Chapter 53 - Chapter 53

Weekend Morning

"Congratulations, Host. You've received a 1% share.""The document can be retrieved at any time."

Silver Treasure Chest: 7

Takumi Yuuya opened the document.

Once again, it was shares in the Fushikawa Bookstore.

3% of the shares equaled 15 billion yen.

"If only I could get Fushikawa Bookstore shares in every lottery," he thought as he got dressed.

Fushikawa Bookstore owned a huge collection of light novels. Their anime adaptations and merchandise were extremely profitable.

If a few masterpieces appeared… it would be a goldmine.

In other words, if Takumi could bring a "god-tier" work from another world, he could earn even more.

However, to truly benefit, he needed to control the copyright himself.

He shook his head. Now wasn't the time to overthink things—he'd deal with that once he had control of Fushikawa Bookstore.

And to bring in a masterpiece, he'd need the system's help anyway.

After finishing his morning routine, the doorbell rang.

Takumi opened it to see Eriri Sawamura.

Golden twin tails, black dress.

She seemed a little less cutesy than usual, but had gained the charm of a girl-next-door vibe.

Eriri looked shy and happy under Takumi's gaze.

"You feel a little less cute, but I really like this style of yours," he said with a smile.

"Affection from Sawamura Eriri +50"

"I… all my other clothes look childish, so…" Eriri's face turned red.

Takumi reached out and pulled her into his arms.

"No matter what style you have, I like you."

"Affection from Sawamura Eriri +50"

Her small head rested against his chest.

After a moment, they entered the living room together.

Takumi opened her lunchbox, admired it, and praised her again.

"Affection from Sawamura Eriri +50"

After breakfast, Takumi changed clothes and rolled his motorcycle out of the garage.

They put on their helmets and set off immediately.

The ride to a camping site in the Chiba countryside took about forty minutes.

Once they parked, Eriri looked around with curiosity.

Takumi rented some fishing gear and led her to the lakeside.

The fishing contest officially began.

Ten minutes later, it was over.

Takumi had caught three fish first.

He smiled at Eriri.

"Eriri, I win."

"You… do you have any conditions?"

"My conditions are… a little extreme."

"You… you won, so even if your condition is extreme, I might consider it."

"Then we'll talk tonight."

"Okay."

Eriri's face flushed deep red. Clearly, she had already imagined some… inappropriate scenarios.

The three fish were handed over to the chef for preparation.

Takumi held Eriri's small hand and led her up a nearby hill.

From the top, the view was breathtaking and refreshing.

Holding Eriri close, Takumi admired the scenery.

Eriri leaned fully into his embrace, feeling safe and secure.

"Eriri." Takumi called softly.

"Hmm?" She turned her head to look at him.

He lowered his head and kissed her.

Eriri froze for a moment before awkwardly responding.

"Affection from Sawamura Eriri +50""Affection from Sawamura Eriri +50""Affection from Sawamura Eriri +50"

Lunch was the three fish, each prepared differently, all delicious.

Eriri had a small appetite.

After finishing, she quietly waited for Takumi.

He ate the remaining fish, paid, and returned the fishing gear.

Then he gave Eriri a ride home.

Back at home, the motorcycle was parked and the date continued.

They took a taxi to a place popular among otaku.

Takumi bought a Meruru figure and poster.

Eriri looked puzzled.

"You like Meruru?"

"My maid's little sister likes it. When I visited her, I promised to bring her gifts."

"Oh."

"Next, we'll visit a bookstore."

Takumi said with a meaningful glance.

Eriri's cheeks turned red. She remembered the manga he had bought last time.

At the bookstore, Takumi glanced at the clerk.

It was still Ruri Gokou.

This time, he didn't go for the usual light novels. He headed straight for a different section.

Eriri blushed slightly as she watched Takumi's back.

Before he reached that section, he noticed someone dressed oddly.

Long golden hair, wearing a hat.

Although her face was hidden, he felt confident it was her.

He approached her side.

She held a manga in her hands, reading intently, occasionally letting out a strange laugh.

"Kousaka-san, hello," Takumi greeted.

"H-Hello…" Kousaka Kirino muttered subconsciously.

After speaking, she realized who it was and stared at Takumi in shock.

Who was this person? How did they recognize me?

Takumi smiled. Sure enough, it was Kousaka Kirino. Her outfit left a strong impression.

She hesitated, unsure whether to run, when Takumi spoke again.

"Some time ago, I overheard your conversation with Manami, and by coincidence, Manami and Kyousuke Kousaka are in the same class as me," Takumi said slowly.

"W-What conversation?" Kirino paled.

"The older brother you liked never really existed…"

"That was just when I was little. I don't think that way anymore, I…"

"Your online purchase history shows a lot of strange games, all within the same genre."

"Y-You… how do you know?"

Kirino looked at Takumi in disbelief.

He didn't answer, instead glancing at the manga in her hands.

"You said, if Kyousuke knew about this, he might…"

"Disgust from Kousaka Kirino +50"

"I can pay you," Kirino said seriously.

"Sure, give me ten billion yen," Takumi proposed.

"Ten billion yen? Why don't you just steal it?"

"Ten billion yen, or…"

Takumi studied her closely.

Kirino felt his gaze and clenched her fists, wanting to punch him.

"Disgust from Kousaka Kirino +50"

"My father is…"

"I know. You don't need to remind me. I won't make any excessive demands. I just want to help you with one problem that's bothering you."

"Help me?"

"You, an otaku without otaku friends, and I, an otaku too, are in the same boat."

"So… you want to be my otaku friend?"

"Yes. That's my first condition. Not too much to ask, right?"

Takumi smiled at her.

She hesitated briefly—this condition wasn't unreasonable.

"Okay… fine."

"Let's exchange contact info."

Takumi pulled out his phone.

Kirino didn't refuse.

After exchanging contacts, she asked,

"What's your name?"

"Takumi Yuuya."

"You said you're an otaku too. What kind of anime do you like?"

"Meruru."

"You… like Meruru?"

"Affection from Kousaka Kirino +10"
