"Probability of paternity is 0%."

I scoffed at the result sitting on my desk.

It made no fucking sense—at least not to me. For a powerful man like George Wilson to have a child like Harper under his care, letting the world believe she was his when he knew she wasn't… What the hell was he thinking?

Trying to make the world believe he could be caring to an outsider?

No. Hell no.

An outsider that wasn't even his child to begin with. It felt more like he had kept her just to torment her.

I pulled out my phone and dialed Richard's number. He picked up on the second ring.

"Boss," he said.

"I need you to do something for me.

"What?"

"Dig into my wife's birth records."

"Did something happen?" Richard cut in.

I glowered at the desk. "Stop interrupting me and let me speak."

"Sorry, boss," he muttered.

"She was born twenty-five years ago. I want the hospital, the attending physician, the admission logs, and the discharge notes. Everything."
