Chapter 4 - Terminate it!!!

His voice broke, raw and jagged with anguish all while tears slid down his cheeks. "The five fools… they died because of me. I haven't even grieved them yet, and here I am again!

Edwards' anger faltered at the sight, his fury softening, sorrow creeping in where rage had been. He reached out hesitantly, his large hand closing around Orion's trembling fingers.

"If they hadn't tried to save me… maybe they'd still be alive," Orion choked out, the sobs tearing from his throat. "I watched that bastard kill them. I watched him set the whole building ablaze… even himself. He said if he couldn't have me, then no one else would."

Edwards stiffened, his brows knitting together. His voice dropped low, sharp with suspicion. "The bastard? Is he the one who got you pregnant? That bastard…"

Orion blinked at him in disbelief, his tears halting for a heartbeat as his brain scrambled to process the absurdity. What the actual fuck is this fool saying?

"Did you even hear me?!" His voice cracked with frustration, rising an octave, the pain in his chest changing into fury.

"They're all dead!" Orion yelled aloud, his panic spiraling out of his control. His chest heaved, each breath burning like fire. " And I don't remember getting pregnant with anyone's child!"

"Just shut the fuck up, Orion!" Edwards thundered, his own anger snapping back full force. He surged to his full height, his tall frame looming, casting Orion in his shadow. "Juat stop this stupid games. Are you deaf when I said you're playing with fire! Not just your own life, but mine too....anyone who's connected to you! Anyone who knows you're a guide but has chosen to keep it secret. That's me, Orion! Me!"

His hands shook as he gestured wildly, his composure crumbling. "And no matter what I say, no matter how I try to spin it, the government won't believe I know nothing. I'm a doctor, Orion. My profession itself betrays me. When they find out you're pregnant, we're both dead men!"

Edwards' voice cracked with a mixture of fury and desperation as he began to pace, his steps sharp. "We can't even terminate it! Do you hear me? We can't! Because you're a guide....a weak one at that. There's barely a difference between an F-rank and your pathetic E-rank. The only difference is that you can still bond with an esper permanently while an F-rank can't. That's it! You're too fragile to survive an abortion and too damned stubborn to realize it!"

This is just crazy, Orion thought bitterly, his heart hammering against his ribs. I've got this stupid Orion's memories, but they don't tell me who the baby's father is. None of it do!

His voice, when it came again, was hoarse, trembling, a blend of despair and defiance. "And why the hell are you saying it can't be terminated? You're a doctor, aren't you? Just do it. Terminate it. I don't care if it kills me!"

Edwards froze mid-step, his pacing halting. His head whipped toward Orion, shock stark and almost childlike on his face, his lips parting but no sound coming out.

Orion's fingers curled into fists in his lap, nails biting into his palms. Yeah, he thought darkly. If I die here, I'll go back. Back to my real world. Back to Earth. The universe must've made a mistake sending me here. I wasn't supposed to land in this place. But if I die now… maybe I'll finally wake up where I belong.

But to be honest, what kind of stupid mistake is this? Not only did I transmigrate into the wrong world, but I came saddled with someone else's damn baby in my belly!

"Terminate it!" Edwards roared, his face was flushed red, his jaw thight. His fists trembled at his sides, knuckles whitening as his voice rose to a snarl. "Just what the hell are you saying now?!"

Well… what does it matter anymore? Orion thought bitterly, his pulse hammering against his temples. I'm losing my sanity, and if I don't find a solution soon, I'll really go insane.

He bit down hard on his lower lip until he tasted blood. But I can't say that out loud, can I? Not to him. Not now.

Instead, he forced a smile, soft and disarming, a brittle mask over the storm inside him. His voice came out deceptively warm, almost coaxing. "Uhm… I mean, I'll survive the abortion, Edwards. You only need to give me a pill, after all."

Edwards stared at him for a long, taut moment. "I can see that you've finally gone crazy," he said harshly, his tone cold. He straightened to his full imposing height and heaved a heavy sigh that rattled the silence. "If you're not going to tell me who got you pregnant, then don't. But I believe it's time I start planning how to leave this pack before you implicate me. I am just a friend, Orion. Just a friend. But look at what you're going to use to repay my kindness with. Death?"

Orion blinked slowly, exhausted and unimpressed. He's being too dramatic now. For real.

But then Edwards' words echoed back....If the government finds out about your pregnancy , about you being a guide then not only you would die but those associated with you too.

That was insane. Terrifying. And yes… everyone was scared of death. Everyone except me. Yeah, Orion thought numbly, I really want to die. I'm not interested in living another world here, going through stupid dramas like the one I just left. I just want to return back to Earth. And I'll do everything to return back to it.

"Are you thinking about who got you pregnant?" Edwards' voice sliced through his spiraling thoughts, snapping him back to the room. His tone had shifted from fury to a sharp, clinical curiosity. "It can't be the Espers at the club. You're too frail for their sexual activities. If you had had sex with them, you'd have died. So I believe it's none of them. The person who got you pregnant is probably a low-level Esper, considering how you're still alive and walking around with a baby in your stomach."

"Huh?" Orion blinked at him, incredulous.

Like seriously? The baby daddy isn't one of the Espers from the club? Then who the hell is it? Just what kind of life did this Orion live before I got here? His temples throbbed with frustration. I need his sexual memories! His love memories! Anything!

He dragged his eyes back to Edwards, whose curious gaze still clung to him. I really can't think properly with this motherfucker around.

"I need to rest for tonight, Edwards," Orion finally said aloud, his voice flat and tired. "Can I think about all this shit tomorrow?"

I don't care about this world. I'll just consider it fake. If I disappear from here, then this world will disappear too. He swallowed hard, the motion loud in the tense silence.

He lowered his gaze to the floor, a single thought echoing louder than anything else. Yeah… I can as well just kill myself in the damn room. I'm not in for stupid dramas. The earlier I end it, the better.
