The long, boring class finally crawled to an end, and the sweet sound of the bell announced lunch break. The classroom instantly shifted from stiff silence to noisy chaos—desks scraped across the floor as students pushed them together, lunch boxes popped open, and the air filled with the smell of kimbap and fried snacks.
Some students rushed out to meet friends in other classes, while others stayed behind, laughing and trading bites from their lunch. The room buzzed with chatter, the kind that could make you forget the dull hours that had come before.
I stood up and walked over to Suwon's desk.
"Hey, Ji Suwon want to eat together?"
He blinked, clearly caught off guard by the sudden invitation.
"Uh… y-yeah, sure," he stammered, still sounding a little surprised.
Then he added, "But let me call the others first."
"Alright, let's go," I said with a nod.
Together we move across classroom stopping by others classroom and inviting them to eat with us.
School Cafeteria, In the bustling cafeteria, we grabbed our food and found an empty table to settle down.
As we started eating, I could feel the tension in the air, their glances flicking my way more often than not. Setting my chopsticks down for a moment, I broke the silence with a small smile.
"You guys don't have to be nervous around me. If anything, I should be the nervous one I'm the new guy here."
"Anyway, Ji Suwon," I said, noticing how he kept sneaking glances at his phone, "you've been checking that thing nonstop. Waiting for a message or what?" I asked casually, though I already had a pretty good idea of who was on his mind.
"Uh… i-it's nothing," Suwon muttered, face turning red like a ripe tomato.
Kim Inseop smirked. "Yeah, right. Suwon, don't tell me you're finally going to confess?"
Suwon scratched his cheek, grinning like an idiot. "Heh… maybe. I was actually thinking sometime this week."
"Oh, really?" I raised an eyebrow. "And what's your master plan?"
"I don't know… maybe I'll show her the drawing I made… or write her a letter? Honestly, I don't have a clue," he admitted, looking both excited and helpless.
Inseop snorted. "Please. As if that girl actually has a crush on you."
Suwon hesitated. "Um… m-maybe?"
That earned a round of laughter from the table, but Suwon quickly changed the subject. "Anyway, Inseop how did you confess to your girlfriend?"
"Me?" Inseop leaned back, suddenly smug. "Simple. Candlelight."
"Candlelight?" Suwon repeated, stunned. "And she actually liked that?"
"Of course," Inseop said proudly, puffing out his chest. "She could tell I was sincere."
"How about you, Seojin? You're handsome you probably already have a girlfriend, right?" Suwon asked, his eyes lighting up as if hoping for another option to copy.
I froze at the sudden question, caught off guard.
Memories from the original body flickered in my head girls confessing one after another, but not a single actual relationship.
"Me?" I finally said, still chewing on my food. "I don't have a girlfriend. Honestly, I have no idea how to confess. It's usually the other way around… girls are the ones confessing to me."
The table went quiet for a moment, while looking at me like I did some heinous crime.
"…Tch, show-off," Inseop muttered, rolling his eyes.
"Anyway, Suwon, you said she likes you, right? Then confessing shouldn't be an issue," Junhyun pointed out.
Suwon stared off into the distance, a dopey grin spreading across his face. "Yeah… candlelight's sound like a good idea," he said, as if he were already picturing the scene in his head
"Pfft…haha! Look at you, you're red as a ripe tomato!"
"Hehehe, come on, you guys… at least help me out a bit with this candlelight thing," Suwon said hopefully
"Ha! Careful, Suwon you might actually explode with how red you're getting!"
After that we go back to class and night comes looking at Suwon seated with Park Dong Suwon's face burned as he imagined himself in front of Harang, candlelight flickering, voice smooth and confident. His grin gave him away.
Panicked, Suwon tried to hide a folded note, but Park dong snatched it.
His secret sketch was revealed, and Park dong erupted in louder laughter. Red-faced, he lunged to grab it back, only to be teased with it just out of reach.
With a groan, he finally slumped onto the table while his friends cackled around him.
Laughter faded when Park dong lifted his head, as if remembering something, muttered, "Harang? Harangi."
The air thickened as Park Dong gaze hardened. "You don't use Cyworld?" he asked, his voice low and edged. Suwon shook his head. "I only use Bunny."
Park Dong stood up. "Follow me."
Suwon hesitated. "Why?"
Watching them leave, I couldn't help but chuckle faintly it looked like Suwon's heart was about to be broken.
After a few minutes they leave I decided to go to the bathroom I raised my hand muttering about going to the bathroom the teacher barely acknowledged me and just wave their hand.
Walking on the way to the bathroom opening the door I smell something unpleasant a cigarette smoke looking inside I see three students I know well Jung chulgyu, Yang jinsu, and Lee daegyu.
"Woooh damn, I thought it was a teacher. Nearly pissed myself," Daegyu exhaled in relief.
"You bastard, you scared the hell out of us," Jinsu snapped, flicking ash onto the tiles.
Daegyu smirked, tilting his chin at me. "Since you're already here, make yourself useful. Stand outside and keep watch for teachers."
I raised a brow"…Excuse me?"
"You heard him go outside and guard" Yang jinsu arrogantly said.
This fuckers really think im a pushover well might as well try what this body trained for. I smiled harmlessly then said "why don't you make me".
"Huhh this fucker are really looking for a beating" Jung Chulgyu cruckling his knuckles with a crooked grin then suddenly lunged at me.
When Chulgyu rushed at me, I didn't back away I stepped in closer. I grabbed his wrist, twisted my body, and used his own speed against him.
With a quick sweep of my leg, I tripped him off balance, then threw him straight over my hip.
He hit the hard bathroom floor with a loud thud. Before he could get up, I pushed my palm into his chest, knocking the air out of him in one blow. Chulgyu lay there, gasping, eyes wide in shock, while I stood over him without breaking a sweat.
Seeing Chulgyu on the floor, Lee Daegyu and Yang Jinsu froze, a cold sweat breaking out on their faces.
"H-how… how did he drop him in just a second?" Daegyu stammered, his voice trembling.
"We're screwed… I thought he was just some weak pretty boy," Jinsu muttered, his fear plain as his legs shook beneath him.
Looking down, I still couldn't believe it how smoothly it all flowed, like I'd been doing this for years.
I raised my head, eyes sharp, scanning the others. They were frozen, terrified scared shitless.
Without a word, I walked over to one of the cubicles, unbothered. Took a leak. Washed my hands at the sink.
Then, as I look at my reflection in the mirror, I spoke calmly, my voice low but clear.
"You better stop smoking if you see me coming, I hate the smell of it." I said with a harmless smile, eyes still on my reflection. "Or you'll end up just like him."
I adjusted my collar, still smiling.
"Understand?"
Silence.
No one moved. No one breathed too loud.
One guy gave a stiff nod. Another muttered "Yeah… yeah, got it," barely above a whisper.
Even the loudmouth from earlier avoided my eyes, suddenly very interested in the floor tiles.
Yeah… they understood. The door creaked open as I pushed it, letting the hallway light spill in.
While walking on the way back I hear something then looking ahead I can see the disciplinary teacher scolding some students seeing the one getting scolded by struck me like lightning my mind gone blank the only thing on my mind is her name Seol Hyorim knew she was beautiful but I didn't think she was gonna be so beautiful seeing the real one compare to the drawing really is a big difference.' Then she turned, and the world seemed to slow.
Tears shimmered on her cheeks, catching the light like fragile crystals. She brushed them away with trembling fingers, but it was too late the image was seared into me. Her sorrow only made her more radiant, and before I realized it, heat rushed to my face. I was blushing, powerless against the sight of her.
Our eyes met, holding for just a heartbeat. The moment was brief, yet it felt endless. Then, with a faint blush, I quickly looked ahead and forced my feet to keep moving. 'I... I'm in love!!!'.
I couldn't believe it. I was just checking my phone when he suddenly snatched it away. "How can he just take it without warning?" I muttered through shaky breaths, my voice breaking as tears spill on my eyes.
"That bastard's really taking his role too seriously," Kim Jinkyung said, resting a hand on my shoulder to comfort me.
While walking, I felt the weight of someone's gaze. Turning slightly, I saw him for the first time. He had sharp, clean features, the kind that carried a relaxed yet confident ease.
Handsome without trying, he drew attention effortlessly. His soft black hair, slightly wavy and styled in that messy way, framed deep brown eyes that seemed to read anyone they fell upon. Even in casual layers jackets, shirts, well-fitted jeans he stood out, impossible to ignore.
For a moment, I forgot to breathe. Heat crept up my cheeks before I could stop it, and I quickly looked away, pretending nothing had happened. But my heart knew better it was still racing from the sight of him. 'Who is he? ' The thought slipped out before I could stop it. I had never seen him before, yet somehow, it felt as if I should have.
