As they reached their colleagues. They saw that there's three of them inside the entrance of the building, firing at the parked cars that the enemies were taking cover from
Michizugawa joins them as he takes cover from the corner of the wall because of the bullets coming from the outside. Then, immediately asked them
"What's going on!?"
One of lightly injured officer kept firing in the distance outside while saying
"There are enemy vehicles outside sergeant! We saw that they were all armed, but we didn't know who they were, so we just pointed our rifles at them first, while the other one of us dragged our critically injured officers into the room beside us just to be safe!"
The officer reloaded his rifle while he continues
"Then, they fired at us when they saw us! Those bastards are the reinforcement of our enemies here!"
Michizugawa also pointed his rifle outside and fired while he's thinking of their next step
'There are enemies inside, while there's also enemies outside. We're really trapped now! We need to leave this place! One can think of revenge if they're alive!'
Then, he immediately ordered the two officers in the other team
"You two! Reinforce the people who're stalling the enemies inside. We need to retreat from this place!"
Then, the two officers each ran in the opposite direction to help stalling enemies inside. Then, Kristan asked Michizugawa anxiously
"Sergeant! What do we do now!?"
Michizugawa immediately grimace
'I really don't know what to do now too, all I know is we need to leave this place… immediately'
"We need to escape from here! Gather all the explosives that all the other injured ones had! Prepare to run outside and go towards the side of the building!"
"Okay! I'll get them now!"
The Kristan immediately ran towards the makeshift infirmary as he said that
Then, he vanished in the hallway. Michizugawa then turned his attention outside. While firing, he shouted to the three officers in the entrance
"You three! We're going to escape outside and head towards the other side of the building! Prepare yourself and don't stop running!"
Before Michizugawa hears their answers, shouts of the officer who's stalling the enemies inside sounded in the hallway amidst the gunshots
"Sergeant!! We can't hold them off any longer!! We need to go now!!"
Michizugawa immediately cursed as he ran towards the makeshift infirmary as he shouted
"Fighting retreat!! Gather at the entrance!!"
Michizugawa was breathing heavily now as he entered the room where the critically injured officers were laying. He immediately said to Kristan who's picking up the explosives of their colleagues
"Give me all the smoke grenades! We need to go now! I'll drag the two of them! You take care of the others!"
Kristan nodded before giving him five smoke grenades. Michizugawa approached the two heavily injured police officers as he grabbed their uniforms at the back of their napes. Then, he proceeded to drag them outside the room as he dashed towards the entrance while gritting his teeth. Bullets whistled in his ears as the enemies on the second floor managed to make it to the first floor
He managed to reach the corner leading to the entrance and immediately let go of his colleagues. He then sprinted towards his previous position as he was greeted with bullets from the outside. He reached the hiding spots of the three fighting officers, as he threw the five smoke grenades in front of the building
He picked five different directions to cover all of the ground floor, as to confuse the enemies outside whether they will go left or right. As the smoke spread, the other two heavily injured officers that were dragged by Kristan arrived to where he left the other two. He immediately ordered him
"Kristan! Throw some grenades to the two ends of the hallway to slow down our enemies inside! Then, tell the four of them to gather here now!"
"On it!"
Kristan immediately started running. As he leaves, Michizugawa sees that one of the three officers fighting at the entrance is already dead, laying on the floor. The other one was hit in the forearm, and just let the blood flow while she's crying. He immediately rushed to the woman and talked to her as he bandaged her wound
"Don't lose hope! We can escape from here!"
The police woman just cry as she said
"I want to see my children…"
Michizugawa felt his heart being grip. He really didn't know if they would be able to escape from here alive. Still, he grabbed her shoulders as he said
"You can still see them! Just don't give up! For them!"
He needs to make them fight for them to be able to escape. If they lose morale before they even escape, then this place will all become their graveyards
The other five then arrived at the entrance and they still fired at the other end of the hallways. They're waiting for the signal to run outside the building. Kristan then asked Michizugawa
"What do we do now sergeant!?"
Michizugawa rapidly thought as he fired at the distance outside
'We have eight people that can still move, and four unconscious ones. Of eight people, six are already wounded including me. I need to fight those bastards outside and get their attention so that the others can escape'
As he rapidly thinks, a sound of extremely rapid firing sounded in the distance as powerful rounds of bullets passed through the concrete! Michizugawa immediately shouted
"Get down!! Gatling guns!!"
They all immediately laid flat on the ground as they watched in horror as the concrete all around them was smashed to bits. Debris immediately falls on Michizugawa he didn't hesitate anymore as he ordered
"The seven of you, choose the four least wounded to carry the unconscious!! The remaining three, you're in charge of escorting them to safety!! Go towards the right side of the building!!"
The noise of the bullets tearing through concrete and the sounds outside makes it hard to hear his words. But hard, doesn't mean that they didn't hear him. They immediately agreed to it, but Kristan ask Michizugawa worriedly
"What about you sergeant!?"
Michizugawa immediately said to him
"I'll distract them! Give me all your explosives!"
Kristan hesitated, but he immediately gives his grenades to him. They couldn't argue right now as the situation required a split second decision to act, so they moved decisively. After putting the grenades away, he immediately said to them
"Kristan, you'll lead them! You must escape from here! I'll follow you after I managed to distract them! Move after explosions sounded!! Good luck!!"
With that, Michizugawa immediately crawled outside the building. As the whole ground floor was covered in smoke, he stood up only when he's far from the entrance. He immediately ran towards the left part of the building and he entered the smoke. He saw flashes of lights from the machine guns as he pulled out a hand grenades
He crouched on the ground as he pulled the pins of the grenades one by one and started to throw them towards the sources of lights. The enemies immediately cursed as explosions sounded in the parking lot
Boomm! Boomm! Boomm!
He immediately dashed out of the smoke while they're still disoriented as he fired his rifles towards the people manning the machine guns
"Pang! Pang! Pang! Pang!
"Aggh!"
"Kaggh!"
The enemies fell as they caught off guard, but they immediately came to their senses as they fired at him. He immediately dashed and slid towards the car to take cover. Then, he immediately pulled out the second batch of grenades while the car that he's taking cover from was starting to be wrecked due to enemy fire
Thankfully, he killed the men manning the gatling gun, or his cover doesn't mean anything to those guns
He removed the pin of the grenades as he started to throw them again at the cars where there's gatling guns installed in them
As the grenades exploded. He immediately runs again while shooting at the enemies
