A black G-Wagon tore down the express road at an insane speed, the engine growling like a beast let loose. Sabe gripped the steering wheel with white knuckles, driving with absolutely no care in the world as if he was actively courting death, or perhaps simply too desperate to reach Matthew to even bother with his own safety.
His mind was a chaotic storm. The sting from the freshly bandaged wound on his forehead pulsed with every heartbeat. He couldn't get the image of his own blood dripping down his face out of his head, nor could he make sense of Gabe's sudden disappearance.
Just how the hell did this even happen? Sabe thought inwardly, jaw tight, fury simmering beneath the bruising pain. He pressed harder on the wheel, willing the car to go faster. Did someone break in? How can an Alpha....an Alpha like me end up smashing my own head against something without even remembering how it happened?
His face twisted with frustration.
