Chapter 88 - Chapter 88: Can’t Breathe

The battlefield, once roaring with chaos, froze in dread. Even the wind seemed to halt, as though the world itself feared the serpent that had finally revealed its fangs.

Darok's eyes locked on his little brother lying broken on the ground. Something inside him snapped. His presence shifted—burning hot, rage spilling off him like heat from a furnace.

With a roar, Darok lunged forward, fist tearing upward in a vicious uppercut.

Gabi Maru (coldly): "Useless. Trash."

A slip. A whisper of movement. Darok's strike hit nothing but air.

He spun, driving a roundhouse kick with everything he had.

Darok (enraged): "I won't let you get away with this—!"

Gabi Maru rolled under the kick with snake-like ease.

Gabi Maru: "Don't bother."

His fist flickered like a viper striking.

A devastating, precise hook drilled into Darok's throat.

Pain exploded down Darok's neck, white-hot. His breath caught, panic rising like a wave.

Darok (choking): "I… can't… breathe…"

In three seconds, he collapsed to the ground, his body unmoving.

Gabi Maru (quietly): "Told you."

Kael's eyes went wide. Sweat dripped down his face. His hands trembled as he staggered back.

Kael (panicked): "H-He's here for me… I'm done… he'll kill me… I failed…"
