The heavy mahogany door to the master suite was the only thing standing between the most powerful CEO in New York and the absolute chaos of fatherhood. But inside that room, the world had shrunk down to the friction of skin and the frantic heat of a marriage that refused to cool.

​Alexander had Adrian pinned against the door, his large hands anchoring Adrian's wrists high above his head. The air was thick, charged with the scent of expensive sandalwood and the raw, unbridled energy of a "quick morning round" that had turned into something much more intense. Alexander's movements were rhythmic and powerful, his brow slick with sweat as he moved with a desperate, familiar hunger.

​"Alex—" Adrian gasped, his head lolling back against the wood, the vibration of Alexander's name rattling in his chest. "We... we have a deadline. Your mother..."
