In the silence of the dark forest, Ilaya kept running away. She just goes straight to whatever she can run to, and this causes her foot to bleed from sharp objects that she stepped into. She's pumped with adrenaline as she breathes heavily from the pressure of being chased by a serial killer and her fatigue. She held her knife tighter didn't dare let go of it
As she's running. She feels that the sound of her footsteps is so deafening to her ears and she's worried that the killer will be able to find her due to how loud her steps are
She then stopped for a moment and listened around her to locate the serial killer and to change her course depending on his location. But, to her horror, she hears the crunching sounds of branches being stepped on near her!
She immediately turned around and ran as fast as she could. As she's running away, Ilaya hears that the person making the sounds earlier notices her steps and rushes to her location!
She kept running and her stab wound started hurting so much that she tripped and loses her balanced. Ilaya looked behind her as she saw a shadow of a man nearing her at a fast speed! She screamed
"Ahhhh!!"
The man then catches up to her and grabbed her shoulders
"Ilaya! I'm Yamato! Are you okay!?"
Ilaya stared at Yamato with disbelief, then she hugged Yamato and cried
"Please save me! The killer is trying to kill me! Please help me!"
She didnt let go of Yamato. She suffered so much pain and horror and all she wants to do is to see the owner and Mars. As she cried, Yamato felt that Ilaya's body was trembling violently and she's in so much blood. Yamato felt his heart constrict as if he felt Ilaya suffering at the killer's hand. He looked at her body if there's any critical wounds that needs attention
Her hair is clotted with blood and her face is black and blue from being hit. The blood in her face is starting to hardened. And finally, the large stab wound in her thigh that was gushing out with blood. He feels sorry at her condition and almost wanted to torture the serial killer, but he held his emotions as rescuing her is the top priority.
Yamato then said to Ilaya
"It's okay, your safe now, I will lead you back"
Then, Ilaya looked at him shocked. Yamato thought that she's still in shock of because of what happened to her, but Ilaya suddenly screamed
"Behind you! Yamato!"
Bang!
A gunshot sounded in the forest as Yamato falls down. Ilaya stared at Yamato before screaming
"Yamatooo!! No!!"
She hugged Yamato as she saw him convulsing and she felt her heart break. Someone was trying to save her, but die because of her
"Ahhhhh!!"
Ilaya cried as she hugged Yamato. She felt that her heart is hurting as she felt the whispers appeared again. She didn't paid attention to the increasingly loud whispers and senses. She tries to dragged Yamato again, but was kicked in the chest as she flew backwards and bounced to the ground
'Do you want power?'
She hears whispers as she lies down on the ground. She tried to crawl away but kicked again in her side as she curled up
"Ahh!… Ya.. mato.."
She didn't even paid attention to her condition as she kept staring at Yamato who's laying on the ground, bleeding
'Do you want power?'
The whispers appeared in her ear again as she felt despair. She covered her ears as the killer continue to beat her
"Haha, you thought your going to escape? I will definitely torture you before I kill you!!"
Ilaya just let herself go. She let the killer beat her as she gave up on everything.
'If I'm alive only to suffer like this, isn't better to just die'
As the Ilaya didn't react to his beating. The serial killer looked at what's she's looking at. He saw the man that's dying in the distance. The killer then said to her
"Ohh! So you know that guy! If your not going to scream, then maybe he will do it for you!"
Only then Ilaya snapped of her senses as she yelled
"Noo!! Don't hurt him!! Me! Only me!! Please!!"
The killer then grabbed her hair as he dragged her towards the fallen man. Ilaya cried from pain as she pleaded
"Please! Kill me!! Just not him!! I'll do anything that you want!! So please!!"
They reached where Yamato was lying and the man let go of her hair and kicked her again. She rolled from the force, then she looked at the serial killer breathlessly as he grabbed Yamato's hair, then dragged him in front of her. The killer throws her knife that the killer picked up and said to her
"Here, stab your thighs one on each and I'll let him live"
Ilaya looked at the knife in front of her as she nodded
"Alright! Alright! I'll do it!"
She grabbed the knife and plunged it in her thigh
Tsub!
"Ahhhh!!"
Ilaya felt her consciousness dimming as the pain that she felt is too much for her. Her tears flowed to her face as she pulled the knife out from her flesh, before blinding pain erupts again. Then, she stabbed her other thigh
Tsub!
"Ahhhh!!"
Ilaya screamed from pain
'It hurts!!'
Then she pulled out the knife and said to the killer
"I-I've done it! Please let him goo!! Please!!"
The killer looked at her and said
"Good! Now that you did what I've asked, I'll honor your determination…"
Ilaya then said profusely while crying
"Yes! Thank you! Thank you so much!"
'At- At least I save him… Yamato's…'
'Fool'
She hears whispers of herself again as she saw that the serial killer stabbed his dagger at Yamato's stomach. Ilaya felt her mind go blank, she only saw as the blood that's gushing out of Yamato's stomach is so red. So red that her vision turned red too
She felt that there's something inside her shatter, and the thing that was destroyed will never be recovered
The whispers of herself appeared again, this time, it's especially loud to her
'Do you want power?'
This time, she only said what she truly desire
"Yes, I want power"
Then, her body flared with red aura

As Ivana is running towards the forest, she hears a gun shot and immediately changes her direction. She estimates that she is currently 5 kilometers away from the source. Ivana then heard a female scream that was full of pain and suffering. She sped up her running, but the trees slowed her down
'That scream is from Ilaya. I have to hurry!'
She started to close the distance with only one kilometer left. But before she arrived. She suddenly trembled violently as she tripped and tumbled into the ground. She slammed into a tree due to her momentum.
Thud!
"Khhg!"
Ivana looked at the daggers in her hand as she slowly got up, she looked at the direction behind her and felt her hand trembling. She stared at her hands, confused
'Am I scared? Me?'
She then started to move again, this time, she's only walking as she wary about the danger that she picked up ahead. She had a hunch about what's giving her the chill
'I'm too late'
She sighed
"I better knock her out before she kill anyone else"
