The ground trembled as a huge creature emerged from the shadows. Its body was covered in matted white fur streaked with dried blood. Sharp fangs jutted from its mouth, and its roar rattled Yuzen's bones as its black eyes fixed on him.
Pain burned along his right arm, fresh and throbbing from the last fight. Warm blood slid down to his wrist, and his fingers felt weak and numb.
Another holographic window hovered above his watch.

"What the f********ck?!!! Why does the previous mod lead to such sh*tty situation?! F*ck the system!"
His hands shook as he tapped the window.

"OBVIOUSLY NOT THE FIRST ONE!!"
Yuzen pushed violently against the second option, his finger trembling with rage.
The creature roared again and charged forward. The wind from its speed slammed into Yuzen, forcing him to squeeze his eyes shut.
A series of sharp swooshing sounds whipped past his face, tugging at his clothes. He could feel something moving around him with incredible speed.
Yuzen forced his eyes open.
A silver-haired woman stood before him, holding two gleaming swords. Her hair streamed down her back and over her chest, strands shifting as she moved. Her face was sharp and striking, her eyes locked on the beast with cold eyes.
She wore a tactical black-ops outfit — a fitted top with a short reinforced skirt, stockings running down her legs, and boots planted firmly against the cracked ground.
Before Yuzen could blink, she vanished. A blur of steel cut across the air, and one of her blades bit into the monster's arm, spraying blood. She twisted, and her second sword slashed across its chest.
The beast staggered back, bellowing in pain, but she pressed forward without pause. Her movements were a blur of motion too fast for Yuzen to follow.
A claw swung down to crush her, but she ducked under the attack, rolled, and sprang up to drive both swords deep into its ribs. The creature reeled sideways from the force of the blow.
Her blades never stopped. Every movement flowed into the next in a constant flurry of attacks. The monster's roars broke into short, pained grunts as its body was covered in deep cuts, and dark blood spilled down its white fur.
She leapt high into the air with her silver hair streaming behind her and crossed her blades in a final strike that sliced clean through the monster's throat. The creature's roar cut off instantly.
Its massive body toppled backward and slammed into the ground, and the impact shook the earth beneath Yuzen's feet. Steam rose from the deep cuts across its chest and neck.
Yuzen stood frozen while his chest tightened and his breath came in short, shallow bursts.
The woman landed lightly on her feet, and her twin blades dripped with red blood. She stepped forward and fixed her eyes on Yuzen with a cold, hard stare.
"You."
Her voice was sharp and unyielding.
"Who the heck are you? What did you do to Jaein?"
Yuzen's lips parted, but no words came out.
The system had saved him from the beast, but staring into her eyes, Yuzen wasn't sure if it had really saved him at all.
"I—I saved him!"
Her expression didn't shift, and Yuzen knew she didn't believe a word of it. The point of one sword lifted until its cold tip pressed lightly against Yuzen's neck.
"I'll ask once again. Who are you?"
His throat tightened while the cold blade remained pressed against his skin.
His watch suddenly buzzed, and a new holographic window hovered above it. Lines of text scrolled upward on their own as comments raced by too fast to stop.

Yuzen took in a sharp breath as the glowing messages kept rushing upward. He stood frozen with every muscle stiff while the sword's tip still grazed his throat.
The silver-haired woman didn't even glance at the display and acted as if it wasn't there at all. Her cold, steady eyes stayed fixed on him, and she waited for an answer that he did not have.
"I—I…"
A groan came from behind him. Yuzen didn't dare move his head with the blade still grazing his neck. Thankfully, the woman's attention snapped away from him, and her sword slid back into its sheath as she rushed past him.
"Jaein!"
Yuzen turned slightly. The woman knelt beside the wounded man, pulling him up to sit against her arm.
"Here, take the potion."
Jaein swatted her hand aside, and the vial slipped from her grip to the ground. He groaned and pressed one palm against his temple. After a long pause, his eyes flicked forward and he squinted as if he were trying to focus on something in front of him.
Yuzen froze in place.
Did he… did he recognize me?
"The God of this world… wanted to make a connection?"
The silver-haired woman frowned at him.
"Do you get that kind of notification too?"
Yuzen looked confused as he didn't know how he should answer it, but it turns out Jaein was asking the silver-haired woman about it.
"God? No, what are you talking about?"
[Notification to Channel Owner: Your MC has accepted the connection! From now on you can communicate directly with your MC through the special Chatroom!]
Yuzen's stomach dropped.
N-no… no, no, no! Why the f*ck would I want to chat with the guy whose life I destroyed?! Why is the system keep f*cking with me?!!!
Yuzen forced his injured right arm upward, pain stabbing through his shoulder. His trembling palm pressed hard against the watch on his left wrist, and the holographic projection vanished instantly.
The buzzing didn't stop, rattling against his skin, and faint light still leaked out from under his hand.
Against his will, he cracked his fingers open just enough to glance down at the watch screen itself.
[Hello?]
[Are you really God?]
[Really?]
[Is there anyone here?]
Yuzen's hand trembled. He lowered his gaze. When he looked up again, the silver-haired woman was staring at him coldly.
"Jaein, do you know this guy? He said he saved you."
The wounded man blinked and his eyes widened when they landed on Yuzen, as if he were only just now seeing him there.
"Who are you?"
Yuzen's throat felt completely dry. He wanted to answer, but the truth was a hard lump that was jammed in his chest.
Hi, nice to meet you. I'm your god, the idiot who accidentally changed your slice-of-life world into an apocalyptic one.
There was no way he could say that.
"I am…"
