Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Talking Money Hurts Feelings—Just Transfer It to My Card

"What tickets?"

"I don't know either. The tickets are on my desk. I'll go get them for you."

Not long after, Hou Min handed an envelope to Li Xiang, and Sun Zhidong curiously leaned over, wanting to see what it was.

Not knowing why, Li Xiang opened the envelope and pulled out the tickets: "Extraordinary Fei? What's this?"

"Whoa! Seriously? Concert tickets for Fei Fei? I couldn't get them even after looking for two days."

Sun Zhidong snatched the tickets in disbelief.

Despite using all his connections, he couldn't get these tickets. He never expected that in Jinghai City, someone could casually give Li Xiang two concert tickets. How could he not be surprised?

"Oh? So the concert tickets you mentioned are for this?"

"Yeah~"

Only then did Li Xiang realize that the tickets Sun Zhidong wanted to buy last night were freely given to him. However, he wasn't really into concerts. And they gave him two; he didn't even have a girlfriend. Who would he take?

"Want them?"

"Bro, help me out. I'll buy them from you!"

Sun Zhidong had confidently promised his girlfriend that tickets to this small singer's concert would be easy to get for him.

Who would have thought? Even with scalpers and increased prices, he couldn't get them.

"We're all brothers here. Talking money hurts feelings. Just transfer to my card."

Li Xiang didn't hold back. Seeing a chance to make a buck, he seized it. This amount of money didn't mean much to him.

Everyone satisfied their needs.

"Good brother!"

Sun Zhidong kissed the tickets and quickly took out his phone to take a picture and send it to his girlfriend: "Honey, look what I got!"

Seeing Sun Zhidong acting like a simping fool, Li Xiang felt disdainful. He thought that if he had a girlfriend in the future, he would never act this way.

After sitting in the office for a while, Li Xiang's phone chimed with a message. When he picked it up, Sun Zhidong had transferred him six thousand yuan.

"Man, the world of the rich is beyond me."

He would never spend six thousand yuan to buy two tickets.

That was equivalent to two months of his salary.

In the afternoon, as usual, Li Xiang volunteered for the Times Square duty. It was the only game task he could actively take on. The rewards were minimal, but little by little, they add up.

[Task Name: Security Duty]

...

After standing for four hours, Li Xiang's hands and feet felt frozen, but finally, the task was over.

[Task Reward: Experience +50, Diamonds +100]

He could play the dungeon extra once tonight, bringing him a step closer to master-level stealing skill.

After work, Li Xiang went back to the hotpot place where he had eaten the night before. He had left his meal halfway to catch a thief and forgot to pay.

Tonight was the perfect time to settle the bill.

"Boss lady, I'd like the old pot base. I didn't pay for yesterday's bill, so I'll pay both today."

"No problem. Did you catch the thief from yesterday?"

Upon seeing Li Xiang, the boss lady asked about the thief from yesterday with concern.

"Of course, we caught him. The owner even gave me a banner today."

"Oh, really? That girl was nice and pretty. I remember you're single too, maybe you could..."

"Uh, no, we belong to different worlds."

Li Xiang waved his hands repeatedly. Initially, he wasn't interested in her, but his impression improved because she sent him a banner.

Someone who can casually give away tickets worth six thousand yuan isn't someone he can approach, at least not now.

He's focused on his career. Women would only slow down his progress in the dungeon.

"How do you know it won't work if you don't try? Didn't her phone get stolen last night? When she was checking out, I purposely put the bill on your tab to make her owe you a meal. Didn't she say she'd treat you afterward?"

"What?"

Li Xiang was startled. No wonder she asked him out to eat last night.

"That's all I can do to help you. You have to work hard!"

The boss lady's words left Li Xiang embarrassed, so he feigned laughter while eating hotpot quickly, wanting to escape the gossip as soon as possible.

-----------------

January 15th, 7:00 PM, and it happened to be the weekend. Jinghai City Sports Arena was packed with people.

Tonight was the concert of the popular singer Lin Feifei. According to the media, not only would Feifei perform her latest single for the first time, but there would also be a surprise guest appearance.

Fans from Jinghai City and surrounding areas had been queuing at the entrance for a long time, waiting for ticket checks by the staff.

"I didn't know our Fei fans were so many. Honey, you're amazing. I heard from my besties that Feifei's concert tickets are hard to get. They're so jealous when they see I have tickets."

Hearing his girlfriend Xiaomei's praise, Sun Zhidong looked smug: "Of course, look at who I am. Getting two tickets in Jinghai City is like child's play for me."

Driving to the arena and seeing the crowded scene, he truly felt the star power.

The place was so packed that parking was difficult. It took him a great effort to find a spot, and he almost lost it to someone else.

Thankfully, he had those two tickets from Li Xiang. Otherwise, his boasting would have been in vain.

He never expected these concert tickets to be this popular.

Could it be that the entertainment scene in Jinghai City was lacking? Was it that rare for a star to hold a concert, drawing everyone in?

Sun Zhidong led Xiaomei to the arena entrance, finding it equally crowded with dedicated fans wearing support shirts, carrying large posters and glow sticks, forming long lines.

Nearby, some fan clubs were handing out glow sticks.

When the concert doors finally opened, the crowd flowed in like a tide breaching a dam, quickly filling the venue with security personnel checking each ticket and ID at the entrance.

Inside, they located their seats based on the ticket numbers.

"Wow, our seats are in the best view area!"

Finding their seats, Sun Zhidong's girlfriend jumped with joy, surprised that her boyfriend could get such great seats.

The view was excellent, just slightly off from the stage but still providing a clear view of it, unlike those in the back who had to rely on large screens for a live view of the stage.

Being this close to her idol for the first time, Xiaomei was thrilled. Originally, she mentioned it to her boyfriend just as wishful thinking. She hadn't expected him to take it so seriously. Regular seats were hard to get, let alone seats with such a good view, which clearly required effort.

Thinking about it, she gave Sun Zhidong a big kiss on the cheek: "Thank you, hubby. You're the best."

Worth it~

Sun Zhidong felt overjoyed, an unexpected delight. Who knew that market-priced tickets would end up in such a prime location, making it all worthwhile for him.
