"Clap, clap, clap!"
Yang Wen applauded while saying, "Not bad, not bad. You've passed the audition."
Tong Yan pushed Bo Yimo away, wiped her tears, and smiled, "Thank you."
She wasn't surprised by this outcome at all; in fact, it was expected. After all, in her previous life, she had been a best actress. The only surprise was that Bo Yimo would actively join her in the scene.
"In a few days, we'll go to your company to discuss the next steps. Our film will start shooting in two and a half months. I'm the chief director, and your character is named Jiang Caiju. Here's the script, take it home and have a look. Call me anytime if you have questions."
Tong Yan pondered for a moment, "I'm not sure if Fengyun signs artists. My contract with the agency expires in two months. Although I currently don't have much fame, you just saw my acting skills and how accurately I grasped the role. I have that confidence. I think Fengyun signing me wouldn't be a loss."
As Tong Yan spoke, her almond-shaped eyes were bright and her brows soft, exuding energy and confidence, radiating brilliance.
The air fell into a peculiar silence. After a while, Yang Wen smiled, "Quite a good plan you have."
Tong Yan responded thick-skinned, "We each have our plans."
She understood what Yang Wen meant. She didn't have much fame now. Since Fengyun had its first round of investments to make films, there would be a second and third. Currently, Fengyun was seen as just a small studio. If signed, she'd be the only artist under the name, naturally leading to future casting in their films. Despite being an artist, she hadn't had any good work in the past three years and wasn't known at all.
"How about this, we'll see how this movie performs and make a decision then." Although Yang Wen had a good impression of Tong Yan, it wasn't enough to sign her on the spot without hesitation.
Tong Yan understood and nodded, "As for the payment, you can talk to me directly. We can sign follow-up agreements after my contract with the company expires."
Actually, she was asking for a lot. For an artist without any fame and no works in three years, getting a role with screen time was already quite good. The entertainment circle is ruthlessly realistic, where the high are supported and the low are trampled. However, having a presence and confidence is how one can negotiate for more benefits.
"Alright," Yang Wen agreed.
After the conversation ended, Tong Yan took the thick script and left Fengyun Studio.
As soon as Tong Yan exited the World Trade Building, she immediately called Yin Weiyi, "Let's go, let's have a feast, my treat."
Yin Weiyi asked over the phone, "What makes you so happy?"
Although Yiyi couldn't see her, Tong Yan still waved the script in her hand, "I'm going to shoot a movie!"
Yin Weiyi screamed on the other end, "Big chest, big chest, future big star, give me your autograph, I'm going to use it to get rich!"
Tong Yan was amused by her, "Alright, alright, stop teasing. I'll wait for you at the Four-Leaf Clover. By the way, I'll invite Su Chenxi too; it's just the weekend for him."
Yin Weiyi kept chattering nonstop. Tong Yan couldn't take it and directly hung up the phone. She then called Su Chenxi to tell him the news. Although Su Chenxi wasn't as loud as Yiyi, the joy was still beyond words.
"Yanyan, the company is letting you shoot a movie?"
What a small world.
Fate loves to joke around. Whenever you don't want to run into someone, you always do.
Hearing this voice, Tong Yan instinctively felt annoyed. Turning around, she saw Qin Yikuo standing there, his features bright. Perhaps he hadn't been doing well recently; there was a trace of melancholy.
Qin Yikuo's eyes were profound, his brows slightly tilted upwards, and his smile somewhat alluring. His features were relatively gentle, with sharp brows adding a touch of hardness, soft mixed with strong, therefore, he was always styled as a 'warm man' by the company.
Tong Yan's smile didn't reach her eyes, "Don't you already know my situation? Aren't you deliberately giving me trouble?" She didn't know how much he heard, but she would never admit it. Fortunately, she had put the script away just after chatting with Yiyi.
Qin Yikuo glanced at the bulging bag in her hand, "Maybe I heard wrong."
Tong Yan stood there and looked at her indifferently.
Qin Yikuo suddenly felt a bit embarrassed. After the last incident, Yanyan hadn't called him; she used to call him several times a day. Could it be? "Yanyan, I really wasn't involved in the last incident, you have to believe me."
"I believe you." Of course, she believed him because she orchestrated it.
