Chapter 30 - 24 .Between Love and Submission

When the goddess who carved your system starts to doubt you, it isn't just surveillance anymore.

It's a warning.

And when she appears in your dreams without a smile… you know you're slipping off the path she wrote.

Acxell's sleep was anything but restful.

He lay sprawled across the mattress, yet his body felt as though it were floating.

His heartbeat slowed… and then the dream crept in—

a violet mist wrapping itself around him.

He found himself standing in a void.

A violet sky overhead.

A black glass floor beneath his feet.

No wind. No sound.

Only a single figure far ahead of him… walking closer.

"You sleep like a human, Acxell…"

"But you're not that anymore."

Lilith's voice.

But this time, no warmth.

No teasing.

She stepped out of the shadows, her gown sweeping the floor.

Dark‑red hair burned like embers.

Her eyes glinted like molten obsidian.

She hadn't come to embrace.

She had come to judge.

"Three women already," she said.

"Three emotional points opened. Yet you've locked none of them."

Acxell stayed silent, his eyes fixed on the glass beneath his feet.

"Yuriko…"

"She's not an avatar. But she drags in more chaos than any other system."

"And Shiro… do you think I didn't see?"

"He's a shard from the goddess you're meant to fight. And you… just stood there, jealous and silent?"

[SYSTEM LIL‑01: EMOTIONAL INTEGRITY CHECK FAILED]

[REPRIMAND MODE INITIATED]

Acxell lifted his head.

"I didn't ask for all this to happen at once."

"You didn't ask…"

"But you accepted."

Lilith moved closer—her index finger touched Acxell's forehead.

In an instant, a holographic system board flared open, showing every emotional resonance:

Shiro and Yuriko standing together on the school staircase.

"Look at this," she said.

"He hasn't touched her once. And already you feel beaten."

"If I hadn't interfered today… this system would have crumbled by your own choices."

Acxell's fists clenched.

"I just…"

Lilith pressed a palm to his chest.

He fell backward onto the glass floor—

and the shadows of women surrounded him.

Selena. Yuriko.

And a third silhouette—unidentified.

All staring at him.

None moving.

"You think this is about who you love?"

"Wrong."

"It's about who you make kneel."

"I'm not jealous, Acxell."

"I'm disappointed."

[SYSTEM: WRATH FLICKER DETECTED – LILITH]

[SYSTEM CONTRACT: AT RISK]

[Override Bond Requested – INITIATED]

Lilith straddled him—not in seduction, but to press a glowing sigil onto his chest.

The system's emblem.

A brand of temptation now burning.

"Your mission isn't to fall in love."

"Your mission is to unlock power—

to become the key to overthrowing the other goddesses."

"I didn't create you to love humans."

"I created you to make them bow…

without bowing to anyone yourself."

The sigil flared once—then vanished.

[MARK OF BOND: INSTALLED]

[FAILURE TO SECURE NEXT FRAGMENT = SYSTEM WITHDRAWAL]

[NEXT TARGET: Yuriko Hanekawa]

Lilith rose.

And before she dissolved into mist…

"Acxell… just remember one thing."

"If you don't claim them, they'll belong to another system. And when that happens… you won't just lose them."

"You'll lose yourself."

Acxell woke with a jolt.

Cold sweat.

Short breaths.

He clutched his chest—the skin still warm where the sigil had been, though nothing was visible.

[SYSTEM: SILENT MODE]

[Auto‑Monitor Active – All Emotions Now Tracked]

[Mission Timer Started – 5 DAYS REMAINING]
