"We need to leave. Now." My voice was firm.
I clasped Dominic's arm and tugged him away from the elevator. It was clear Kate wanted to humiliate us, and I wasn't going to let her.
Dominic, of course, was stubborn. He wouldn't budge, and dragging him was nearly impossible given our size difference.
"What are you doing?!" I snapped, still pulling at him. "Isn't it bad enough that the media's already out to write whatever bullshit they want? Do you want her to add insult to injury?"
Dominic scoffed, his gaze fixed coldly on Kate. Still, he didn't move. I gave up and let go.
"Security!" Kate bellowed again, striding toward Dominic with surprising boldness for someone her size.
"What's going on here?" A voice rang out—cold, firm, and commanding.
