Matthew sighed softly and leaned closer. "But I know everything will be over soon. It's only a matter of time. The police will drop the case."
He leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss on Sabe's cheek, lingering there for a moment.
"Or…" Matthew pulled back slightly, his gaze sharpening. "Are you crying because of Gabe?"
His hand tightened just a bit on Sabe's face.
"You still want him?"
"And why should I even think about that motherfucker?!" Sabe snapped, his voice rising with barely restrained anger. His chest heaved as he continued, bitterness lacing every word. "I was just overwhelmed by everything. Besides, you weren't here when all of it happened."
Before Matthew could respond, Sabe reached out and grabbed him by the waist, pulling him closer until their bodies were pressed together, although Matthew big belly was an obstacle but then they stopped held each other.
