Rio's POV
I stepped into my office, but I still felt like I was back in that elevator with her , Elena. How perfectly she took me, how every inch of her body burned under my touch. Her soft skin against mine, the way she moaned my name, begging me to fuck her , it was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard.
Elena was flawless. Curved for me, mind, soul, heart , all mine. And I wouldn't stop until she was mine..well she is mine . But I'll make it official soon enough.
Am addicted to her , and she's the only thing I can think about.
I sit, loosening my tie. No schedule today , I smirked, knowing Elena would bring it soon enough.
Then the door swung open...I looked up with a smirk knowing it's her but my smirk falls when I see her . Jessica . Red dress too tight for comfort smiling at me and I instantly get disgusted.
"Heeey, baby," she purred, strutting in like she owned the place. My patience died a little. And her presence just ruined my day.
"Don't be like that, Rioo," she said, sliding onto my desk. Her dress rode up, but I didn't care to look. I was only seeing one thing: Elena's legs.
"Don't fucking call me that. What the fuck do you want, Jessica?" I snapped, standing. Her scent made me want to puke. And I wanted to be away from her .
"You," she said, eyes locked on me. I pinched the bridge of my nose.
"Get the fuck out. You don't get it, do you? I don't want you. Never will. Move the fuck on," I growled, stepping close, finger jabbing at her like she was slow.
"I know you want me," she whispered, trying to sound sexy. Pathetic.
"Get out. Now." My glare froze her.
Her face crumpled ,relief washing over me, thinking she finally quit.
Then, before I could take two steps away, she grabbed my collar and slammed her lips on mine.
The door swings open and Elena's scent hits me as I try push Jessica off me .
"You have a lot to d—"her voice died down when she registerd the situation.
I shoved Jessica off, disgust twisting my gut,as I wipe her taste and lip stick off my face .
I looked up. Elena stood there, eyes darting between us. I retreated — fuck, I knew how this looked.
"Can't you knock, you bitch? Babe, you should fire her," Jessica sneered, arms crossed.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt," Elena said softly, turning and leaving.
I grabbed Jessica's arm and slammed her against the wall. She smirked, but I wasn't done.
"Listen carefully, Jessica," I hissed, finger stabbing at her chest. "One: You don't ever speak to her like that again , next time, I put a bullet through your stupid head. Two: You're banned from my office, this building ,anywhere near me . I don't want you. Never will. Get the fuck out. Now. Before I drag you myself."i rise my voice and I was two seconds away from slapping the shit out of her .
She flinched. Good.
"Seriously? You're choosing your assistant over me? Are you fucking her?" Rage warped her face.
"Bullshit. Now get the fuck out before I shoot your brains out," I said, cold as ice, and dropped back in my chair.
"Fine," she sniffled, wiping tears, grabbing her purse, stomping out like the spoiled child she was.
She hates me now. Good.
I ran a hand through my hair, trying to think of a way to fix this mess. I knew we weren't together ,not yet , but I still felt the sting of her hurt.
A knock at the door. Elena's knock.
I stood fast. She entered, closing the door behind her, moving like she owned the space.
She placed what I assumed was my schedule on my desk.
"You have a lunch meeting with your father and Alfredo at one again , a board meeting at two to go over the project with everyone present. Tomorrow's prep for the ball, I'll handle your speech, plus the fundraising event, you need to sign paperwork..and the investors called I'll send you the email they sent ," she rattled off without looking up, expression unreadable. Her voice steady and composed .
"Elena…" I sighed, searching for the right words.
"Need anything else? Coffee, maybe?" Her tone was calm, but her eyes held a storm I couldn't read.
I just stared.
She turned to leave.
"Elena, wait."
She stopped and faced me.
"It wasn't what it looked like…" I began, but she raised her hand, silencing me.
"You don't need to explain. She's your girlfriend, Rio. What happened was a mistake. Excuse me," she said, cold as ice, and walked out.
The door slammed shut behind her and the rage in my chest unbearable.
"Fuuuck." I slammed my whiskey glass against the wall, shattering it.
I was raging , a bull in a china shop. Just when I thought we'd made progress, Jessica ruined everything. Now we were back to square one. Nothing good ever stays.
I'd fix this. I had to.
My watch read twelve-ten. The lunch meeting was my shot to talk to my father about what the fuck he's getting him self into with storm , and get out of this office for some air.
My phone dinged. A message from Elena — details and location of the lunch.
I grabbed my jacket, keys, and walked out.
Once inside my car, I punched the restaurant's address into my GPS and sped off , chasing answers, chasing control.
