Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Target A01712

Scanning through the hot posts, the first post at the top caught Su Changxing's attention.

Empty space: Just moments ago, a group of people started clearing rooms level by level. I thought they came to rescue us and was about to shout for help, but saw them push someone off the building, killing them.

The scream still makes me tremble.

I risk my life to warn everyone, there's a gang killing others to rob supplies. They are organized, be very careful, they are inhumane.

I detest their actions, I want to expose them, even if it costs my life.

A video stands as proof.

In the video, several shadows push a person off a building. The floor wasn't high enough to kill, but the person was torn apart by a large number of zombies below.

There were tens of thousands of replies below, all fiercely condemning those who committed the act.

Reply 1: This is too brutal; on the first day of the apocalypse, they band together to rob others' supplies and kill people.

Reply 2: Are these individuals murderers released from prison?

Reply 3: Stand by the OP, protect yourself OP, I suggest you find a new hiding place. The video might reveal your location.

Reply 4: I'm kind of scared now, it's not just zombies, but people who go lawless once out of a lawful society.

Su Changxing frowned, knowing these people killed just to plunder points. He had anticipated that people would kill for points, but not so soon.

Moreover, he guessed that this was likely the work of that mysterious organization; this style was identical. They had realized the importance of points and started aggressively collecting them.

Su Changxing pondered for a while and decided to leave this area by tomorrow morning, heading westward. There was no need to clash head-on with this organization.

In just over ten minutes, Su Changxing sold out all the items in the post again, gaining 1900 points.

[Total Points: 4508]

"So much, points can be easy to get and hard to get at the same time."

Su Changxing sighed, after his operations, points had ballooned to over four thousand in under half an hour.

This massive amount of points was enough for him to empty out the rare resources from several mysterious shops.

Time, 2:34.

After eating half a loaf of bread to replenish some energy, Su Changxing stepped out with the steel saber once more. This was his third time leaving this room tonight, only now he felt more confident than before.

According to his plan, the A0172 Mysterious Shop should be between A0171 and A0173, so finding it shouldn't be difficult.

Based on his intuition, A0172 should be on the perpendicular bisector connecting A0173 and A0171.

Just like stacking blocks, there's always an orderly way to place them, and with so many mysterious shops, it's unlikely they would be placed completely randomly.

The three might even form an equilateral triangle, and Su Changxing needed to determine if the angle was at the top or bottom.

A loud noise came from above, and the zombies would head upward, making it likely that the Mysterious Shop was below, so Su Changxing chose to move down the perpendicular bisector.

Stepping out of the stairway, Su Changxing keenly noticed that there were more zombies on the street.

It seemed these zombies would consciously fill more open areas.

After taking a few steps forward, Su Changxing noticed three zombies wandering aimlessly on his path forward.

Without thinking of avoiding them, he charged with the steel saber. In the moment the first zombie reacted, with incredible speed, he sliced off half of its skull.

As blood splattered, the remaining two zombies charged, he sidestepped back and with a backhand slash took down the one on the left, then kicked the other down, following up with another slash.

He easily dealt with the three zombies, but Su Changxing frowned, noticing something felt off, it was more laborious.

An hour ago, it was noticeably easier to kill a zombie, as if the zombies' flesh and bones had hardened.

These zombies had become stronger!!

Su Changxing reached the shocking conclusion that these zombies were visibly becoming stronger. Perhaps after one or two hours it wasn't noticeable, but after a day, two days, or even ten days?

On the other hand, the vast majority of humans were still stuck at the same level.

Running along the edge of the sidewalk, Su Changxing jogged forward, as the number of zombies on this street wasn't too high, he could handle it while moving and killing along the way.

Reaching the street corner, he had killed nearly seventeen zombies, and the blade of the steel saber was slightly nicked, with a small chip at the seven-inch mark, but it wasn't affecting its use for now.

Turning the corner to the next street, he found the number of zombies had abruptly multiplied several times. Clearly, not many zombies here had been drawn away by the loud noise.

"This is troublesome, if I keep killing my way through, I'm afraid I won't make it to the destination before exhausting myself."

Climbing onto the roof of a bus to survey the situation ahead, during the day the perception of these zombies would be greatly reduced and he might be able to make it through, but at night it was very difficult.

One could even say it's impossible.

The zombies react in a chain; once one notices you, the surrounding zombies will also react. This is also the principle by which loud noises can draw away large numbers of zombies.

"So I have to change my approach."

After some thought, Su Changxing made a daring decision, preparing to charge straight through.

This was a very dangerous move; if he encountered a dense horde of zombies and had to stop while being pursued by zombies from behind, he would be trapped and surrounded.

That said, he was a man with top-level climbing skills, in this urban environment, he wasn't afraid of being surrounded by zombies.

"Yeah, what am I afraid of, there's nothing for me to fear, I can outrun zombies and climb."

Su Changxing suddenly realized he had been too timid. As long as he was careful, he was theoretically in an invincible state.

With this in mind, he initiated his risky plan, jumping off the bus to run forward, nimbly dodging the incoming zombies.

As he continued forward, more and more zombies were drawn to follow him, the more that followed, the more zombies were attracted.

After more than ten minutes, reaching the other end of the street, his mindset changed.

Looking back, Su Changxing saw nothing but a densely packed horde of zombies. The growls became a cacophony, and the next moment it felt like he would be devoured by them.

This massive swarm of zombies placed immense psychological pressure on him, but Su Changxing forced himself to stay calm, keep a steady pace, and avoid the zombies coming at him.

The feeling of walking on a knife-edge sent his adrenaline soaring, and without realizing it, his steps quickened.

The chaotic growls erupted along the long street, waking up some people sleeping inside rooms.

A chubby man poked his head out of a window from the nearby building, witnessing an incredible sight. A young man with a backpack and wielding a steel saber was running on the street with hordes of zombies filling it behind him.
