Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: One Month Is Too Long

Even though he knew she would still continue to deceive him and look for a chance to leave him, at that moment when she swore on her life, he still agreed to her request.

At that moment, even he didn't quite understand himself.

This feeling, like suddenly having a vulnerable spot, made him... feel very unfamiliar and uncomfortable.

He always thought she was the only woman who didn't disgust him, so on her eighteenth birthday, he was eager to confirm it and kissed her in the bathroom.

After Noah Drexler finished speaking, Summer Shawcross was stunned for a moment. Thinking of what she had done to him in the past, she couldn't help but feel guilty.

In her past life, apart from familial love, all the emotions she felt were false.

But he... never even bothered to say a kind word to her, yet... he had always been tolerant and protective of her.

At this moment, she was more certain that Noah Drexler was the most worthy man to love in her otherwise terrible life.

Just when she looked up at Noah Drexler, intending to make a firm promise, his unrelenting voice suddenly resonated inside the car.

"You're grounded for a month."

She was stunned, and the guilt she felt for him instantly dissipated, replaced by a strong feeling of discontent!

"Why?" She widened her eyes, looking at him with displeasure.

Indeed, even if things started over, this man was still the same... tyrannical and annoying!

"Drugging, escaping marriage, being in headlines with scandals, aren't these reasons enough?" Noah Drexler raised an eyebrow, questioning her back.

Any one of these reasons would have been enough to ground her for three months, he had already been lenient.

Once again, his words left Summer Shawcross speechless, but she still felt somewhat unwilling.

"No, that's too long... How about three days?" She bit her lip and suggested.

The man cast a casual glance at her, then moved his lips, cruelly rejecting her, "No way!"

"..." Seeing his resolute stance, Summer Shawcross could only sigh helplessly.

Before long, the car returned to The Hillside Villa in Narsus City.

As soon as Summer Shawcross got out of the car with Noah Drexler, Simon Morgan received a phone call, then walked over to Noah Drexler and whispered something, and the two went to the study.

Summer Shawcross turned and went upstairs.

When Noah Drexler finished handling the matters and returned to the room, he heard some noises coming from the bathroom.

Out of instinctive vigilance, he frowned and walked over to the bathroom door of the room.

As his gaze swept over the pair of pink slippers at the bathroom door, the coldness in his dark eyes faded, replaced by a hint of surprise.

They had always rested in separate rooms.

At this moment, the bathroom door was suddenly pushed open.

Summer Shawcross, having just finished blow-drying her hair and wearing a camisole nightdress, came out while smoothing her long hair.

When she saw Noah Drexler standing at the door with a serious expression, she wasn't surprised at all.

"Are you done with work?" She blinked and asked him.

This was Noah Drexler's room. In her past life, although she had married him, she never shared a room with him.

One reason was that she didn't want to sleep in the same room with him, and the other reason... was because of Noah Drexler himself.

According to the butler, it was because he couldn't stand any noise while sleeping and didn't like anyone being around.
