"Don't play dumb!" Sienna Thornton poked his chest, "Come on! What exactly did you say to your mom!"
"I didn't say much. I just told her to ask herself, back when she married my dad, was it because she was after his money? She immediately denied it, with red eyes, and said she truly loved him back then. Then I took the chance to ask her, if true love can happen to her, why couldn't it happen to you? Is my own son really that bad, being unable to attract a woman who genuinely loves him with anything other than money?"
Upon hearing this, Sienna nodded appreciatively: "And then?"
"Then she said she wouldn't oppose us anymore!"
