't help but smile. The girl in front of her was really being dramatic.

"Don't say that. You are not bad" Vivian said, trying to console her.

"Really?" Jennifer asked, squinting her eyes, brimming with excitement.

"Don't even think about it. You look so terrible that only Fatty would be willing to deal with you."

Before Vivian could respond, a voice came from nowhere, causing the smile on Jennifer's face to vanish instantly. A pair of hands dropped a plate of food on the table as the person quietly took a seat close to Jennifer. The uninvited guest was none other person but Jerry.

"What are you doing here?" Jennifer looked at him with a frown.

"Have you seen what I am talking about? Just look at her face…" Jerry said as he looked at Vivian.

"Wait... has anyone ever told you this?" Jerry asked with a serious look on his face.

"What?" Jennifer and Vivian both wondered, as it seemed Jerry was about to say something important.

"Has anyone ever told you that you look like Halloween? Don't let people spend money on Halloween costumes anymore. You just need to stand in the garden and raise one of your hands up and that's it. No need for a costume, since the real Halloween is here…"

"Y-yo... you... Get out!!"

Jennifer shouted at him and pushed him out of the seat.

"Ha!.., Fatty is really unlucky..." Jerry threw one last jab before picking up his plate and walking towards fatty, who was sitting at the very end of the hall.

"Hmph... Who wants that fatty friend of yours?"

Soon the two girls began to eat their food, as their were eating, Vivian raised her heard and looked at Jennifer for a while.

"Why don't you tell me more about the school, especially our classmates? I would really love to know them." Vivian suddenly asked.

A smile blossomed on Jennifer's face. Nothing could be more fun than talking about the school and their classmate. Vivian had no idea she had just pressed her "red button," and the smile meant she was about to explode.

Jennifer quickly closed her food and pushed it aside.

noticing Jennifer closing the food. "Aren't you eating anymore?" Vivian asked,

"Don't worry about it. I'll deal with it later," Jennifer said, waving it off. "Now, let me start with the three main factions in our class" she continued.

"First, the Campus Belles. This group is made up of three popular girls in the school: Sophia Walker, Lisa Reynolds, and Angela Rowley. They're known for their beauty and elegance. But the one who stands out the most among them is Sophia Walker, also known as 'the queen" Jennifer said as she glanced toward the entrance.

Just then, Sophia walked into the hall with her food. The cafeteria fell into silence. She scanned the hall, trying to find a suitable place to sit.

Jennifer smirked "Huh... speak of the devil herself" she muttered.

Vivian turned her head toward the entrance and saw a stunning girl walking in with an air of confidence that immediately drew attention.

"This is weird... why is she alone?" Jennifer muttered, her brows knitting together.

Usually. Lisa and Angela always accompanied her but today, students were surprised seeing her all alone. "Anyway," she continued, drawing Vivian's attention back to their conversation, "she has topped the beauty list ever since she came to the school." Jennifer said and snapped her fingers above her head. "And not just that...she comes from a powerful, wealthy family. So as long as you don't mess with her or try to compete with her, you will be fine. My advice? Stay out of her way."

"Why do you sound like she's a bad person?" Vivian asked, glancing at Sophia who was already taking her seat. "She looks pretty nice to me."

"Ahh... did I just hear you say pretty nice? Seriously! Forget that pretty face you're seeing, she can be scary. The last person who messed with her got expelled and banned from attending any school in this city." Jennifer shook her head.

Vivian's eyes widened. "Is it really that serious?"

"Her background isn't simple. Anything she wants, she can get easily without doing anything" Jennifer said and suddenly leaned forward as she beckoned Vivian to come closer. Vivian felt a bit weird but complied.

"There's a rumor that she has a crush on one of the popular, handsome guys in our class, but he's been ignoring her. That's why she's been in a bad mood lately" Jennifer whispered. And just then, Jovan and Jason walked in.

"Who are these two popular guys you are talking about?" Vivian asked, bringing her spoon down on the empty plate in front of her. She had just wiped her plate clean.

"Coincidentally, they are the ones coming in right now. their are the second faction called the campus god's.Jovan and Jason." Jennifer said with a smile.

Vivian turned her heard towards the entrance and saw two boys whom she have seen earlier today in the classroom. "The one walking at the right side is Jovan That's the one she's interested in"..Jennifer explained.

==========

Jovan and Jason finally took their seat.

"Why did you choose that instead of the usual?" Jason was the first to speak.

"Nah, I am tired of eating the same thing over and over again"..Jovan said, picking up his fork and getting ready to dig in.

"Suit yourself".. Jason said, clearly displeased that Jovan chose something different from they usual.

"c'mon you need to try something different too" Jovan amused at his behavior.

"She's here...and alone" Jason suddenly said.

"Who?" Jovan asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Sophia. And she seems to be looking at you".. Jason said with a smile.

"Should I call her to come and join us?" Jason said while observing Jovan from the Conner of his eyes.

"You want to die this afternoon, huh?"...Jovan asked with a smirk.

"Haha…" Jason laughed, seeing the look on Jovan's face.

=======

Lisa and Angela approached Sophia in the cafeteria. They were still bickering on who is going to be the first to speak. But Lisa later took the lead.

"Sophia we are sorry it's not what you think we are not actually gossiping about you." Lisa pleaded.

"Yes, Sophia. You might have misheard what we said, it's not really what you think. And I don't think anyone else heard it. Even if someone did wouldn't that be better?, at list the person might tell Jovan and that will save you the stress of telling him your self. Isn't it Lisa?" Angela said and glanced at Lisa for confirmation. But instead, she found Lisa closing her eyes in frustration, she really wanted to kill this basket mouth(Angela ) right now.

Sophia's face turned ugly and her body trembled in anger as she scowled at the two idiot standing Infront of her.

"If you don't know what to say, why don't you keep quiet."Lisa said with a tired sigh. She know Angela has ruined their chance to apologized to Sophia now.

"Sophia Don't min...."

"Get lost!"

Sophia shouted angrily as she slammed the table.

"Bang!"

The sound drew the attention of several students nearby, but once they made eye contact with Sophia, they quickly looked away. Lisa and Angela were clearly scared by her outburst. their quickly run to the next seat behind and sat down, then continued bickering with each other.
