Chapter 96 - Chapter 96

Yukino her head away in embarrassment.

"Yukino's hands are so beautiful," Akira Fujimiya said, gently taking her soft hand.

Her face flushed crimson.

"Yukino, I'll wait for you," Akira said softly, before quickly planting a light kiss on her cheek before heading toward the bathroom.

Yukino stunned — watched him leave, her mind filling with a flood of images, as she place her hand on her cheek which was kiss by him, her eyes blurry. She stays in that position for sometime with a beautiful, shy smile on her face.

.....

After an hour—

In Yukinoshita Yukino's room, she had her back turned to Akira, who was holding her tightly.

At this moment, he had no other thoughts, only a sense of closeness and peace.

"Yukino, good night," Akira whispered.

"...Good night, you bad guy," Yukino replied, turning to lean into his embrace.

.....

Monday - Morning,

Before sunrise, Akira rose quietly, prepared breakfast with a note and then left Yukino's apartment.

Back at Sakurasou,

He began his morning exercise.

Shizuka Hiratsuka stepped outside of her room and immediately noticed him.

She snorted—

"Good morning, Hiratsuka-sensei," Akira greeted, as jogging past her.

Shizuka followed quietly.

As they reach the park—Shizuka's mood improved a little- after all, she could finally instruct (beat) Akira again.

But as soon as she started, she realized he had learned to dodge her attacks more effectively.

A shiver ran down her spine.

If I continue teaching like this, he wouldn't surpass me, right?

Shizuka quickly dismissed the thought.

With Akira's physique, he could only dodge and observe.

She had trained far longer than him—there was no way she could lose to this boy.

Determined, Shizuka used different strategies, forcing Akira to the ground again.

But it was worth it because Akira soon adapted to her new techniques.

.....

After breakfast, on the way to Sobu High School,

Akira walked with Saki Kawasaki.

She stopped observing him and looked straight ahead, lost in thought.

"I have two companies—one is an animation production company, the other a publishing house. I can arrange for you to follow the presidents and learn useful things. Which would you like?" Akira suddenly asked.

"....I want to hear your opinion, first," Saki replied after a short pause.

.....

At Sobu High School,

Akira sat in the classroom, looking out the window at the cherry blossom trees.

It was already the end of May; the blossoms had long since fallen, and the weather was warming. Because of the School location, the occasional sea breeze from the seaside made the days more comfortable.

Yet, Akira wasn't thinking about cherry blossoms—his thoughts were on Saki Kawasaki.

At first, he had helped her because she needed assistance and because she might become the heroine in the system-updated scenario.

Now, Saki's favorability toward him was over fifty percent, and it likely wouldn't reset.

Akira's intuition suggested the system wouldn't assign him such a simple objective, though he couldn't entirely rule out that possibility.

He shook his head, dismissing the unnecessary thoughts.

Saki wanted his guidance, which meant her next steps were his responsibility.

But he hesitated slightly.

Both Future Animation and Future Comics Publishing were important industries.

Which path Saki took would shape her future.

The president of Flash Animation would not change, so Saki would receive guidance from Sada Kana. Yet, to be frank, Sada Kana had limited experience to offer.

In contrast, Hanada Yui had served as Mrs. Yukinoshita's assistant and even led a branch company, proving her capability.

Akira glanced at Saki's back, making a quiet decision in his mind.

...

During lunch break,

On the way to the Ministry of Service, Akira and Saki walk a few step behind slightly.

"I suggest you go to Future Comics Publishing. The new president is very capable, and you can learn a lot from her," Akira said.

"I understand," Saki replied, her head bowed.

"After school, return to Sakurasou and I'll take you to the publishing house. From now on, you don't need to attend homework tutoring. Go directly after school and return before eight in the evening," he continued.

"Okay," she nodded.

Akira noticed her school uniform and realized it might not be suitable for the formal environment of a publishing house. While casual attire was acceptable at Flash Animation, a professional setting demanded a more appropriate appearance. He decided not to mention it yet, letting her handle the first day as it was.

Soon, they arrived at the Service Club.

While having lunch,

Akira observed Miura Yumiko across from him. Her favorability toward him had reached 60%—above friendship but not yet romantic. He could potentially push it higher over the next two days, but he refrained, not wanting to risk repeating past mistakes.

...

After lunch,

Akira arrived at the tennis court where Hikigaya Hachiman with Totsuka Saika had become regulars.

They will always present whenever they are in school.

Totsuka's eyes lit up at Akira's arrival, eager to see his progress.

While, Hikigaya handed him a tennis racket directly.

Akira did not disappoint Totsuka.

During their practice, he used the skills that he had copied from Yukinoshita Yukino's skill, impressing Totsuka Ayaka, who intensified his efforts in response.

After more than half an hour of high-intensity play, both were exhausted—

They sat on chairs, sweating while Hikigaya handed them two bottles of drinks.

Akira drank half of his in one gulp, while Saika sipped slowly, like a typical girl, causing Hikigaya to glance at him a few more times.

Observing that Akira gave him a knowing look, as the Hachiman face turn red noticing his expression, him eyes wandering trying to not look at him.

"By the way, when are you free, Fujimiya? Hachiman and I want to go out and play," Totsuka asked.

"Where to?" Akira inquired.

"That…" Totsuka glanced at Hikigaya.

"...."

Hikigaya stays silent—he rarely went out, never truly socialized outside school.

"How about this? I'll decide where we go, and you two can treat me to lunch," Akira suggested with a smile.

"No problem," Totsuka agreed.

"Make sure Komachi comes along. I'm curious about her," he added, as he look at Hachiman.

"You'd better stay away from Komachi," Hikigaya said bluntly, his expression serious.

"I wish I had a younger sister too," Akira smiled.

Totsuka opened her mouth, but said nothing.

...

As lunch break neared its end, Akira left the tennis court first. Hikigaya and Totsuka packed their things and followed toward the classroom.

On the way, Totsuka hesitated.

"Hachiman...do you know about Fujimiya?"

"What about him?" Hikigaya asked, confused.

"His parents… had an accident," Totsuka said quietly.

"....That's the first I've heard," Hikigaya replied, pausing.

"I found out about it by chance....So when Akira said he wanted a younger sister, he was probably telling the truth," Totsuka's eyes reflected complexity.

"I'm just saying… though he seems rough around the edges, he's a good person," Hikigaya remarked.

"I think so too. Even though many girls are around him, I've heard Teacher Hiratsuka say he tutors them."

"Is he… a top student?" Hachiman ask with a stange expression.

"Probably pretty good. The Service Club is led by Yukinoshita, and her grades are excellent. Akira has been guided by her for a long time," Totsuka said.

"Is he… the protagonist of some manga or anime?" Hikigaya murmured slowly.
