Chapter 116 - Is This… a Soul Bone?

"Why did it take you so long to act?"

"It hurts so much~" Ning Rongrong bit her lip, rubbing her sore backside as Zhu Zhuqing helped her to her feet.

Those plaintive, sorrowful eyes looking at Wukong sent waves through his heart.

It was almost as if she were saying, "You have to take responsibility for me~"

Absolutely deadly.

"Come on! You're a support-type soul master; it's already wrong for you to charge in."

A support-type soul master going head-on—whatever the reason—do you think you're some overpowered crossover with a support-type Martial Soul capable of blasting a mountain?

Not happening.

"Of course, I appreciate you helping Zhu Qing, don't get me wrong. But… do you think I can't tell what that expression on your face really means?" Wukong felt touched by Ning Rongrong's gesture—it wasn't in vain that he had paid attention to her aura.

Still, that expression… so blatant, so provocatively obvious!

"Good thing I'm here. If I were still fishing by the river, you'd have gotten smacked by my tail today…" Wukong shook his head, scolding her with exasperation.

"I…" Ning Rongrong was momentarily speechless.

Indeed, she'd gotten a little carried away. This was training, not play; just because someone was there to protect her didn't mean she could be careless.

"Alright, alright. Rongrong was just a little anxious to help. Don't scold her so much," Zhu Zhuqing quickly stepped in.

In the end, Zhu Zhuqing was kindhearted, never able to watch someone get lectured for long. In the original story, she would have intervened, and now was no different.

"Fine, she's still too young to be that serious…" Wukong sighed. But seeing the two learn to argue and help each other, progress was quick.

Ning Rongrong would help Zhu Zhuqing, and Zhu Zhuqing would defend Ning Rongrong. Even if this wasn't ideal for cultivation, it achieved something more important.

At least they would support each other. Whatever the reason, reaching this point was already impressive.

Their synchronization for fusion techniques wouldn't be a problem either. Even if there were issues, they could practice the moves. The only real difficulty was their auras—they wouldn't perfectly align, and they didn't even know how to adjust them, which was tricky.

"Hey! What's that?" Wukong's gaze flicked to where the corpse of the Blazing Tiger lay.

He spotted a shiny, bright-red object, long and glimmering.

It looked like armor, though slightly different from normal armor.

Wukong stepped forward, using his aura to sweep away the dust, and brought the bright-red object over from the Blazing Tiger's corpse.

The key moment was holding it in his hand.

"Did you find something?" Zhu Zhuqing asked, supporting Ning Rongrong as she followed Wukong.

"This…" Wukong felt awkward staring at it, unsure what to say about the object.

"Could it be a Soul Bone?" Ning Rongrong's dust-covered little face lit up with excitement as she asked.

"It's definitely a Soul Bone, but this one is a bit…"

Wukong felt embarrassed. Should he show it to them? Or not?

Could it cause problems?

"If it's a Soul Bone, that's a good thing! Let us see it!" Ning Rongrong was barely able to wait.

"I want to see it too…" Zhu Zhuqing pursed her lips. Even with her higher status at home, she'd never seen a Soul Bone.

"Come on!" Ning Rongrong saw Wukong hesitate and nudged his back.

Even at the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect, Ning Rongrong had never seen a Soul Bone—only heard of them.

Otherwise, as the heir of a sect master, do you think they wouldn't have arranged a Soul Bone for her?

Absorbing a Soul Bone had no level restriction; even below level ten, she could have absorbed it. If the sect had extras, why wouldn't they have given one to her sooner? It could enhance power and self-protection.

Given how much Ning Fengzhi doted on Ning Rongrong, the only reason she didn't get a Soul Bone earlier was because none were available.

Wukong couldn't refuse. With both of them asking, not showing it would be wrong.

He clenched the Soul Bone and, without further hesitation, placed it in front of them.

At that moment, a classic scene unfolded in the forest: a man handing a long, unidentified object to two girls.

"Hehe~" Wukong's mouth twitched, smiling awkwardly.

Not my fault—they wanted to see it.

At first, Zhu Zhuqing didn't register what it was, but as she took in the full shape, her face turned crimson. Disgusted, she spat lightly at Wukong.

"Ew, that's disgusting!"

"You did it when it was just the two of us, fine. But Rongrong's here too, and you—" Zhu Zhuqing stepped forward and twisted Wukong's hand.

Wukong grimaced in pain.

"You're gross! Making us, two girls, look at this… Kongo, I'm ashamed of you!" Ning Rongrong quickly covered her eyes, unable to bear it.

Wukong blinked. "???"

"You two wanted to see it yourselves. Don't blame me," he said, exasperated.

"You wanted to see it, don't blame me for it! I'm just a fragile little monkey here!"

"Well… then couldn't you have refused? Or said this isn't suitable for us to see?" Ning Rongrong blushed, her hands still covering her eyes.

"Exactly!"

Unexpectedly, Zhu Zhuqing followed suit.

"Ah, no…" Wukong felt speechless.

Girls just have the right to be capricious—a passive skill, apparently…

"When it comes to this Soul Bone, who wants it? My Saiyan bloodline doesn't need Soul Bones," Wukong said calmly.

The Saiyan bloodline really didn't need it. After fusing the right-arm Soul Bone last time, he felt his Saiyan lineage was slightly impure—though strength wasn't affected, it felt a little off.

Next time he met Ye Lingling, he'd have that Soul Bone removed and treated by the Nine Hearts Begonia.

"So, hehe~" Wukong looked at the two girls. He didn't need the Soul Bone himself.

Though the Soul Bone wasn't suitable for girls, it was very suited for males.

"Get lost!" the two shouted almost simultaneously.
