Chapter 203 - Blood in her Hands

"Rose, I found it," Daphne said, bending over, "It was right under this tree where we sat on the way there,"

There was no reply from Theo from behind, and when Daphne turned around, she saw that her daughter's eyes were glowing.

She stood still in her spot, her claws slowly extending out with a predatory aura pouring out of her. Daphne could hear bones and muscles moving and reattaching, but there was no outward difference in her daughter's body.

Then, Daphne looked up at the Crescent Moon for a second. Transformation cycles don't usually occur in wolves until a few days before a Full Moon, but it wasn't so shocking since her daughter had always been a special case.

Daphne didn't feel the need to put up a shield around her daughter. Just like every other wolf, she thought a gentle approach, like trying to take a wild animal by coming at it slowly would work. And this was her daughter. She had no reason to be scared.
