I woke up in the middle of the night. My back hurt. I had slept wrong last night with half my body hanging from the bed.
I stretched my body and went back to sleep. But the sleep didn't arrive.
I stood up from my bed and decided to study for a while.
I studied for few hours till it was late night.
I woke up with sunlight falling on my face in morning. I had slept on the desk.
Now, my back hurt even more. It was stiffen and even stretch couldn't do much. I checked the time and it was early to get ready to school. So, I decided to go for a run.
I changed into a linen shirt and tight pants and my casual shoes.
I should go to shopping later to buy some new clothes and shoes.
For now, Exercise Time!!
I went outside without telling anyone. I ain't a kid. Right?
It was bright sunshine and a little bit of breeze could be felt. I started with walking briskly. It has been few weeks since I last went for exercise. Back in London, I have a tight exercising schedule. Gym, Jogging and training.
I thought I would be back to London sooner. But it seems otherwise. Anyways, Dad wants me to be here. So, be it.
I noticed and I was in an unknown location. It was an alley with trash everywhere and graffiti on walls. There were few men smoking.
This early in the morning?
There were alcohol bottles scattered on the ground. Oh, I get it now.
It is better to avoid them and go on my way. But where do I go? Why is this place so confusing?
I checked for my phone and it was low on battery. Why does it have to die when I need it? Useless!
There weren't many people around I could ask for directions.
"Miss? Are you lost? You look worried", asked a man placing his hand on my shoulder.
I shrugged his hand off.
"No, I was just passing by. ", I told him in a clear voice.
I don't know if they are dangerous. It is better to stay on alert.
" Why so cold? ", he asked lifting my chin up with his hand to face him.
I yanked his hand away.
My force made him to fall a little. But he regained his position. Now, more of them were coming in my direction.
Some of them smirking at me. While others, struggling to stand still cause of the alcoholic influence.
Where have I gotten myself into?
"You sound foreign. Are you from here? ", asked another one with cigarette in his hand.
" Yeah. I am new here. ", I replied back.
It is time to act before it is late.
One of them approached me attempting to put his arm on my waist.
I pulled his arm and kicked him in stomach. He landed far away from me.
Others were startled.
" So, this chick can fight too", cigarette guy said and held my jaw in his hand.
I acted immediately and twisted his arm.
I held the hand which had the cigarette and punched his nose with it. The cigarette burnt my palm a little. I let him go and pulled his alarm and kicked him on his chest knocking him out.
I heard a tear. My shirt was toren at the armpits. Damn! I need to go!
Before few more of them could come my way, I ran as fast as I could.
I hated the fact I was running from a fight but if I fight more, my clothes will tear.
Hell you linen!
I ran through the alleys and I somehow reached the main road. I ran as fast as I could but they won't back down.
I bumped into a man wearing a hoodie and shorts.
He turned around and held my arm.
He lifted his hood.
"Y/N, is that you? ", he asked me.
Keifer?
" Keifer? ", I replied back.
Before we could talk anymore, those goons were now in front of us. They laughed at us holding rods and hockey sticks.
I couldn't run anymore.
I looked at Keifer and he stood there besides me.
I had an idea.
" Keifer, can I ask for a favour? ", i asked him and he looked at me raising an eyebrow.
I pointed towards his hoodie.
" Give me that. ", I told him
I noticed one of them was running towards us and he rose the rod in air to strike at us
I held the rod and kicked him hard making him fall on the ground.
" Keifer! Fast! ", I shouted at him
Maybe he understood what I meant and removed his hoddie.
" Handle them for a moment!", I told him taking the hoodie
"Hey! I didn't agree on fighting! ", he shouted back at me but fought anyhow
I wore his large hoodie.
Ready to fight!
I picked up the rod from the ground and charged at them.
Within minutes, they were all on ground wailing in pain.
I looked at Keifer and he was staring at the bodies.
I walked towards him.
"I can't give you back the hoodie right now. Can I borrow it?", I asked him
" Whatever. I still didn't agree on being part of this.", I told me with that arrogant attitude of his.
"I had no choice. Since you did me a favour, what do you want back in return so we can even this out? ", I asked him straight since this man meant business
" Leave the Section E. ", he told me with a smirk.
I laughed a little
" Why are you so adamant in getting me out? ", I asked him.
"Section E is only boys. No girls are allowed. So you must leave. Or we will make you leave. ", he told me lowering his head to meet my eyes.
Just few moments ago, we were fighting on the same side and now he is like this.
" What if I don't want to leave?", I asked him to tease him more.
"Like you have a choice", he told me frowning.
I do have a choice. Choice to knock you out for annoying me. But, it would be wrong to do that after he helped me out.
" Okay, I will think about it. ", I told him.
He was suprised by my answer but hid his reaction behind that cold face.
I wish I could punch that arrogance out of him.
" Keifer, Come with me to Angelo' s? ", I asked him. This way I could reach back home. I still didn't know where to go
I am bad at directions...
" Are you lost? ", he asked me and laughed
I regret asking him now.
"No, I wanted to return this hoodie. And treat you for some breaky. Gema makes nice pancakes.", I replied back.
Sometimes, I am shocked by my own lies.
"Tss",
" Just admit that you are lost and I will go with you.", he told me still smirking.
"Okay. I am lost. ", I told him.
Jeez!
He laughed at me
I hit him on the chest
" Stop laughing! ", I yelled at him
" Ouch! ", he shouted in pain rubbing his chest. I noticed now that he wasn't wearing anything on top.
He has a nice body. He must workout. Nice!
Should I ask him about his gym and all? No, he is annoying. I will ask someone else.
" Now! Let's go!, ", I told him
I didn't want to talk to him more. So, I jogged and pretended to listen to music from my headset.
He too didn't talk and kept jogging besides me.
We reached Angelo's House.
Finally!
I saw Angelo, Aries and Gema outside. They wore a worried expression.
Shit!
I slowed down.
I should get ready to be scolded by Angelo. That in front of my classmate who doesn't leave any chance to laught at me.
Utterly Ridiculous!
Angelo noticed us and he strided towards us
Both of us stopped.
Keifer looked at me
"Why does Angelo look so angry? ", he whispered to me
I didn't reply back.
" Where the hell did you go? ", Angelo shouted at me
" I went out for a run! ", I replied back
" You didn't bother to tell anyone? Are you even a little bit responsible? " he kept shouting at me
I lowered my head. I felt guilty now. I should have told them.
"I didn't know I would take this long.", I replied back...
" Still! Irresponsible! What if you lost your way? Aren't you new here?", he kept asking
He knows me too well.
I in fact lost.
Keifer besides me let out a laugh.
I glared at him
And noticed Angelo was glaring at him too.
"What are doing here? ", Angelo asked Keifer.
"I found him on the way and we jogged together. I invited him for a breakfast. We are classmates and I should know more about them. Right? " I spurted out.
He seemed satsfied with the answer.
"Explain why are you wearing his hoodie? ", Angelo asked next
It felt like he was interrogating us.
" She felt a chill so I gave her my hoodie. We are classmates and we should help each other. Right? ", he replied back looking at me.
Angelo frowned. He looked as he knew through our lies.
" Cmon! Kuya! You ask too many questions! Let's go inside. I am starving. ", I told him .
It worked. He walked inside.
I looked back at Keifer. I glared at him for teasing me earlier.
He smirked.
I turned back and walked back inside.
I didn't even bother to look back if that smug had followed me inside.
I don't care if he freezes out of cold or starves. I don't like him.
I went inside my room and changed into new clothes.
I gave my clothes to the maid to wash them including the hoodie.
I sat down at the kitchen table.
Keifer was on the table too still without a top.
The maids kept staring at him.
"Coffee! Please! I told them. They seemed too occupied with their staring.
I noticed Aries glaring at me.
He never smiles but right now he was staring at me as if he would pick up the knife from the table and stab it inside my neck.
I smiled at him. But he looked way at Keifer.
Kiefer was looking at both of us. And I see Angelo was noticing three of us.
"Stop Staring at Each other and eat your food. " Angelo instructed.
I reached out to bread on the table but Gema took my hand?
"It is burned? ", Gema asked with a worring expression
I took my hand and looked. It was burned. Probably a first degree burn. It started paining now
" Y/N, how did it happen? ", Gema asked me
" It looks like a cigarette burn. ", Angelo told me looking me dead in my eyes.
How did he know?
I am sure he is stalking me.
" Do you smoke Y/N?", Gema asked me
I have no choice. They will keep asking questions.
"Yes.", I lied.
Angelo put his coffee cup on the table forcefully.
Damn!
They all looked at me with disappointed.
" You are heck of a child. Smoking at this age? Seriously? ",Angelo told me
Why does every conversation have to turn out into Angelo scolding me?
I let out a sigh.
" Don't sigh like that! You are beyong my imagination. I really thought I can help you. But- ", Angelo turned towards Gema
" I don't need your help! ", I replied back standing at the table.
" If you have any problem with me, I am happy to go back to London or live somewhere else.", I said him.
" Ma, I think we should just let her go back! ", Angelo told her
" Angelo! We have guests here. We can talk about it later. " Gema told him. And Angelo calmed down.
"Y/N, Calm Down. Lemme treat your hand", she told me and reached out for my hand.
" I don't want your help. Stop, treating me like a kid.", I told her.
Angelo was calming himself down.
Aries looked at me with more angry look.
And Keifer was there observing us all.
He must think I am a troubled child.
Tsk!
Whatever!
"Okay. Do as you wish. We won't bother you. But, please take care of yourself", Gema told me smiling at me.
I let out a sigh.
I went back to eating my breakfast. But, I had lost my appetite.
I looked at Angelo and he was still glaring at me.
I glared back at him.
After the breakfast ended, I went back to my room and wore my uniform.
I stepped outside and Aries was there resting his back against the wall.
He turned towards me.
"Kuya told me to drop you at school. Hurry up. I won't wait for you. ", he said and left.
He said it like he wasn't happy with this arrangement.
Neither was I.
I had no choice but to go with him.
" Where is Keifer? ", I asked him.
" He went with Kuya.", he replied back
"Don't bring him here anymore. ", he told me and unlocked his car.
Why is he ordering me around?
Tsk.
I don't care.
" I will. ", I told him while stepping inside the car.
He looked towards me.
" You won't! ", he told me in a voice.
" I will. Gema told I can do whatever I like. So, you can't really do anything about it. ", I told him and smiled to his face.
" You haven't changed a bit. Still the same. I must say, I still don't like you. ", he told me.
" Feelings are mutual.", I replied back.
We traveled to school without further uttering a word.
When we reached school.
He held my arm and I turned back to face him.
"Something has changed this time. You are no longer in charge. I am. ", he spoke before letting go of my arm.
" So funny. I can still break your bones.", I told him.
"That is the thing. It isn't about fighting. You won't understand. ", he told before stepping out of the car.
I rolled my eyes at him.
Whatever, Aries. I am not scared of you.
