Nero sighed.
He was completely exhausted.
"How do you know my name?" He said through labored breaths.
The glowing ball of light shook slightly,
"I know all the names in the world! You can call me Icarus, Nero."
Nero grimaced as he sat up and stared at the thing.
Even now, he couldn't quite believe what he was seeing.
He chuckled bitterly,
"Damn it. I might be going crazy."
"You definitely are, Nero!"
The voice coming from the orb of light was upbeat and innocent. Like that of a pure child.
Combined with the spooky atmosphere of the forest, it was adequately terrifying.
Nero sighed,
"What do I do now?"
He had lost the thing chasing him in the forest, but now, he was also lost himself.
"I can lead you to the Spire of Dreams if you want, Nero."
Nero chuckled bitterly,
"You really can?"
The orb of light trembled,
"Of course I can, Nero. Follow me." It said and began floating away.
Nero winced,
