Chapter 2 - Toying with Gojo

Sukuna felt himself shift from his innate domain into Yuji's body. Once more he felt the air on his face, the clothes on his skin, and the blood pumping through his veins.

Opening his eyes, he looked towards Gojo, extending an arm outwards and making a grabbing gesture at him.

"Mochi." Sukuna stated, causing Gojo to laugh.

The sorcerer threw a few pieces of mochi over, which Sukuna caught in the air, putting them in his mouth and consuming them.

"Anythyng his majesty wants, he shall receive, oh so great King of Curses" Joked Gojo, his tone dripping with arrogant sarcasm. He exaggeratedly bowed, the bag of mochi swinging gently as he straightened up, smirking at the strange turn of events.

'Oh, this is going to be so fun'

"Are you attempting to… 'make fun of me', Suguwara?" Sukuna said in an amused tone.

"Suguwara? You're about 400 years too late for that, your highness, we're the Gojo clan now." Gojo replied.

"Alright then… Gojo," Sukuna started, moving his thumb and index finger to his face, stroking an imaginary beard in a convincing thinking pose. "Would you mind explaining your jest?I do not recall ever being royalty, or ruling over any curses in my life."

Gojo laughed

"You seriously don't get it? You're Ryomen Sukuna, the guy known for massacres, cannibalism, abundant amounts of bloodlust, among other things. Does that ring any bells?"

Sukuna tilted his head, an extremely confused expression on his face as he spoke in an exasperated tone.

"I… do not recall ever committing such acts, Gojo. Are you sure you are not currently confusing me with… some other sorcerer?"

The innocence of the words clashed with his demonic form, his four eyes blinking in unison to heighten the effect.

Gojo's expression turned dark for a fleeting moment, a shadow crossing his features as his cursed energy spiked in warning..

"You really expect me to believe your act, Sukuna?" Gojo's voice dropped, carrying an edge of skepticism that cut through the air.

Just as quickly, Gojo's face became cheerful once more, the darkness lifting like a veil as he clapped his hands together with exaggerated enthusiasm.

"But I guess I'll believe you if you beat me in a fight, I'll even give you the first move!"

His posture shifted into one of readiness, knees slightly bent, arms casually loose at his sides, the bag of mochi set aside on the ground as if preparing for a friendly sparring match rather than a battle with the Strongest Sorcerer of History.

Sukuna paused, taking a second to consider.

'He's on edge from my extra cursed energy, even with that binding vow I'm still a bit over 5 fingers in strength. He's trying to gauge my strength, heh, I guess I'll play along, I'll make you regret those words, Satoru Gojo'

"Judging by that blindfold of yours, you are this era's Six eyes and Limitless user, correct?"

Gojo gave him a thumbs up.

"Bingo! Got it in one!"

Sukuna nodded.

"Alright then, I accept"

Sukuna sent out a regular dismantle, lowering the output, aiming to lull Gojo into a false sense of security.

Gojo smirked as it brushed uselessly against his Infinity. Reassured, he spoke up with a mocking tone.

"Wow, I was expecting a little more, I'm actually kind of disappointed!"

Sukuna smiled.

'He's fallen right into my trap!'

"That was merely a probe to see if your neutral limitless was activated, so now let me show you a real attack!"

"Dismantle!"

The second Dismantle possessed infinite speed from the binding vow, and thus was able to completely bypass Gojo's infinity.

Gojo's right arm fell to the ground, blood pouring out of the socket before his Reverse Cursed Technique regenerated the appendage.

Megumi and Gojo shared expressions of immense surprise on their faces, eyes wide, mouths agape. Megumi's hands trembled slightly, his earlier fear resurfacing, while Gojo's blindfold couldn't hide the brief flicker of genuine astonishment.

"How did you–"

"I used the Anti-Limitless technique"

Gojo stilled.

Megumi stilled.

The silence was deafening.

"The what."

"The Anti-Limitless technique, from the Heian era."

Both sides stood, staring at the other until Gojo spoke up, breaking the silence.

"That's not a thing."

"Yes it is." Sukuna said with a deliberate slowness, allowing each syllable to sink in.

His four eyes narrowed slightly in mock seriousness, as if puzzled by the modern sorcerer's ignorance of such foundational lore from the Heian period.

Gojo shook his head in disbelief.

"It isn't"

"It is, in fact it was recorded in a book I wrote back in the Heian era."

Gojo looked surprised.

"You wrote a book!?"

Sukuna nodded, letting out a low hum in agreement as he elaborated.

"A Comprehensive Collection of All Current Jujutsu Techniques and Their Counters, by R. Sukuna. I am unsure if it has survived since my death however, as there was only a single copy."

Sukuna's voice was filled with both nostalgia and melancholy, as if regretting the loss of an old friend or a precious family heirloom.

Gojo shook his head, snapping out of his surprised stupor.

"Anyways it's almost been three minutes!" He announced, pointing to an imaginary watch.

Sukuna felt Yuji tugging his consciousness down, trying to suppress him. Without resisting, Sukuna shifted into his domain once more, assuming a cross-legged position in the shrine and chuckling to himself.

"Alright then, with that out the way I can begin planning on what to do next!"

He sat there for a few seconds before smirking, having thought of the perfect idea.

"Always bet on me to leave it all behind and stand proud, because Lobotomy Kaisen is about to become canon!"

Sukuna laughed once more, this time loud and hearty, his laugh echoing throughout the domain before being interrupted by a dull thud.

"Eh?"

Sukuna stood up, looking past the platform on the skull mound and seeing Yuji's unconscious form sprawled awkwardly on the floor of his domain.

'That looked like it hurt, I probably should've left the water there… Nah he'll be fine'

Yuji groaned, opening his eyes.

"Hey you, you're finally awake." Sukuna called out.

Yuji rubbed his eyes, muttering "Skyrim…?"

"No. it's me, Sukuna"

Yuji looked up, seeing Sukuna standing next to a shrine atop a mountain of skulls.

"Woah… where am I?"

"We're in my domain." Sukuna explained.

"Your what?"

"Think of it like a mental landscape."

Yuji's eyes sparkled in amazement, eyes wide in realization.

"This is just like Naruto and Kurama!"

Sukuna tilted his head, acting confused.

"I'm like Naruto and you're like Kurama!" Yuji elaborated, explaining nothing at all.

Sukuna looked at Yuji in contemplation, speaking in a questioning tone.

"I suppose this…Naruto was a famous vessel who got possessed by a… Kurama after my death?"

"No– it's like– well it's– nevermind, it's not really important."

Sukuna huffed in amusement, gesturing for Yuji to come up to the shrine.

"Come up here Vessel, we have much to discuss."

Yuji nodded, walking up to the shrine and sitting down when Sukuna conjured chairs for them both.

"Tell me your name, vessel."

"Oh, right! My name's Itadori Yuji, I'm into girls like Jennifer Lawrence!."

Sukuna nodded, not bothering to comment as he spoke.

"Itadori Yuji, you are going to be executed."

"WHAT!?"
