In September, three to five men dressed as Santa Claus appeared on the streets. Passersby might glance at them and instantly put them out of their minds; even if occasionally puzzled, they wouldn't chase after them to ask what was going on.
Everyone has their own path in life; they only want to rush to their next job location after finishing their work.
But for Batman, these guys were simply too conspicuous as targets.
So much so that Batman didn't even use Manhattan as a starting point, but directly led Venom Robin to drive the Batmobile straight to Queens.
Sure enough, unusual events betoken trouble. These guys dressed as Santa Claus turned out to be a group of robbers, and at this moment, they had already controlled the staff in the lobby of Ponce Bank.
If the police arrived, these staff members would inevitably become hostages in the hands of the robbers, which could lead to unnecessary tragedies.
But this was not within Batman's considerations. He simply took Venom Robin, flew to the bank's skylight, and shattered it with a single punch.
With a crash, Batman descended from the sky along with the splashing broken glass. At the same time, dozens of threads of pitch-black spider silk shot out from his wrists.
Snap!
These pitch-black spider threads accurately stuck to the double-barreled shotguns in the hands of all the "Santa Clauses," causing all the gun muzzles to be lifted upward under the pull of Batman's immense strength.
"Robin!" Batman shouted in a low voice.
"Coming!"
Venom Robin jumped down from the skylight closely following behind Batman. His hands split into dozens of symbiote tentacles that grabbed the double-barreled shotguns, the muzzles of which had been pulled up by the spider silk.
After grabbing the shotguns, the symbiote tentacles easily snatched them from the robbers' hands, then coiled around the barrels and bashed them against the robbers' heads.
Clang clang clang!
In just two seconds, these robbers fell to the ground.
At this moment, the bank staff were still in a state of panic, their brains not yet reacting to the situation.
They only knew that one second ago, their group was under the control of robbers, and the next second, Batman smashed through the skylight and neutralized the robbers.
By the time they finally came to their senses, Batman had already used spider silk to wrap up the unconscious robbers and left through the skylight.
Except for the broken glass covering the floor and the unlucky bank manager whose leg had been broken, everything seemed to have returned to normal.
The Queensboro Bridge, also known as the Queens Bridge, is a double-deck cantilever bridge that passes over Roosevelt Island, connecting Queens and Manhattan.
Batman brought the few robbers dressed as Santa Claus here, using spider silk to hang them upside down beneath the bridge, suspended over the East River.
"Robin, wake them up," Batman said in a deep voice.
"You got it."
Venom Robin excitedly grabbed the bridge with a tentacle, lowered his whole body down to the suspended robbers, and then extended his palm to slap them one by one.
Slap slap slap...
Under Venom Robin's slaps, the group of robbers immediately woke up from their unconsciousness.
By now, the sky had turned dark. The bridge above was heavy with traffic, but the East River below was pitch black.
A cold wind blew past, and amidst a mix of pain and fear, several robbers couldn't help but scream out.
"Shh! Don't scream."
Venom Robin said to the robbers with a mischievous chuckle.
However, Venom Robin underestimated the terror inspired by his eerie white eyes and his ferocious image of a mouthful of fangs.
Not only did the robbers not stop making noise, but they also let out high-pitched screams one by one, struggling desperately to break free from the spider silk's binding.
But Batman's spider silk was extremely tough. Even if these robbers combined their strength and used every ounce of might they had, they couldn't snap a single strand.
Their struggling was useless, aside from making their upside-down bodies swing back and forth in the air.
"I said don't scream! Or I'll eat you!" Venom Robin stuck out his scarlet long tongue and shouted at the robbers, somewhat annoyed.
"Don't, don't eat me!" one Santa Claus screamed in terror.
With one person begging for mercy, the other Santa Clauses immediately followed suit and shouted:
"Spare me! Spare me!"
"I wet my pants! I smell like piss! Don't eat me!"
"Don't listen to him! He has diabetes, he's sweet!"
The noisy shouting became a cacophony, making Venom Robin's head spin. He couldn't help but look up with a pleading expression at Batman, who was crouching on a steel beam.
Batman didn't make it hard for Venom Robin. He pulled on a spider thread and descended quickly, hanging beside the few robbers.
Seeing another pitch-black figure arrive, the robbers began to beg for mercy again, crying and shouting.
But this routine was useless against Batman.
"In five minutes, a large tugboat will pass through here." Batman's voice was deep, speaking words that seemed irrelevant to these robbers.
He didn't give the robbers time to think about this statement:
"Cooperate and answer all my questions, otherwise I will tie you up and throw you into the water."
"When the tugboat passes, you will be sucked under the hull. The steel will scrape the flesh from your bones, and the current will press you against the hull, dragging you like a rag for thirty seconds, until you reach the stern."
"At the stern, there is a propeller five meters in diameter, rotating two hundred times per minute. It can easily shred your bodies into a cloud of blood mist and crushed bone."
Wooo!
As soon as Batman finished speaking, as if responding to him, the whistle of a large tugboat came from the distance.
The robbers struggled again, constantly emitting various cries for mercy with a limited vocabulary.
Batman looked at them coldly, then reached out and yanked off the spider silk holding one of the robbers.
"Ahhh!!!"
That robber immediately fell down screaming miserably. Then came a splash from the East River, and that robber's voice vanished without a trace.
"Now, cooperate with me. Answer my questions."
Venom Robin's eyes widened. He saw clearly that Batman didn't throw the robber whose web he snapped into the water; he simply shot a ball of web to gag his mouth.
The sound of falling into the water was just the sound of a smoke bomb Batman threw exploding in the water.
From Venom Robin's perspective, this was all clear at a glance, nothing scary.
But in the eyes of the remaining few robbers, it was the cold and ruthless Batman efficiently killing one of their partners.
The smell of urine immediately wafted through the air. Batman frowned and activated the Arkham Suit's air filtration system, his voice remaining deep:
"In the last month, have you seen a white female with a prominent figure, about 5.5 feet tall?"
The robbers shook their heads repeatedly:
"Haven't seen her, haven't seen her."
Splash!
Accompanied by Batman snapping another spider thread, another surviving robber fell screaming, followed by another sound of hitting the water.
Batman's eyes glowed with white light as he looked coldly at the remaining robbers:
"Think carefully before answering."
"Haven't seen her, really haven't seen her!" The remaining robbers thought hard, begging for mercy with hoarse voices, "We really haven't seen her! Don't kill us!"
