"Me too," Saki Kawasaki said, glancing at her sister.
"Don't look at me. I'm not interested in desserts. Besides, if you feed me, Hiratsuka-sensei might get mad at me," Akira Fujimiya said quickly, noticing Kawasaki Kyoka's gaze.
"Fujimiya-kun, you're so sensible," Hiratsuka Shizuka said, smiling.
After dinner, Akira and Yuigahama Yui went upstairs.
Kawasaki Kyoka watched them leave, a hint of confusion in her eyes.
Who was Akira onii-chan's girlfriend?
Her sister didn't seem able to answer her question, and Kyoka was a little afraid to ask him directly.
.....
In Akira's room,
He asked Yui a few simple questions, and she answered all of them. It was clear she hadn't slacked off over Saturday or the weekend.
But when Akira asked about Yui's cooking skills, she avoided looking at him.
"...This isn't going so well yet," she admitted softly.
Akira saw her expression and understood—her cooking skills still had a long way to go. He shook his head but didn't blame her.
Even if she couldn't master it now, he could continue teaching her during summer vacation.
"Akira-kun, do you… want to see it?" Yui suddenly asked.
"What are you going to show me...." Akira began, but he stopped mid-sentence when he saw her pull out a maid outfit.
"I… I've tried it on. It fits perfectly," Yui whispered, her face flushed.
"The maid outfit needs to be matched with something; it'll look more attractive, or…" Akira said.
"Or what?" Yui asked, blushing deeper.
"I'll go to the bathroom. After you change, come find me there," Akira instructed.
Hearing this, Yui's face felt hot. She knew she might learn something unusual again.
.....
An hour later, in Akira's room,
Yui leaned against him and asked about Yukinoshita Yukino.
Akira didn't hide anything. He explained their date and what had happened that night.
"I said we'd become closer, and Yukino-chan got nervous," he said.
"From this point of view, I should thank you,"
"Thank you, little Dummy," Akira said, looking at her in his arms.
"...Am I… am I the first one?" Yui asked, tilting her head shyly.
"Yes, you are the first. Whether it's holding hands, hugging, or kissing, you're the first," Akira confirmed.
"Akira-kun… then can I be the first to do… that kind of thing too?" Yui asked, her small face bright red.
(T/N: .... So they seriously didn't do anything in the bathroom tsk!)
"I… I need to think about that seriously," Akira said after a moment of hesitation.
"Akira-kun, I… I'm available anytime," Yui said boldly, but avoided looking at his face.
"Silly, you already occupy the first place in my heart," Akira said, hugging her tightly.
Yui hugged him back, feeling warm and safe.
....
Early the next morning — Park,
Akira spoke up.
"Hiratsuka-sensei, I have a question I don't quite understand."
"Do you still have questions?" Hiratsuka-sensei asked.
"Why do couples always have to take the final step to confirm their relationship?" He asked earnestly.
"I don't really understand either. Try to ask my fist if it knows?" Hiratsuka-sensei teased.
"Please teach me. I want to learn martial arts from you, Teacher Hiratsuka," Yui said sincerely.
"No problem. I've always wanted to guide you," Hiratsuka-sensei replied with a smile.
After the strange and random conversation, the two stood up.
Akira struck poses he had seen in movies.
Hiratsuka-sensei smiled slightly, then stepped forward and grabbed his arm. Before he could react, Akira fell to the ground.
This confirmed that Hiratsuka-sensei truly knew martial arts and had both strength and skill.
"Do you still want to learn?" Hiratsuka-sensei asked, smiling down at him.
"Please, give me more advice," Akira said, standing up and refusing to be defeated by one failure.
Hiratsuka-sensei nodded with satisfaction.
Being able to beat Akira up early in the morning made her feel the whole day would be pleasant.
Over the next ten minutes, Akira was knocked down at least ten times, learning to dodge each strike.
"Okay, that's enough for today. Your foundation is too weak. Starting tomorrow, I'll teach you basic fighting skills," Hiratsuka-sensei said, observing him.
"Thank you, Sensei," Akira replied. Though he felt tired, it was clear that she wasn't using her full strength.
.....
Later—Back at Sakurasou,
Saki Kawasaki has already started preparing breakfast.
Akira went upstairs to wake Yui, helped her change into her Sobu High School uniform (he stays outside during that time), and brought her downstairs.
When Yui appeared, yawning, Hiratsuka-sensei stared at her instantly, as if trying to find something in her expression.
"...Sensei, Yui is just sleepy. It's not because she was too tired last night," Akira explained calmly.
"Akira-kun!!" Yui's face instantly turn bright red.
"As a life guidance teacher, I hope you don't get involved in that kind of thing too early. At this stage, your goal should be college. Do you understand?" Hiratsuka-sensei said seriously.
"I… I understand," Yui whispered, lowering her head.
Akira glanced at her and held her hand as Yui looked at him and grasped it tightly in return.
Hiratsuka-sensei saw this and realized her words had little effect. One action by Akira could be more effective than anything she said.
The question wasn't about Yui, but whether Akira wanted to.
If he want to do it, Yui would most likely not refuse him.
She glances at Akira, coldly, thinking about this.
But he ignored it.
.....
After breakfast, on the way to school, the three walked together.
Saki Kawasaki walked in front, and Akira walked behind, holding Yui's hand.
Yui looked at Saki Kawasaki and then glanced at Akira.
"What's wrong?" Akira asked, noticing her gaze.
"Akira-kun, will you… make excessive demands of Kawasaki-san?" Yui asked cautiously.
"Do you want the truth or a lie?" Akira replied after a pause.
"Of course the truth," Yui said, staring at him.
"No," Akira answered calmly.
"Huh?" Yui was stunned.
Akira didn't answer further and instead looked at Saki Kawasaki. Yui wanted to ask more but hesitated.
"I already have you and Yukino. If I added another girl, you might accept it, but Yukino-chan wouldn't. Even if I could convince her, it would still be unfair. Besides, Kawasaki-san doesn't like me. I can be irresponsible, but with Hiratsuka-sensei and the Kawasaki family here at Sakurasou, if I acted recklessly, it would leave us alone in the house, which has finally become lively."
"If the Kawasaki family moves away, their future would be more difficult. If Hiratsuka-sensei leaves, my kids will loses a good mentor. If Yukino-chan is upset, you'd be sad too, right?" Akira spoke carefully.
Hearing this, Yui smiled.
"Akira-kun is so gentle," she said.
(T/N: she either ignore the kid part or she knows it will happen so she didn't react to it)
"I'm not a protagonist in a romantic novel. I have to face reality," Akira said, watching cars pass by.
(T/N: No you are...)
"Akira-kun, is your gentleness because of me, Yukino, and Hiratsuka-sensei?" Yui asked.
"Maybe. I don't fully understand it either. Humans are complicated," Akira said, looking at the sky.
"Akira-kun, is this Chuunibyou?" Yui asked teasingly.
"Dummy, this is high school syndrome," Akira replied with a smile.
.....
On Tuesday morning, there was physical education class. It was unclear when the teacher had returned, so the period became free time.
Hayato Hayama walked toward Akira with a smile.
Akira didn't speak and headed for the tennis court. Many students gathered to watch, including the physical education teacher.
With, Hayama throwing a tennis ball at Akira with a serious expression, ready for their match.
