Chapter 105 - You Dare Call My Snake Venom Trash?

On the horizon stood a group of utterly defeated people.

Their faces were filled with gloom and resentment. Before leaving, they kept turning back to look in the direction of Heaven Dou Imperial Academy, silently swearing that one day, today's humiliation would be repaid in full.

Fortunately, Qin Ming's return soothed their wounded hearts a little.

The group headed toward Heaven Dou City, planning to seek a new path.

But they didn't expect a notice posted at the city gate to completely overturn their fates.

  Seven days later…

"From this day forward, Heaven Dou City's Lanba Advanced Spirit Master Elite Academy is renamed Shrek Advanced Spirit Master Elite Academy.  Dean: Flender.  Vice-Deans: Liu Erlong, Zhao Wuji, Yu Xiaogang.  Teachers: Qin Ming, Yin Shu…"

This announcement was pasted directly over the old Lanba Academy notice at the gate.

"Truly, after the dark will always come the dawn. This Shrek Academy is like a phoenix reborn from its ashes."  Zhu Zhuqing and Zhou Sidong stood at the gate, reading the fresh announcement.

"Liu Erlong was originally the Killing Horn of the Golden Iron Triangle. For Shrek to escape disaster and then gain this opportunity… seems fate doesn't mean for them to die."

At the moment, everything was unfolding exactly within Zhou Sidong's expectations.

"So next, we…" Zhu Zhuqing asked.

"Next? What next?" Zhou Sidong shrugged.

"Of course—participating in the upcoming Continental Advanced Spirit Master Elite Tournament. I heard the prize this time is three spirit bones." Zhu Zhuqing said.

Ever since Qin Ming left, the Emperor Team had changed to a new team leader—decent, but bland. Without Qin Ming, daily training lost its fire.

To unwind, Zhou Sidong brought Zhu Zhuqing out to stroll around Heaven Dou City.

Zhu Zhuqing felt extremely confident in her current strength. For this star-studded tournament, she fully intended to take the crown.

  "Three spirit bones?"

Zhou Sidong couldn't help but smile. Those three spirit bones belonged to him.

And obviously, his things never had a tradition of being given away. There was no universe where he'd let those spirit bones land in someone else's hands.

After wandering around for a while, the sun began to set, and the two finally returned to their long-unvisited home.

The moment they opened the door, they saw the little Dark Demon Evil God Tiger sprawled lifelessly on the ground—being relentlessly molested by Bibi Dong in all kinds of ways.

Little Dark Demon Evil God Tiger: Σσ°)°

When it saw Zhou Sidong, its eyes lit up like it had found salvation.  But escaping Bibi Dong's claws? Yeah… impossible.

This beast once dominated the Star Dou Great Forest for ten thousand years—yet somehow ended up as someone's plaything!?

"I can't help you."  Zhou Sidong's words shattered its last hope. The little tiger looked up at Bibi Dong's smiling face… and collapsed in utter resignation.

Seeing its despair, Bibi Dong couldn't help laughing hysterically.  "Little one! Lift that head up! Otherwise I'll turn you into my spirit ring!"

Little Dark Demon Evil God Tiger: (^ω^)

  Zhou Sidong: "…"

"I feel like our home is a bit too quiet."

Usually, Zhou Sidong and Zhu Zhuqing studied at Heaven Dou Royal Academy outside the city. They only came home during holidays.  Qian Renxue had to disguise herself as Xue Qinghe every day to handle national duties.

So most of the time, only Bibi Dong lived here—though Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo guarded her.

But lately, the two old partners of many decades had started arguing.

All because both wanted to take Zhu Zhuqing as a disciple.

Yue Guan wanted her because she had consumed Acacia Heartbroken Red and was acknowledged by it.

Gui Mei wanted her because her Youming Lingmao (Netherworld Spirit Cat) martial soul was perfect for stealth and assassination.

At this point, the two were on the verge of brawling, completely unaware that Zhu Zhuqing herself didn't even know two Title Douluos were fighting over her.

"Quiet? Why quiet? I've got Little Dark with me—I'm not lonely at all! Right, Little Dark?"  Bibi Dong rubbed the tiger cub's head affectionately.

  "Meow!" (Whatever you say…)

Zhou Sidong chuckled but said nothing.

In the original story, Tang San killed plenty of spirit beasts.  The Qianjun Ant Emperor brothers, the Human-Faced Demon Spider… all beasts Tang San absolutely hated.

"I suddenly want to expand our future lineup, Xiaoxue." Zhou Sidong called out.

"What? What happened?"  Xiaoxue poked her head out from his brow.

"I want to get Little Dark a few younger brothers." Zhou Sidong said.

The little tiger, still being tormented, suddenly brightened up.

"My son, you're planning to go to the Star Dou Great Forest?" Bibi Dong asked. She knew very well what Xiaoxue was capable of—spirit beasts would submit without resistance.

"No. This time I'm not going to Star Dou.  I'm heading… to the ocean."  A faint smile lifted at the corner of Zhou Sidong's mouth.

  …

  Night fell. Stars glittered.

Outside Heaven Dou City, a golden streak shot across the sky toward the far distance.

Lanba Academy—no, now it was Shrek Academy.

After seven days of rest, Flender and Yu Xiaogang's injuries were mostly healed; they could walk again.

Behind the academy, near a small cabin…

Tang San crouched in the grass, peeking at Yu Xiaogang and Liu Erlong affectionately talking together, his face showing a knowing aunt-like smile.

Suddenly, his whole body froze.  The air grew bitterly cold.  His limbs felt unbearably heavy, his scalp prickled, and every instinct screamed—run.

  But his feet wouldn't obey.

  Trembling, he turned around.

A green-robed elder was walking toward him at an unhurried pace.

  "You… you're Dugu—"

Before he finished, Dugu Bo chopped him on the neck, knocking him out, then slung him over his shoulder.

"Who was it that said my Jade Phosphor Serpent Emperor poison is trash, hmm?"  Dugu Bo's smile was cold as frost.  In the blink of an eye, he vanished with Tang San.

From appearing to disappearing, no more than three breaths passed.

  "What happened!?"

Liu Erlong sensed abnormal movement. She tore out of Yu Xiaogang's arms, leaped forward, and arrived at the empty patch of ground where Tang San had been.

Her face darkened.  "Xiaogang… something must've happened to Xiaosan."

The late-arriving Yu Xiaogang panicked instantly.

He forced himself to stay calm—but failed miserably.

"It was Dugu Bo!" Yu Xiaogang's eyes bulged in terror.

"You're certain it was him!?" Liu Erlong exclaimed.

"I'd recognize that old bastard even if he turned to ashes!"

  Yu Xiaogang trembled violently.

If not for Dugu Bo, he would never have been humiliated publicly, mocked by the public, scorned as a fraud, called the root of all evil, and blamed for Shrek Academy's future downfall.

His oath from days ago had spread all across the continent—straight into the ears of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan.

Three days later, that clan issued an announcement:

"From this day forth, Yu Xiaogang is removed from the clan registry.  He is forbidden from ever returning."

When Yu Xiaogang heard this, he spat three mouthfuls of blood and nearly collapsed entirely.

He hated Dugu Bo and Zhou Sidong to the bone.  He wished he could flay them alive, break their bones, grind them to dust.

But hatred couldn't save Tang San.

They needed to find Dugu Bo's location fast.

"Erlong, we must regroup with Flender and plan how to save Xiaosan." Yu Xiaogang said anxiously.

Liu Erlong nodded and sprinted toward Flender's hut, terrified they were already too late.

"Tang Hao! Tang Hao! Where the hell have you been all these years? Your son gets taken and you still don't show up? If I'm late by even a step and he gets dismembered or turned to dust, don't you dare blame me!"

  Yu Xiaogang muttered angrily.

Only fifty meters away, hidden in the grass, Tang Hao had just arrived—only to hear this exact line.

His chest nearly exploded from rage.

I entrusted my son to you… and this is what you've become?  I should never have let you teach him! I should've raised him myself! No wonder you're stuck at rank 29 forever! No wonder you were expelled!

  Tang Hao clenched his fists.

He already knew what happened to Shrek at Heaven Dou Royal Academy.  He regretted everything—but he couldn't pull Tang San away now.

A spirit master only had one teacher in their life.  If Tang Hao broke that rule, Yu Xiaogang would go insane and broadcast it to the whole continent.  That would ruin Tang San's future completely.

So he quietly followed Dugu Bo's trail, prepared to save his son.

If Tang San suffered even a scratch…  Tang Hao wouldn't mind reducing the number of living Title Douluo by one.

Inside a dark cave, the ground damp, green flames flickering on the walls—  Even reborn Tang San felt icy fear creeping into his bones.

"Dugu Bo… why did you kidnap me?" Tang San asked shakily.

"Disciple of the fraud Yu Xiaogang."  Dugu Bo stared coldly at him.

"My teacher isn't a fraud!" Tang San snapped.

"Fifty-something years old. Rank 29. Fraud. Hypocrite.  And he even sent someone you care about into a death battle.  What about that is not trash?"  Dugu Bo scoffed.

"My teacher is NOT trash!" Tang San glared.

"Believe what you want.  Your 'teacher' has already been expelled from the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan.  And you're about to die, too.  After you die, I'll send your ashes to Yu Xiaogang… and then kill him next.  Now that sounds entertaining."  Dugu Bo's smile was venomous.

"T-This makes no sense! We have no grudge!" Tang San retreated, legs shaking violently. Even with two lifetimes, in the face of real death, all calm shattered.

"Who called my Jade Phosphor Serpent Emperor poison trash at the Royal Academy?"  Dugu Bo's voice dripped with mockery as green poison gathered in his hand.

The toxic smell permeated the cave, eerie light dancing across the walls.

  "I…"

Tang San couldn't refute it.  He did say it.  And to him, that poison was trash—because in the Tang Sect of his previous life, poison arts were supreme, far more advanced than anything in this world.

If he couldn't hold a little pride as a transmigrator, what was the point?

Seeing him speechless, Dugu Bo smirked.  "Cat got your tongue? Big mouth earlier, huh?  Your filthy attitude must have been taught by that trash teacher of yours."

Tang San trembled with rage.  Suddenly, a memory surfaced in his mind—Zhou Sidong's warning:

"Let me give you a piece of advice: watch your mouth, or misfortune will come knocking."

Today, that prophecy hit like thunder.

Breathing became harder.  Dugu Bo's killing intent washed over him like a flood.

"Dugu Bo! Release Xiaosan right now! Or this place will become your grave!"

A shout echoed through the cave.

Dugu Bo paused, then exploded in anger.

"Without my permission, you're not allowed to move from this spot.  If I return and you're gone, I'll dig up your ancestors and whip their corpses in front of you!"

He spat out the threat, then vanished as a streak of green light.

Moments passed.  Tang San finally let out a breath. His back was soaking wet with cold sweat, his face pale as chalk.

When someone stepped into the cave shortly afterward, Tang San nearly collapsed in relief.

Outside the Ice-Fire Yin Yang Well valley…

Yu Xiaogang shouted with righteous fury—feeling utterly refreshed.

Tang Hao had already found them.  His plan was simple—Yu Xiaogang, Flender, and Liu Erlong made noise up front to draw Dugu Bo's attention, while he sneaked in to rescue Tang San.

With Tang Hao backing them, Yu Xiaogang straightened his back like he was the one who owned the place—standing there with the posture of a Title Douluo coming to deliver judgment.

"Xiaogang, tone it down.  Dugu Bo isn't out yet, and if he turns around, you're the one who'll suffer."  Flender warned, still traumatized from being beaten earlier.

Marching straight to a Title Douluo's doorstep to taunt him?  Wonderful way to get re-introduced to the afterlife.

  Flender shivered.

"Flender, what are you afraid of?"

Yu Xiaogang sneered.  "With Tang Hao here, Dugu Bo's dead today!  He dared kidnap my disciple—he must be prepared to be—"

  Killed by Tang Hao!

Before the last words came out—

A gust of wind blew past.

Yu Xiaogang was suddenly airborne, body launched like a cannonball.

  Head first, butt last.

Dugu Bo's residence sat deep in Sunset Forest, where massive ancient trees stood—trunks over five meters thick, towering dozens or even hundreds of meters.

  CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!

The sound echoed through the forest.

Yu Xiaogang's face drove straight into one massive trunk—  then through another—  and another—  until he finally smashed into a huge boulder.

He slid down in a straight line, blood spraying from his mouth, teeth scattered across the ground.  Half his face was printed clearly on the stone.

The trees he had crashed through were hollowed out perfectly—shaped exactly like his body.

Liu Erlong rushed over in tears, shaking him frantically.

Flender, watching this, silently thanked every deity in existence that he kept his mouth shut earlier.

"Luckily Xiaogang's face is thick enough. Don't worry, he just fainted—he'll live."  Flender comforted her.
