DOMINIC POV
"So, he left, huh?" I murmured, flipping through the folder on my desk.
"Yes," William nodded. He leaned forward and picked up the coffee mug from the table. I watched as he took a sip before setting it back down.
"What changed his mind?"
William gave me a pointed look. "It's because of you."
"He already saw he can't win a legal battle against me," I said with a small smile.
William scoffed, shaking his head. "No. I don't think Julian was ever afraid of a legal battle. In fact, he was willing to get dirty with you."
I snickered. If he was willing to go that far, then why leave his so-called fiancée?
Obviously, realizing he had already lost was the only sane explanation. I closed the folder and glanced at my wristwatch.
It was 6 PM. The perfect time to pay Harper a visit.
"No," William's voice cut through my thoughts. He shook his head repeatedly. "Don't do whatever you're thinking."
"What am I thinking?" I raised one brow.
