At a convenience store near the school,
Akira Fujimiya bought a notebook that he could easily carry with him and handed it to Nishimiya Shouko.
She was confused at first.
Before, she quickly realized that Akira wanted her to write down what she wanted to say.
This was indeed a very practical method.
It would also make shopping much more convenient.
After leaving the convenience store,
Akira used sign language to indicate where he wanted to go.
Nishimiya Shouko had originally planned to answer him in sign language, but then she thought of her notebook and quickly wrote her response instead.
Once she finished writing, she pushed the notebook toward Akira.
He glanced at it and wasn't surprised.

Inside the Library—
This was where Nishimiya Shouko wanted to go first.
She loved reading, and she immediately found several books in the library to read.
While, she was choosing a book for herself, she also picked one for Akira and wrote down the reasons for her recommendation.
Akira took the notebook from Shouko as he wrote down his reply.
(/I think I am going to focused on you while you read. Since, I like you more than the book/)
Nishimiya Shouko face instantly turned red.
She had never been confessed to before, or even thought anyone would confessed to her but she had read similar stories and imagine how good it would feel.
However, the confessions in those stories were subtle, nothing like Akira's straightforward words.
Thinking for a moment, Nishimiya Shouko wrote another sentence and pushed it across to Akira.
(\Thank you for your feelings, but I don't know you yet.\)
Akira considered it, then wrote back and pushed the notebook toward her.
(/My name is Akira Fujimiya. I'm Hiratsuka-sensei's student, who want to become your good friend, and also an admirer of Nishimiya Shouko/)
After reading this, Nishimiya Shouko lowered her head completely, not daring to meet his eyes as she hide her face but couldn't hide her red ears.
For a long time, she stayed silent, not making any noice.
Feeling that her reaction might have seemed rude, she raised her head and glanced at Akira.
He was holding the notebook, a sentence written clearly on it:
(/Don't worry, I won't hate you. I'll always like you. I look forward to the day you tell me you like me. Until then, I won't give up./)
Nishimiya Shouko felt her face grow warm, and she instinctively lowered her head. Again.
Akira reached out and patted her head, gently.
She froze for a moment, sensing the warmth of his palm, similar to Hiratsuka-sensei's gentle touch but also different.
One thing remain the same though—
It gave her a comforting feeling.

Inside the Library—
Whether at her previous home or her current one, Nishimiya Shouko was someone who always read her books quietly.
But today, despite the interesting books around her—that was given to her by Hiratsuka-sensei—she was a little absent-minded.
And she knew why.
Nishimiya Shouko raised her head and looked at Akira who was seating across from her.
He held a book in his hands, smiling softly. A warm, easygoing smile that made her feel calm.
He was also someone who loved books.
She could feel it.
The way Akira read, the way he turned the pages—it mirrored her own way.
Suddenly, Akira looked up at her.
Nishimiya Shouko quickly lowered her head and used the book to shield her face.
Seeing this, Akira looked at her, his expression soften as he put down the book. As he used signed—
(It seems you can't concentrate on reading with me around,)
Nishimiya Shouko's face flushed, and she attempted to hide behind the book. While secretly peeking at him.
(You are so cute)
Akira signed again.
Nishimiya Shouko's ears turned bright red.
Akira smile as he stood up.
(Let's go. We'll buy a few books you like, and took them to your place), he asked as he extend his hand.
She lowered her head and signed, (okay.) Before taking his hand.
His hand were warm.

After leaving the Sobu ground,
Akira hailed a taxi and arrived at the aquarium.
Maybe because it wasn't a weekend, the only people there were staff.
Akira took Nishimiya Shouko's hand and led her through the quiet corridors.
Upon reaching one exhibit,
Akira gesture her to look up, with a smile.
She tilted her head confused before she looked up.
Her eyes widen as she watched the fish swimming overhead.
It was a scene she had never seen before.
When, suddenly—
Akira hugged her gently.
Nishimiya Shouko froze and looked at him.
Akira didn't make any noise or signed, as he gently hold her.
Shouko was stunned at the sudden situation before she calm herself, as she looked at him, silently.
They both stare at each other. They stayed like that for sometime before Akira signed, ("Did you enjoy your time today").
She hesitated for a moment, then signed back, ("Yes, thank you.")
Akira smiled gently before lightly kissed her forehead.
Nishimiya Shouko's cheeks flushed, and she lowered her head. She didn't think this kind of situation would happen to her. And so suddenly with the person she just meet.
She didn't dislike his gesture....maybe because it wasn't forceful...or because she always wished someone would like her, kiss her, talk to her, this kind of situation never happen before...she didn't know what to do..or if it was right or not.
She just know one thing.
She want this kind of situation to happen more and more—
She thought as she shyly looked at Akira.
("Remember today's date. This is our first date, understand?") Akira signed.
She nodded.
Even without him saying (or signing) it, she knew she would remember this day forever.
.....
After exploring the aquarium,
Akira took Nishimiya Shouko's notebook, found a blank page at the back, and started drawing.
She watched him draw, and was quit surprised by his skill.
As her eyes widen as the drawing was near completion.
When he finished, she blushed again.
In the painting, the two figures were depicted kissing.
Akira looked up at her and gestured toward the painting.
Nishimiya Shouko quickly shook her head, flustered.
He approached her slowly.
She recalled the description in a book she had read and closed her eyes, as she unconsciously push her face forward.
However, Akira did not kiss her.
Confused, she opened her eyes, he was standing before her, smiling gently.
Nishimiya Shouko's face flushed once more, and she closed her eyes again,
When—
Kiss!
This time, Akira lightly kissed her cheek.
...
Upon leaving the aquarium,
Nishimiya Shouko was now holding Akira's hand.
Atfirst he had thought she was naive when she asked about it, but it suited her.
Simple, kind girls were more likely to believe in simple love and miracles.
He told her that the next stop was the amusement park.
Nishimiya Shouko quickly took out her phone and signed that she wanted him to take a photo for her to send to her family.
Akira nodded as he took the phone, and took a photo of only her, before taking another one — he snapped a selfie, with him smiling and Shouko flustered face in the background, before passing her the phone.
She blushed slightly.
...
They took the train, walking more than ten minutes before reaching the amusement park.
There were very few people, today.
Akira took her on some simple rides and snapped photos for her.
During a short break, she sent the photos to her sister.
While, Akira went to the vending machine, bought two drinks, and handed one to Nishimiya Shouko.
She politely signed, ("thank you.")
Akira shook his head and pointed at his own face.
She confused for a moment, then blushed as she realized what he meant.
He stepped closer.
Nishimiya Naoko hesitated again but then lightly kissed his cheek.
Akira sat down, satisfied.
She lowered her head, feeling very shy.
Seeing her dazed, he opened her drink and told her to drink quickly.
It feel sweet.
.....
Lunchtime.
Inside a Restaurant—
They sat in a restaurant near the amusement park.
Akira asked Shouko what she wants, before calling the waiter and placing the order.
While waiting for the food,
Nishimiya Shouko sent a message to her sister, keeping her updated about the day.
