I wanted to laugh at his suggestion, tell him he was probably seeing things, but the expression on his face told me he had already assumed I fathered those kids.
"Why would you think so?" I asked him, tilting one brow in question. "Because she was my ex and you think I wouldn't know if she was pregnant?"
Jason shrugged, resting his intertwined hands under his chin. "I know sharing a great resemblance alone isn't enough to determine paternity. DNA matters. But they look so much like you. And I doubt she would've not kept being pregnant a secret from you with the way you acted toward her."
I frowned at him.
I hadn't told him the real reason Harper and I were no longer together or why she had left. He only thought I pushed her away because I didn't want her anymore and preferred to hang around with women.

It didn't help that Mila thought the same.
