"Teacher!"
Qi Xian entered the courtyard excitedly holding two sunflowers, ready to share them with his teacher. But when he looked up, neither the teacher nor Liu Ji was there.
Only Second Lang and Si Niang had returned from school and were at home reviewing their lessons.
Qi Xian's excitement faded, and he glanced around but didn't find any sign of his teacher. He wondered if perhaps the teacher had gone to the toilet.
Qin Yao followed him inside and placed an abacus in the main hall. She glanced at the kitchen where Ah Wang was preparing dinner while being guided by two Qi Family maids on the family's taste preferences.
It was fortunate that Ah Wang was good-tempered and complied with everything without complaint, thinking it didn't matter as he wasn't going to eat it.
"Where are they?" Qin Yao softly asked Second Lang and Si Niang by the children's room window.
