Rob sat inside the battle armor, sweating profusely as he watched the increasingly powerful monster opposite.
His face was deathly pale, his eyes tightly closed, as if trapped in some kind of torment.
"Rob..."
"My child, come here quickly."
Rob shook his head painfully: "No... don't..."
"What? Are you going to defy your mother's orders?" The middle-aged woman, still charming, glared at him gloomily.
Rob was frightened by this look and instinctively submitted.
But he didn't want to go over; he had just escaped from that manor and didn't want to return.
He cried, pleading with his mother, "Can't you just not send me back? I don't want to stay at Uncle Leon's; he's terrifying!"
His mother impatiently interrupted him: "Nonsense, Uncle Leon loves you so much, how could he hurt you? He's just playing games with little Rob."
She calmly approached, pulling Rob up, lovingly brushing aside the messy bangs on his forehead to reveal his beautiful, delicate face.
