"He said I should pass the message to you guys and the newbies... He should be here any minute"
While they discussed, shidan walked in with an aura of silence which no one noticed except for zeo who didn't join in on their conversation. His stealth was on a whole different level than the games he had played before and if not that he wasn't doing anything trivial, he wouldn't have noticed him at all.
"Hey there,you must be Zeo..."
"Yessir"
By the time the others realized it,he was having a good conversation with zeo and didn't care much about their discussion.
"You must have heard about the training camp right"
Dave walks over to shidan's side to give him a scolding
"Come on dude... You don't just jump us,we were basically waiting for you"
"My bad... morning guys"
"Morning..."
Shidan walked to his room while light follows him, discussing their plans for the training camp while zeo steps outside for some fresh air. As he relaxed on the bench outside,a girl wearing a croptop with jogging pants and a bottle of water walks past him after glancing at his direction but he ignored her. Later, when she was done excersicing, she walked to him and sat down on the bench beside him
"You're zeo right?"
"Yeah..."
"Thank goodness..."
"What can I help you with"
Saying nothing more, she stands up and runs forgetting her phone behind unintentionally
"Hey miss...you left your—"
He couldn't complete what he had to say as she had gotten too far so he decided to follow her. After a while of stalking, he finally got to an estate close to the defenders guild. Seeing that she is getting closer to her home,he tries to catch up to her but she suddenly stopped and another girl came out from a house close by prompting him to hide
Even though he didn't mean to, he ended up eavesdropping on their conversation.
"Hey Maya,I saw zeo today"
"Seriously?!... where"
"At the defenders guild..."
Zeo couldn't grasp the remaining part of the conversation but he knew that the girl in person knows him but couldn't understand how they are related in any way. Nevertheless, he came to hand her the phone she had left and that was what he would do
"Um...miss,you forgot your phone"
"Oh"
They stopped their conversation immediately they knew I was there
"Um, how long have you been there"
"I just got here..."
It's okay to lie right
"Oh I see... thanks"
After handing her the phone, she turned to leave but he stopped her with a question
"If I may ask, where do you know me from?"
Just as she was about answering his questiona beast drops from the sky, attempting to flatten Zeo with a single strike but zeo parries the beast, shifting it's balance.
"Step back miss..."
The beast turns to attack him but he blocks before delivering a punch to it stunning the beast. Seeing that it is outmatched, it turns to the girl standing by a corner and throws a rock at her which she barely dodges unscathed. Zeo rushes her and her friend out of danger before focusing on the beas
The beast seemed weakened after taking damage for a period of time.this time, it went for a precise strike to the girls catching them off guard but zeo barely manages to block. Seeing this, the beast proceeds to attack zeo who was his main target from the beginning
What, that was a decoy?!... shit I'm not gonna make it in time
